      • 개인의 사회적 자기효능감과 팀원 간 관계 갈등 인식 및 팀 갈등관리 전략의 효과에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 개인 수준에서 개인이 가지고 있는 사회적 자기효능감이 개인의 관계 갈등 인식에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 그 과정에서 팀이 사용하는 갈등관리 전략의 종류에 따라 사회적 자기효능감과 관계 갈등 인식의 변화 양상을 고찰해보고자 하였다. 17개 팀, 72명의 자료를 바탕으로 분석한 결과, 사회적 자기효능감과 관계 갈등 인식(빈도, 강도)은 통계적으로 유의한 관련성이 나타나지 않았지만, 팀의 갈등관리 전략은 부분적인 조절효과가 나타났고, 팀의 갈등관리 전략의 효과는 사회적 자기효능감이 낮은 사람들에게 더 뚜렷하게 나타났다는 점은 이론적 예측과 일관된 결과였다. 팀 갈등관리 유형과 관련하여 사회적 자기효능감과 관계적 측면의 갈등 인식의 관계를 다룬 초기 연구로서, 본 결과를 토대로 하여 이론적, 실무적 시사점 및 연구의 한계점을 논의하고 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다. This research investigates the relationship between the individual’s social self-efficacy and the perception of relationship conflict (e.g., frequency, intensity) in the individual level. Moreover, the team’s conflict management strategy is considered as a group-level moderator of the social self-efficacy and relationship conflict perception link. Using HLM (hierarchical linear model) analysis with 72 participants in 17 teams, there are interaction effects of dominating strategy and avoiding strategy on the relationship between social self-efficacy and relationship conflict perception although the main effects are not statistically significant. As expected, when the level of conflict management strategy (e.g., dominating or avoiding) is high, the relationship conflict perception level is not different in accordance with the level of individual’s social self-efficacy. However, when the level of conflict management strategy (e.g., dominating or avoiding) is low, the relationship between the social self-efficacy and the relationship conflict perception amplifies. Theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future research are discussed.

      • Low Temperature Thermochromic Polydiacetylenes: Design, Colorimetric Properties, and Nanofiber Formation

        <P>Owing to their stimulus responsive color changing properties, polydiacetylenes (PDAs) have been extensively investigated as colorimetric sensors. Thermochromic properties of PDAs have been the central focus of a number of investigations that were aimed not only at gaining a fundamental understanding of the physical basis of the color change but also at developing practical applications as temperature sensors. The thermochromic transition temperature of a PDA polymer is closely related to the melting point of the corresponding diacetylene (DA) monomer. In addition, the majority of PDAs described to date undergo a blue-to-red color change above room temperature because PDAs are generally derived from DA monomers that have melting points above room temperature. In the current study, we developed a series of low temperature colorimetric PDAs that were designed based on the reasoning that removal of the sources for strong headgroup interactions would lower the melting points of the corresponding DA monomers. This strategy was used to design and fabrication of PDA sensors that display color transitions in the range of 5-30 degrees C. Moreover, the thermochromic transition temperatures of the PDAs were found to decrease by ca. 10 degrees C when the alkyl chain length in the DA monomer is truncated by two methylene units. The results of FTIR and Raman spectroscopic analyses suggest that the PDA alkyl chain adopts an all-trans conformation in the blue-phase and some gauche forms exist in the alkyl chain in the red-phase FDA. Finally, the new PDAs are stable up to 300 degrees C, and their processable nature enables them to be fabricated in nanofiber forms by employing an anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) membrane as a template.</P>

        A Pilot Establishment of the Job-Exposure Matrix of Lead Using the Standard Process Code of Nationwide Exposure Databases in Korea

        Background The purpose of this study is to construct a job-exposure matrix for lead that accounts for industry and work processes within industries using a nationwide exposure database. Methods We used the work environment measurement data (WEMD) of lead monitored nationwide from 2015 to 2016. Industrial hygienists standardized the work process codes in the database to 37 standard process and extracted key index words for each process. A total of 37 standardized process codes were allocated to each measurement based on an automated key word search based on the degree of agreement between the measurement information and the standard process index. Summary statistics, including the arithmetic mean, geometric mean, and 95th percentile level (X95), was calculated according to industry, process, and industry process. Using statistical parameters of contrast and precision, we compared the similarity of exposure groups by industry, process, and industry process. Results The exposure intensity of lead was estimated for 583 exposure groups combined with 128 industry and 35 process. The X95 value of the “casting” process of the “manufacture of basic precious and non-ferrous metals” industry was 53.29 μg/m3, exceeding the occupational exposure limit of 50 μg/m3. Regardless of the limitation of the minimum number of samples in the exposure group, higher contrast was observed when the exposure groups were by industry process than by industry or process. Conclusion We evaluated the exposure intensities of lead by combination of industry and process. The results will be helpful in determining more accurate information regarding exposure in lead-related epidemiological studies.

        Effects of alloying elements of Fe80P13C7 alloys on thermal and soft magnetic properties

        The efects of adding alloying elements to melt-spun Fe80P13C7-based ribbons on their amorphous nature, thermal ability, and soft magnetic properties were examined. We inferred that substituting Si, Ge, Sn, and Sb for P in these alloys could enhance their thermal stability, while excessive substitution would degrade their amorphous-forming ability (AFA). Additionally, the ribbon-shaped amorphous Fe80P13-xC7Mx (M=Si, Si0.5Ge0.5, Ge, Sn, or Sb and x=0–6 at. %) alloys exhibited noticeable soft magnetic properties, featured by a high saturation magnetization (Ms). Particularly, the content of additional element Ge increased the Curie temperature (Tc), resulting in a higher Ms of up to 1.57 T.

      • Evaluating the effects of organic matter bioavailability on nanofiltration membrane using real-time monitoring

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We studied the influence of bioavailability of organic matter on membrane fouling layer development by comparing the filtration performance of two feed waters (wetland water and graywater). Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentration, size exclusion chromatography (SEC), and fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (FEEM) were used to characterize the bioavailability of organic matter in these water samples during the nanofiltration process. The wetland sample contained a high proportion of humic acid- and fulvic acid-like matter with low bioavailability, whereas the graywater sample comprised substantial amounts of aromatic proteins and microbial byproduct-like matter with high bioavailability. In addition, the molecular size distribution revealed that the wetland sample contained a large portion of recalcitrant organic matter, whereas the graywater sample contained easily bioavailable organic matter. After the filtration experiment, the DOC of the wetland sample decreased to 4.8mgC/L, whereas the graywater sample resulted in a lower DOC concentration of 3.4mgC/L. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) illustrated real-time variations in the fouling layer morphology, providing both 2D and 3D images. In addition, confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) quantified the bacterial volume in the fouling layer. The wetland sample yielded a bacterial volume of 11.8µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP> from a total fouling volume of 103µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP>, whereas the graywater sample yielded a bacterial volume of 53.2µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP> from a total fouling layer volume of 134µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP>. Fitting of the two-phase Monod model to the fouling layer growth on the membrane resulted in lower-yield coefficients (i.e., the volumes produced per unit amount of substrate, <SUB> Y xs </SUB> ) of 7.46 and 27.95µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP> in wetland water and higher-yield coefficients of 13.17 and 47.53µm<SUP>3</SUP>/μm<SUP>2</SUP> in the graywater at first and second phase, respectively. This study addresses the quantitative evaluation of the organic matter bioavailability in terms of membrane fouling using OCT images and a two-phase Monod model.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The difference of bioavailability of DOM influenced the amount of fouling layer growth. </LI> <LI> In situ OCT monitoring provided 2D and 3D morphology of the fouling layer and quantified the volume. </LI> <LI> Two-phase Monod model evaluated the influence of bioavailability of DOM on fouling layer growth. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Photo-induced hybrid nanopatterning of titanium dioxide <i>via</i> direct imprint lithography

        <P>A novel ultraviolet (UV)-assisted imprinting procedure that employs photosensitive titanium(<SMALL>IV</SMALL>) di-n-butoxide bis(2-ethylhexanoate) is presented for the fabrication of well-ordered titanium dioxide (TiO<SUB>2</SUB>) nanostructures at room temperature. The main novelty of this technique is the use of the photosensitive titanium organic compound, rather than a commonly used UV-curable resin, for direct UV-assisted nanoimprint lithography. Fourier transform infrared and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies suggest that exposure to UV light resulted in the gradual removal of organic groups from films prepared from titanium(<SMALL>IV</SMALL>) di-n-butoxide bis(2-ethylhexanoate) photochemically and successively converted the films to TiO<SUB>2</SUB> at room temperature.         Chloroplast genome of white wild chrysanthemum, Dendranthema sp. K247003, as genetic barcode

        Dendranthema boreale and D. indicum are easily distinguished from other Korean Dendranthema spp. by having yellow flowers. We have found a putative new taxon of Dendranthema having white flowers, except for sharing most characters with Dendranthema boreale. The chloroplast (cp) genome of the putative new taxon of Dendranthema, Dendranthema sp. K247003, registered in National Agro-Biodiversity Center (ABC), was completely characterized as a genetic barcode. The cp-genome of Dendranthema sp. K247003 was 151,175-bp in size: LSC was 82,886-bp, IR 24,971-bp, SSC 18,347-bp. The cp-genome of Dendranthema sp. K247003 contains 113 genes and 21 introns consisted of 79 protein coding genes, 4 RNA genes, and 30 tRNA genes, with 20 group II introns and one group I intron. Some of the genes and there introns were duplicated in IR. The cp-DNA of Dendranthema sp. K247003 is distinguished from that of D. boreale IT121002 by 67 SNPs in genic regions of 24 protein coding genes and by a 9-bp INDEL in ycf1. Further cp-DNA study will give us better information on genetic markers of Dendranthema species.

        Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Therapy in Intestinal Behcet’s Disease

        Intestinal Behcet’s disease is a rare, immune-mediated chronic intestinal inflammatory disease; therefore, clinical trials to optimize the management and treatment of patients are scarce. Moreover, intestinal Behcet’s disease is difficult to treat and often requires surgery because of the failure of conventional medical treatment. Administration of anti-tumor necrosis factor-α, a potential therapeutic strategy, is currently under active clinical investigation, and evidence of its effectiveness for both intestinal Behcet’s disease and inflammatory bowel diseases has been accumulating. Here, we review updated data on current experiences and outcomes after the administration of anti-tumor necrosis factor-α for the treatment of intestinal Behcet’s disease. In addition to infliximab and adalimumab, which are the most commonly used agents, we describe agents such as golimumab, etanercept, and certolizumab pegol, which have recently been shown to be effective in refractory intestinal Behcet’s disease. This review also discusses safety issues associated with anti-tumor necrosis factor-α, including vulnerability to infections and malignancy. (Gut Liver 2018;12:623-632)
