A Multi-word-agent Autonomous Learning Model for Regulating Word Combination Strength
Jinfeng Yang,Yi Guan,Xishuang Dong 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.4
Words are basic structural units of language that combine with each other to form sentences. The learning strength of combinative relations between words is of key importance in sentence structure analysis. Inspired by the analogies between words and lymphocytes, a multi-word-agent autonomous learning model based on an artificial immune system is proposed to learn word combination strength. The model is constructed via Cellular Automation, and words are modeled as B cell word agents and as antigen word agents. The language network is then simulated as an immune network. Meanwhile, Spreading Activation is employed to simulate idiotypic interactions between B cells. This research provides a completely new perspective on language and words and introduces biologically inspired processes from immune systems into the proposed model. The most significant advantage of the model is the ability of continuous learning and the concise implementation method. According to the graph-based dependency parsing method, the syntax dependency tree of a sentence can be predicted based on word combination strength in a bottom-up paradigm, from pairs of smaller structures to larger structures. Therefore, the effectiveness of the model can be verified by sentence dependency parsing. The experimental results on the Penn Chinese Treebank 5.1 indicate that our model can effectively and continuously learn word combination strength.

Purpose: Bulbar injury is the most common type of urethral injury. This study investigated the efficacy and safety of a novel technique, local urethral flushing, in preventing stricture formation after blunt bulbar urethra injuries. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included 205 males diagnosed with straddle injury-induced bulbar urethra injury at the Shanxi Bethune Hospital and First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University between January 2015 and January 2019. Patients were diagnosed by retrograde urethrography and classified as partial or complete urethral rupture according to the urethral integrity after injury. Complete urethral rupture patients received suprapubic cystostomy and received urethroplasty 3 months later. Patients with partial urethral rupture underwent endoscopic urethral realignment by cystoscopic guide-wire guided catheterization. Patients with both injury types were divided into 3 groups. The treatment groups received urethral flushing with 0.05% dexamethasone through a secondary ureteral catheter that locked at the urethral lesion. The blank control groups received normal saline. The negative control groups had only a single ureteral catheter placed. Patients were assessed for pain during catheterization, infection, and stenosis, and followed for at least 2 years. Results: Stenosis rates and length were significantly reduced in the normal saline groups, and even further reduced in the dexamethasone groups. The negative control groups had significantly higher infection rates than patients in the dexamethasone or saline groups. Conclusions: Local urethral flushing with dexamethasone could significantly decrease urethral stenosis rates and severity without increasing patients’ discomfort or infection risk.
Antioxidant and Anticancer Properties of the Extracts from Lepisorus thunbergianus (Kaulf.) Ching
Jinfeng Yang,권용수,임정대,유창연,김명조 한국약용작물학회 2015 한국약용작물학회지 Vol.23 No.4
Lepisorus thunbergianus (Kaulf.) Ching has been used in folk medicine in Korea. In this study, a L. thunbergianus methanol extract and its fractions were investigated for their antioxidant properties. The results showed that the ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of L. thunbergianus possess potent DPPH radical scavenging activities. Both fractions also possessed reducing power and inhibited reactive oxygen species formation. In addition, the cytotoxic activity of the L. thunbergianus n-hexane fraction (HF) was investigated. The results suggested that the HF remarkably suppressed proliferation of human breast, liver and colon cancer cells. These results demonstrate, for the first time, that L. thunbergianus extract induces apoptosis in SW620 cells, suggesting that L. thunbergianus may have potential as a therapeutic agent for colon cancer.

Zhangrui Yang,Yizhou Long,Xiaoben Yang,Jinfeng Liu,Guocheng Zhu 대한환경공학회 2024 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.29 No.5
Coagulation, a fundamental and crucial operation in water treatment, has a long history of application in water/wastewater treatment processes. The efficiency of coagulation depends primarily on the quality, type, and quantity of coagulants used. Although aluminum or iron-based coagulants are the most commonly employed, polymeric silicate coagulants (PSCs) are less frequently utilized. However, the PSCs are promising candidates that deserve further exploration and examination of their potential applications. This review presents an examination of the advantages, synthesis theory, coagulation mechanism, and structure of PSCs. It also delves into the current limitations of these coagulants in research and the challenges that lie ahead for future studies. Finally, it offers some suggestions for future research directions. These discussions are intended to aid readers in comprehending the fundamental characteristics of these coagulants, enabling them to grasp their design methodologies and application area. This understanding can contribute to overcoming the limitations of this type of flocculants, further enhancing their effectiveness.

In order to study the structural stability of the disc-buckle type formwork support, the multi-parameter experimental analysis of the disc-buckle type formwork support structure was carried out by using experimental and fi nite element analysis method. The infl uence parameters of working conditions, lift height, diagonal bracing and sleeve on the structural stability bearing capacity was mainly considered. The regularity of the buckling direction of the vertical pole, the stress at each typical position on the vertical pole and the axial force of the vertical pole was studied based on the experimental results. Based on the characteristics of semi-rigid connection joints, the correctness of the experimental results was verifi ed by fi nite element analysis, and the results show that reducing lift height and arranging diagonal bracing have remarkable infl uence on improving the structural stability bearing capacity. The usage of sleeves has little infl uence on the structural stability, and the corner pole was the worst position of the overall structural stability. The factors of working conditions and diagonal bracing have the remarkable infl uence on the buckling direction of the vertical pole. The factor of working condition has the most obvious infl uence on the stress uniformity of the vertical pole. The axial force of the vertical pole in the disc-buckle type formwork support structure presented a relatively uniform state from bottom to top in the loading process. The arrangement of diagonal bracing and the usage of sleeves have an infl uence on the uniformity of the axial force of the vertical pole. Compared with the fi nite element results, the error of the structural stability bearing capacity was within 6%, indicated that the fi nite element can accurately simulate the structural stability bearing capacity.

In this study, a terbium(?) complex, Tb(SSA)4 (SSA?=?sulfosalicylate), was synthesized and employed to detect toxic chromate anion (CrO42?) as a visually identifiable probe. Luminescence investigations confirmed that the Tb complex is an excellent probe with high selectivity, high sensitivity (I0/I100 ?M = 9.5), and a low detection limit (2.8???10?8 M), targeting CrO42? in aqueous solution. The simple fluorescence-based probe can be quickly and easily prepared, and enables the reliable, visual detection of CrO42? ion in daily applications.
