        Dual receiver topology for bipolar dynamic wireless power transfer systems

        Segmented dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) systems can solve the problems of large battery size, long charging time, and the limited driving range of electric vehicles (EVs). Aiming at the load voltage fluctuation caused by the mutual inductance drop when moving over two adjacent transmitting coils, this paper proposes a novel segmented DWPT system with dual receiver topology circuits. The current phase difference between two adjacent transmitting coils is controlled to 180 degrees. The dual receiver topology circuits are in series to improve the output voltage. According to the real-time position of the EV, the system has two working modes under the control of the proposed topology, which consists of three fully controlled components and six diodes. Finally, experiments were carried out and the obtained results show that the designed topology is effective when it comes to reducing the voltage fluctuation when passing two adjacent transmitting coils. In addition, the topology is able to maintain a high transmission efficiency with a maximum efficiency of 87.68%.

        Experimental and Analytical Study of Eccentrically Braced Frames Combined with High-Strength Steel

        In the structure of high-strength steel composite eccentrically braced steel frames (HSS–EBFs), the links and braces are made of Q345 steel, while the non-energy-dissipation segments (columns and beams) are made of high-strength steel (HSS). HSS reduces the cross-section of the members and increases the economic effi ciency. Here, four groups of K-HSS–EBFs are designed by performance-based plastic design method in this paper, which includes 5-storey, 10-storey, 15-storey and 20-storey, and each group contain four diff erent link length (900, 1000, 1100 and 1200 mm). The cyclic test loading was applied to 1:2 scale three-storey K-type HSS–EBFs (K-HSS–EBFs) with shear links to investigate their seismic performance. The results indicate that the as-prepared K-HSS–EBF structure exhibits excellent bearing capacity, ductility, and energy dissipation. We also fi nd that the fracture of the link web in the second storey led to the degradation of the load-carrying capacity. The non-designated yield members remained in the elastic stage, whereas the links ultimately experience inelastic rotations, and thus dissipate the energy in the K-HSS–EBFs. Moreover, nonlinear pushover analyses and nonlinear dynamic analyses are conducted, and the loading capacity, link rotations, ductility, interstory drifts and failure mode under rare earthquake of all models are compared. The results indicate that K-HSS–EBFs with diff erent link length have similar deformation characteristic and failure mode under pushover analysis or rare earthquakes, and the interstory drifts, link rotations and ductility of HSS–EBFs are increased with rising the link length.

        Liver metabolic perturbations of heat-stressed lactating dairy cows

        Objective: The objective of the present study was to elucidate the mechanism underlying liver metabolic perturbations in dairy cows exposed to heat stress (HS). Methods: Liquid chromatography massabl spectrometry was used to analyze metabolic differences in livers of 20 dairy cows, with and without exposure to HS. Results: The results revealed 33 potential metabolite candidate biomarkers for the detection of HS in dairy cows. Fifteen of these metabolites (glucose, lactate, pyruvate, acetoacetate, ${\beta}$-hydroxybutyrate, fumaric acid, citric acid, choline, glycine, proline, isoleucine, leucine, urea, creatinine, and orotic acid) were previously found to be potential biomarkers of HS in plasma or milk, discriminating dairy cows with and without HS. Conclusion: All the potential diagnostic biomarkers were involved in glycolysis, amino acid, ketone, tricarboxylic acid, or nucleotide metabolism, indicating that HS mainly affected energy and nucleotide metabolism in lactating dairy cows.

      • A General Encryption Algorithm for Different Format Videos

        With the rapid development of social network, more and more information is being presented in the form of multimedia, so the security of multimedia files, especially video files, has been capturing the attention of the researchers. Video encryption is widely applied to the DRM system, video conference, medical and military fields and so on. A general video encryption algorithm is proposed to solve the problem that the existing multiple formats (compression formats and container formats) of video requires a unified encryption scheme. Meanwhile, the proposed scheme can not only provide variable levels of security, but also have good performance of compression efficiency and computational complexity, which can ensure that the encrypted video data can be operation.

      • Lightweight Key Distribution Protocol for Streaming Media DRM

        In the daily-real systems, protecting the data only is far less enough. The process about the generation, distribution, storage, and the revocation of the key is the core problem in the system-security consideration. If the management of the key is insecure, attackers could easily get the key used in the encryption steps to the context, leading to useless processing in the encryption no matter how secure the system be. Unlike the period of validity for the different key, the key can easily be attacked by various methods due to its distribution through the complex net links, which would bring about the threatening of the security. In this paper, we analyze three models of the key distribution, associated with the actual applications for the encryption in the hypermedia video stream. Besides, we raise up a new protocol based on the IKEV2 distribution protocol and evaluate the stability when it suffer the Man-in –the-Middle Attacks, DoS and Replay attacks.

        An Interactive Strategy of Grid and Electric Vehicles Based on Master‑Slaves Game Model

        In order to avoid the adverse efects of the grid caused by disorder large-scale electric vehicles and improve supporting function of energy storage battery on the power grid, interaction model of electric vehicles (EVs) and the power grid is constructed according to a master-slave game method. Then, the utility functions of each participant are established, and the dynamic constraints of the batteries for EVs are established considering the travel demand of users. Then, based on the YALMIP/CPLEX solver, the optimal response strategy of the EVs can be obtained, and the genetic algorithm is used to solve the Nash equilibrium solution of the master-slaves game model. Moreover, the Monte Carlo method is employed to simulate the user travel data and the basic parameters of EVs in a certain area. Based on these data, the optimal time-of-use price in this area is ofered, and the optimal response strategy of EVs under this price is analyzed. Finally, the study of the case show that the proposed game model can make the strategies of both the EVs and the grid, which can restrict the load fuctuation of the grid and improve the beneft of EVs without afecting their travel.
