        Young Patients with Hormone Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer Have a Higher Long-Term Risk of Breast Cancer Specific Death

        Purpose: Although it is widely accepted that hormone receptor (HR) status is associated with later post-diagnostic periods, a debate exists as to whether the association is independent of age. The aim of our study was to confirm the impact of HR status on later period breast cancer-specific death (LP-BCSD) and later period non-breast cancer-specific death (LP-non-BCSD) in different age subgroups. Methods: Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results databases were utilized to identify 181,108 breast cancer patients with > 5 years survival. The cumulative incidence of LP-BCSD and LP-non-BCSD was calculated using the Gray method. The subdistribution hazard ratio (SHR) of variables was estimated via the Fine and Gray proportional hazard regression model. Subgroup analyses for LP-BCSD and LP-non-BCSD were performed according to the HR status. Results: The risk of LP-BCSD was exceeded by that of LP-non-BCSD at > 5 years since the diagnosis, particularly in old women. The competing risk regression model indicated that hormone receptor-positive (HR+) was an independent factor for more LP-BCSD (hazard ratio, 1.54; 95% confidence interval, 1.44–1.54; p < 0.001). However, stratified analysis indicated that HR+ was only associated with more LP-BCSD in the young women subgroup. Although HR+ was associated with more LP-non-BCSD, the predictive value of HR+ for LP-non-BCSD was eliminated after adjusting for age. Conclusions: HR+ was related to LP-BCSD in the premenopausal population. LP-BCSD should be an optimal endpoint in future trials designed to evaluate the role of extended adjuvant endocrine therapy.

      • Expression and Prognostic Value of Matrix Metalloproteinase-7 in Colorectal Cancer

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate expression and prognostic value of matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. CRC tissues and corresponding distal normal mucosa tissues of 118 CRC patients were assessed by immunohistochemistry. Correlations between MMP-7 expression, patients' clinic pathological features, and overall survival rate were analyzed. We found that positive expression of MMP-7 in CRC tissues was significantly higher than that in distal normal mucosa (61.0% vs. 39.8%, p =0.001). Poor histological differentiation, advanced clinical stage and lymph node metastasis were significantly correlated with MMP-7 expression in CRC. The overall survival rate was significantly higher in the MMP-7 negative group than the positive group (Log-rank test= 9.957, p= 0.002). MMP-7 appeared as a significant independent prognostic factor through multivariate survival analysis. Collectively, we found MMP-7 expression to be correlated with progression and metastasis of CRC and thus could be used as a predictive marker of prognosis in CRC patients.

        The microwave magnetism of epitaxy LiFe5O8 thin film modulated by thickness

        Spinel lithium ferrite LiFe5O8 (LFO) has attracted robust research interests due to their potential applications in isolators, circulators, and phase shifters. In this work, a series of LFO thin film with various thickness were fabricated on SrTiO3 (STO) single-crystalline substrates by pulsed laser deposition technology. We systematically investigated the influences of the thickness of LFO thin film on the crystal structure and magnetic properties. The in-plane lattice parameter a and in-plane lattice parameter c were modulated by controlling the thickness of LFO thin film, which was confirmed using reciprocal space mappings (RSMs) technology. Furthermore, the microwave magnetism of LFO thin film with various thickness were studied systematically by ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurement. Moreover, with increasing the thickness of LFO thin film from 50 to 180 nm, the difference of the ferromagnetic resonance field between easy- and hard-magnetization axis can be enhanced and reach to 330 Oe. These results illustrate that dynamic magnetic properties can be controlled by tuning the thickness of LFO thin film. Our work provides an effective method to tailor the lattice parameter and modify the magnetic properties of the LFO thin film and contributes to further design high-frequency functional device.

      • Analysis of Electromagnetic Immunity Experiment for Field Installation of Intelligent Equipment in Substation

        With the increase of voltage level and more and more secondary devices are located in field, the secondary circuit of substation is in a strong electromagnetic environment. Because the secondary circuit is affected by the interference of switch operations, there are many trip accidents happened in substations without any fault in recently years, which constitutes a serious threat to the power network and harms the safe operation of the electric power system. It is of great theoretical significance and practical value to study the Electromagnetic Compatibility problem of the transformer substations substation secondary circuit. In this paper, the abnormal phenomenon of one 110kV intelligent substation merging unit is described. And the reason of the abnormal phenomenon is analyzed. Firstly, the Electromagnetic Compatibility experiments specified by the IEC61000-4 standard are carried out. Furthermore, to verify the anti–interference performance of the merging unit, the Electromagnetic Compatibility experiments above the standard are carried out. The structure of merging unit is improved until the merging unit operates normally. Secondly, to quantitatively analyze the disturbance strength, the electromagnetic disturbance signal is recorded, and the characteristics of amplitude and time-frequency of the recorded signal are analyzed. Thirdly, the characteristics of the logged signal are compared to the IEC61000-4 standard. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions about improving the Electromagnetic Compatibility performance of merging unit.

      • 음식점 실내 이산화질소 노출에 관해 연구

        Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) has been demonstrated to produce many adverse health effects on human. NO2, as important air pollution, has received more and more considerable attention in recent years. The purpose of this study was to investigate NO2 exposure levels in roadside restaurants. This study used multiple measurement method to investigated indoor and outdoor NO2 concentrations. The mass balance model was used to estimate the indoor and outdoor contributions to indoor NO2 concentrations. Indoor NO2 concentrations in restaurant 3 exceeded the Korean Environment Standards, and indoor NO2 concentrations in all restaurants exceeded the Korean Indoor Air Quality Standards in spring. Indoor NO2 concentrations in restaurant 3 only exceeded the Korean Indoor Air Quality Standards in summer. The I/O ratios of restaurants were all higher than 1 both in spring and summer. And the indoor contributions in all restaurants also were dominant in indoor NO2 concentrations both in spring and summer.

        Vehicle Platoon Tracking Control Based on Adaptive Neural Network Algorithm

        To improve the tracking efficiency of the platoon during driving and ensure the spacing safety between vehicles, a platoon tracking control strategy based on the adaptive neural network algorithm is developed. In this method, the nonlinear term in the vehicle model is estimated by the adaptive neural network, and the estimated value is used to compensate for the control input and enhance the tracking performance of the vehicle platoon. In addition, the estimation update law of target trajectory and adjacent vehicle acceleration is designed through the adaptive method, which relaxes the trajectory generation requirements of virtual vehicles, improves the tracking performance of vehicle platoon, reduces the measurement and communication burden in the platoon, and ensures the security and stability of vehicle platoon system. After constructing the vehicle and desired path model, the control objective is formulated, and the adaptive neural network algorithm controller is designed. Meanwhile, the stability of the controller is verified by the Lyapunov method. The feasibility of the proposed method is proved by simulation and experiment. Rigorous theoretical derivation and experiments confirm that the proposed strategy has obvious advantages over other existing strategies.

        A transcription factor TaTCP20 regulates the expression of Ppd-D1b in common wheat

        Photoperiod (Ppd) genes play an important role in the adaptation of wheat to the ecological environment. However, the transcriptional regulation mechanism of photoperiodic genes has remained elusive. This study isolated a full-length promoter of Ppd-D1b (2518 bp) from the common wheat genome. Several essential core cis-acting elements and numerous light-responsive cis-acting regulatory elements were identifed in Ppd-D1b promoter by the in-silico analysis. Ten 5’-deleted length fragments of the Ppd-D1b promoter fused with GUS were constructed and named D0 ~D9, then transferred them into Arabidopsis thaliana. GUS gene driven by full-length (D0) in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana showed the same rhythm with Ppd-D1b in wheat under short-day conditions (SDs, 8-h light/16-h dark). The expression of GUS gene in D0 reached its peak at 3 h after dawn, then decreased to the lowest and remained stable. Analysis of the series of 5’-deleted fragments showed that at 3 h after dawn, GUS gene expression activity decreased signifcantly in D7a due to removal of CHEBS (CCA1 HIKING EXPEDITION binding site). Moreover, yeast one-hybrid (Y1H) and dual-luciferase (dual-LUC) assays revealed that TaTCP20 could bind to the Ppd-D1b promoter to increase its transcriptional activity. This study revealed a transcription factor, TaTCP20, which activated Ppd-D1b by binding to CHEBS, provided a foundation for the theoretical research on wheat’s photoperiodic response mechanism.

        Indoor air quality can be affected by indoor sources, ventilation, decay and outdoor levels. Although technologies exist to measure these factors, direct measurements are often difficult. Toluene and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations of residential indoor and outdoor were simultaneously measured and compared in 16 houses, using passive samplers during every 3 days for 60 days. Using a mass balance model and regression analysis, penetration factor (ventilation rate divided by sum of ventilation rate and deposition constant) and source generation factor (source generation rate divided by sum of ventilation rate and deposition constant) were calculated by multiple indoor and outdoor measurements. The mean concentrations of toluene of indoor and outdoor on residential indoor air quality were estimated to be 38.6±31.9ppb and 38.4±31.0ppb, respectively. On the other hand, mean concentration of NO2 were 22.08±6.96ppb and 26.71±7.04ppb, respectively. These results could be explained that concentration of indoor and outdoor air pollutants sources to residential indoor air concentrations are different. In conclusion, concentration of outdoor air and indoor sources affecting indoor air quality were effectively characterized using multiple indoor and outdoor measurements.

        Workers who work at indoor and outdoor environmant near busy road are suspected to be exposed to high-elevated air pollutant levels during working hour. This study evaluated the working-time nitrogen dioxide (NO2) exposure for workers of store. In this study, we measured the indoor and outdoor NO2 concentrations of store. High NO2 exposure for workers of store was considered to be inflow of outdoor source of exhausted emission from vehicles and indoor source from usage of gas range. Indoor/Outdoor NO2 concentration ratio (0.99± 2.19) in store. According to NO2 concentrations by distance from roadside to store, NO2 concentrations showed the decreased trend with distance. The results of this study can be utilized by municipal authorities in urban planning for evaluating effects of future traffic planning and land use.
