Loss function play a fundamental role in every quality engineering method. A new set of loss functions is proposed based on Taguchi"s societal loss concept. Its applications to robust parameter design are discussed in detail. The loss functions are shown to posses some interesting properties and lead to theoretical results that cannot be handled with other loss functions.

This study addresses manufacturers’ ability to influence their supply chain network in order to adapt to their competitive environment. From the perspective of a manufacture, the supply chain comprises a network of suppliers and customers, and is theoretically viewed as a complex adaptive system. This study considers the following questions: (1) How can adaptability of supply chain network be operationally defined? (2) How does adaptability of supply chain network lead to combinative capabilities? (3) What is the influence of adaptability of supply chain network on business performance? Drawing on literature streams in supply chain management, operations strategy, organizational change and learning, and complexity theory, this study develops and tests the constructs and operational measures of adaptability of supply chain network and model the nomological set of relationships among constructs that form the basis of our theory. This study then develops and tests a model describing the outcomes of adaptability of supply chain network and its influence on combinative capability and business performance. Empirical results of this study show that adaptability supply chain network directly and positively affects combinative capability. Further, this study finds that adaptability of supply chain network does not impact business performance directly, but rather is mediated through combinative capability, which provides the requisite variety for firms to survive and thrive in dynamic environments.

공급업체평가를 위한 DEA 모형의 확장

본 연구는 공급업체 선정의 중요성, 공급업체 선정을 위한 다양한 방법론들, 그리고 공급업체 선정을 위한 평가항목들을 기술한 후, 효율적인 공급업체를 선정하기 위한 방법론으로서 새롭게 수정하고 확장한 DEA 모형을 제안한다. 또한, 몇몇 DEA의 확장 모형들을 중심으로 DEA에 대하여 논의하고, 이에 따라 DEA의 장점과 단점을 논의함으로써, DEA의 낮은 판별력 그리고 효율성 측면에서 공급업체들의 순위를 평가하는 데 있어서 DEA의 제한적 능력을 제거할 수 있는 새로운 접근방법을 설명한다. 공급업체의 평가를 위해 다양한 평가항목들로 구성된 사례분석을 실시함으로써 본 연구에서 새롭게 제안한 접근방법을 분석하였다. 그 결과가 교차효율성방법(cross-efficiency method) 및 초효율성방법(super-efficiency method)에 의한 결과와 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질 요인과 고객 만족에 관한 연구: 한국인 이용자와 중국인 이용자의 비교를 중심으로

본 연구는 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질 요인과 고객 만족 사이의 관계를 실증적으로 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 구체적으로 O2O 배달 앱 서비스를 이용자에 대한 온라인 서비스와 오프라인 서비스로 구분하여 어떤 서비스의 품질 요인이 고객 만족에 상대적으로 유의한 영향력을 지니는지, 그리고 이들 품질 요인과 고객 만족의 관계가 이용자 특성이 다른 한국인 이용자와 중국인 이용자 사이에서 유의한 차이를 나타내는지를 규명함으로써, O2O 배달 앱 서비스를 개발하거나 제공하는 기업에게 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질을 활용한 수익 창출의 대안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 이용자로부터 수집된 483개의 설문자료를 이용하여, 측정모형으로부터 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질을 세 가지 요인, 즉 시스템 품질, 정보 품질, 인도 품질로 도출한 후, 구조모형으로부터 이들 품질 요인과 고객 만족사이의 관계에 관한 가설들을 검정하였으며, 이 관계가 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 이용자 특성에 따라 어떻게 다른지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질 요인 중 시스템 품질과 인도 품질이 고객 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 한국인 이용자보다 중국인 이용자에서 인도 품질의 고객 만족에 대한 영향이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 O2O 배달 앱 서비스를 개발하거나 제공하는 기업이 O2O 배달 앱 서비스의 품질 요인을 차별화하여 적용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the relationship between quality factors and customer satisfaction with the O2O delivery service. Delivery service was divided into online and offline services, and analysis was performed to identify quality factors that significantly influence customer satisfaction and to examine the moderating effects of Korean and Chinese cohorts on causal relationships, as a means of generating profit by improving O2O delivery service. A questionnaire was completed by 483 O2O delivery app users. The measurement model used divided quality of service into three factors, namely, system, information, and delivery quality. A structural model was used to test hypotheses regarding relationships between these quality factors and customer satisfaction and to analyze the moderating effects of user characteristics on these relationships. The analysis confirmed that customer satisfaction significantly influenced system and delivery quality. In particular, delivery quality had a greater effect on customer satisfaction among Chinese than Korean users. These findings suggest that companies creating and providing O2O delivery app services need to differentiate and apply service quality factors.

DEA 모형의 확장에 관한 연구

본 연구는 공급사슬네트워크에서 공급자 선택의 중요성, 공급자 선택을 위한 다양한 방법론들, 그리고 공급자 선택을 위한 평가항목들을 기술한 후, 공급자 선택을 위한 방법론들 중 효율성 측면에서 공급자를 평가하고 선택하는 접근방법인DEA 모형을 수정하고 확장한다. 기존 DEA의 확장 모형들을 중심으로 DEA 모형에 대하여 논의하고, 이에 따른 DEA 의 기본 모형과 교차효율성모형(Cross-efficiency Model) 및 초효율성모형(Super-efficiency Model)과 같은 DEA의 확장 모형들에 대한 각각의 장점 및 단점을 분석함으로써, 이들 DEA의 기존 모형들이 공급자의 효율성을 평가하는 과정에서 제기되는 문제로서의 낮은 판별력, 계산비효율성, 제한적 효과를 극복할 수 있는 새로운 접근방법을 제시한다. 그리 고 공급사슬네트워크 내 특정 조직으로부터 공급자를 평가하기 위하여 다양한 평가항목들로 구성된 실제 사례를 수집하고 이를 본 연구에서 제시한 DEA의 새로운 확장 모형에 적용하고 분석한 후, 그 결과를 기존 DEA의 기본 모형 및 확장 모형들에 의한 분석 결과와 비교함으로써, 공급사슬네트워크에서 조직이 효율성 측면에서 공급자를 평가하고 선택하기 위한 효과적인 방법을 제안한다. Supplier evaluation, an important element in purchasing decisions, has been gaining more and more attention in the literature. This paper presents a new modified Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), named extended DEA for supplier evaluation and selection. A brief description of importance of supplier selection, various supplier selection methods, and supplier selection criteria is given. DEA is discussed along with its several extensions. The advantages and disadvantages of DEA are discussed and our new approach to eliminate the poor discriminatory power and inability or computational burden of DEA to rank the efficient suppliers is explained. A case study with a set of criteria is tested with the proposed approach and the results are shown to be in agreement with that of the Cross-efficiency Model and Superefficiency Model. The future research issues are proposed.
