      • <디자인과 마케팅>융합을 통한 출판사 협동조합 'POOM' 개발 -그래픽 디자인, 제품 디자인, 공간 디자인을 중심으로-

        본 연구는 한국인의 독서 장려와 보다 효율적인 독서문화 전하를 위해 출판협동조합 브랜드 'POOM'을 개발하는 일련의 과정들을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 2016년 3-6월 15주간 숙명여대 환경디자인학과 <브랜드스페이스마케팅> 수업에서 진행도니 수업의 결과물로써 4개 팀 중 1개 팀의 작업물을 정리한 것이다. 연구 범위는 4개의 주제 중 물의 'product'로 한정하였다. 연구 결과, '늘 내 품에 지닐 수 있는 책' 이라는 상징 개념으로 '품(POOM)'이라고 브랜드 네이밍하였다. 그래픽 디자인은 심플함과 속도감을 나타내는 레드 컬러로 얇은 책을 형상화한 형태를 로고에 적용, 제품 디장니은 휴대하기 편한 패키지디자인 개발, 공간디자인은 지하철 2,3,9호선으로 선정하고 각 호선의 특성을 기반으로 브랜드 컬러로 하여, 각 호선에 맞는 공간과 경유하는 지역의 특성을 통합적으로 브랜딩 하였다. 끝으로 본 연구는 출판협동조합의 아이덴티티를 개발함에 있어서 디자인과 마케팅을 융합하여 좀 더 체계화된 GI, PI, SI의 통합 브랜드 메뉴얼을 만드는 것에 의의가 있으며, 향후 협동조합의 통합 브랜드 디자인 개발에 있어서 그 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

      • Clinical Significance of Expression and Amplification of the DcR3 Gene in Pancreatic Carcinomas

        This study aimed to investigate the clinical significance of expression and amplification of decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) in pancreatic carcinomas (PC). mRNA expression was detected by PQ-PCR, and amplification was determined. DcR3 protein expression was detected by immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Correlations between DcR3 expression and clinical pathological factors were analyzed. The relative amount of DcR3 in PC tissues and non-cancerous tissues showed a statistically significant difference, 21 cases displaying more than two fold DcR3 amplification, while no such amplification was found in normal pancreatic tissues. DcR3 positive cell staining was located in the cytoplasm. The positive rate of DcR3 in PC and non-cancerous tissues showed a significant difference. DcR3 mRNA expression was correlated with clinical staging, size of the tumor, lymph node metastasis and histological staging, while protein expression was correlated with clinical data like tumor size. DcR3 gene amplification only correlated with tumor size. The level of DcR3 in serum of the PC resectable group before operation was $72.2{\pm}10.2$ pg/ml, showing a significant difference compared to gallbladder carcinoma group (GC) or pancreatic benign tumor (PBT) group (P < 0.01). In conclusion, DcR3 amplification is correlated with DcR3 expression in PC tissues, especially those clinical pathological factors which reflect tumor progression. Assessment of DcR3 level in sera of PC patients may be helpful for the early diagnosis and prognostic judgement.

        Objective: In order to design a new service for the traveler, all the cases that without any missing cases must to be considered. In this study, we starting from the traveler point of view and try to make the classification for the type of traveler’s activities that include all cases. Background: Unlike the past, we live in an age of information, and our travel behavior becomes more diverse. Diversification and spread of smart devices and more travel-related services made these images more obviously. According to this rapidly changing form of travel, to give travelers a better travel experience, some research is needed on travel behavior of the traveler’s point of view. Method: Through an analysis of the existing research, discovered the problems and improved the problems on the basis of the actual situation. Conclusion: Through this study, we are able to take a partial approach on design of travel. And allows the missing phenomenon does not occur. Application: The travel behavior models may help to discover new opportunities and insights on travel development.

        Synthesis of Novel D-Glucose-derived Benzyl and Alkyl 1,2,3-Triazoles as Potential Antifungal and Antibacterial Agents

        A series of novel glucose derived benzyl and alkyl 1,2,3-triazoles and their hydrochlorides have been synthesized via Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. All the new compounds were characterized by MS, IR and NMR spectra. The DEPT, APT, ^1H-^1H and ^1H-^13C 2D NMR spectra for some compounds were also recorded. These compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213, Bacillus subtilis,Bacillus proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, and antifungal activities against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus. The bioactive data revealed that (3R,4S,5S,6S)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-methoxy-4,5-bis((1-octyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methoxy)-tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-ol 8a exhibited excellent antifungal activity against A. fumigatus with an MIC value of 0.055 mM compared to Fluconazole. It also showed broad inhibitory efficacy against tested bacterial strains with MIC values ranging from 0.049 mM to 0.39 mM.

        Freeze-Dried Powder of Rubus coreanus Miquel Ameliorates Isoproterenol-Induced Oxidative Stress and Tissue Damage in Rats

        Rubus coreanus Miquel (bokbunja), Korean black raspberry, is known to possess various phytochemicals that exert antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer effects. However, most studies on Rubus coreanus Miquel have been performed with the solvent extracts and/or a single component to demonstrate the efficacy, while studies evaluating the effect of the whole fructus of Rubus coreanus Miquel are limited. In this study, therefore, we employed the isoproterenol (IPN)- induced myocardial infarction model and investigated the effect of freeze-dried powder of Rubus coreanus Miquel (RCP) on oxidative stress and prevention of organ damage. Oral administration of RCP reduced the level of toxicity markers, alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) without affecting body weight and diet intake. The oxidative stress marker glutathione (GSH) increased about 45% and malonaldehyde (MDA) decreased about 27% compared to the IPN group with RCP-H (3%) administration. By histological analysis, IPN induced significant myocardial damage in the heart and vascular injury in the liver, and RCP administration ameliorated the damages in a dose-dependent manner. Taken together, RCP activated the antioxidant system leading to prevention of damage to organs by IPN in rats, making it possible to expect beneficial efficacies by consuming the whole fructus of Rubus coreanus Miquel.

        Indirect Detection of Rotor Position of Switched Reluctance Motor Based on Flux Linkage Analytic Model

        In this paper, a flux linkage model based on four magnetization curves fitting is proposed for three-phase 12/8 switched reluctance motor (SRM), with the analysis of the basic principle of flux detection method and function analysis method. In the model, the single value function mapping relationship between position angle and flux is established, which can achieve a direct estimation of rotor position. The realization scheme of SRM indirect position detection system is presented. It is proved by simulation and experiment that the proposed scheme is suitable for rotor position detection of SRM, and has high accuracy of position estimation.

      • HOCl Oxidation-modified CT26 Cell Vaccine Inhibits Colon Tumor Growth in a Mouse Model

        Despite progress in elucidating mechanisms associated with colorectal cancer and improvement of treatment methods, it remains a frequent cause of death worldwide. New and more effective therapies are therefore urgently needed. Recent studies have shown that immunogenicity of whole ovarian tumor cells and subsequent T cell response were potentiated by oxidation modification with hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in vitro and ex vivo. These results prompted us to investigate the protective antitumor response with an HOCl treated CT26 colorectal cancer cell vaccine in an in vivo mouse model. Administration of HOCl modified vaccine triggered robust antitumor immunity to autologous tumor cells in mice and prolonged survival period significantly. In addition, increased necrosis and apoptosis were found in tumor tissue from the oxidation group. Interestingly, ELISPOT assays showed that specific T cell responses were not elicited in response to the immunizing cellular antigen, in contrast to raising sera antibody titer and antibody binding activity shown by ELISA assay and flow cytometry. Further evaluation of the mechanisms underlying HOCl modified vaccine mediated humoral immunity highlighted the role of antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. These results combined with previous studies suggest that HOCl oxidation modified whole cell vaccine has wide applicability as a cancer vaccine because it can target both T cell- and B cell-specific responses. It may thus represent a promising approach for the immunotherapy of colorectal cancer.

        Posterior density estimation for structural parameters using improved differential evolution adaptive Metropolis algorithm

        The major difficulty of using Bayesian probabilistic inference for system identification is toobtain the posterior probability density of parameters conditioned by the measured response. The posteriordensity of structural parameters indicates how plausible each model is when considering the uncertainty ofprediction errors. The Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is a widespread medium for posteriorinference but its convergence is often slow. The differential evolution adaptive Metropolis-Hasting(DREAM) algorithm boasts a population-based mechanism, which runs multiple different Markov chainssimultaneously, and a global optimum exploration ability. This paper proposes an improved differentialevolution adaptive Metropolis-Hasting algorithm (IDREAM) strategy to estimate the posterior density ofstructural parameters. The main benefit of IDREAM is its efficient MCMC simulation through its use of theadaptive Metropolis (AM) method with a mutation strategy for ensuring quick convergence and robustsolutions. Its effectiveness was demonstrated in simulations on identifying the structural parameters withlimited output data and noise polluted measurements.

        High temperature tolerance and thermal-adaptability plasticity of Asian corn borer (Ostrinia furnacalis Guenée) after a single extreme heat wave at the egg stage

        Due to ongoing climate change, short-term extreme heat waves in the summer are expected to be more frequent. Insect eggs are sensitive to thermal stress. This raises the question of whether herbivore insects' thermal adaptability would be changed after a single extreme heat wave at the egg stage. In this study, we examined the developmental performance of Ostrinia furnacalis Guenée at 25 °C, 27 °C, 29 °C or 31 °C after a single extreme heat wave (42 °C) for 0 h (control), 1 h, 2 h, or 3 h at the egg stage. The results showed that O. furnacalis at the egg or larval stage was more sensitive to a single heat wave than it was at the pupae or adult stage. After a single heat wave, O. furnacalis showed a reduced egg-hatching rate or reduced larval survival rate, but the optimum temperature for egg hatching and larval survival was higher than that in the control. The upper temperature threshold and optimum temperature for larval development in the control were higher than that after a single extreme heat wave. Both male and female pupal weight decreased with increasing temperature, and pupal weight decreased faster in females than in males. The Cox proportional hazard model showed that when O. furnacalis developed at 25 °C, the instantaneous death risk of adults with a 3 h heat wave at the egg stage was higher than that of the control, but when O. furnacalis developed at 29 °C and 31 °C, the instantaneous death risk of adults after a heat wave was significantly lower than that of the control. Our study highlights the effect of a single heat wave on O. furnacalis eggs and the subsequent development of survival individuals.
