        This study was carried out to investigate the performance enhancement of forced oxidation operation on the limestone utilization and SO₂ removal efficiency of the pilot flue gas desulfurization system. The results are as follows : 1. The results of the forced oxidation tests have shown that converting from natural to forced oxidation operation can have a significant effect on both limestone utilization and SO₂ removal efficiency of an FGD system. Conversely, if the limestone utilization is maintained at a constant level, the SO₂ removal efficiency will increase. Conversely, if the pH is held constant, the limestone utilization will increase significantly. 2. This characteristic of a forced oxidation system can translate into lower L/G requirements and, therefore, reduced capital and operating costs for slurry recycle pumps. 3. Forced oxidation operation will provide improved limestone utilization and, therefore. reduced limestone reagent costs.

      • 유온감압탈수처리한 슬러지의 재이용 가능성에 관한 연구

        This study was to experiment, through sewage sludge treatment by Vacuum Frying Method, the sludge composition change before and after treatment, the thermal specific character, and the effects of treatment condition come up to sludge water content. The results are as follows. 1. The contents of crude protein and crude fat were respectively 4.8% and 3.4% before treatment, and those were 18.9% and 12.5% after theatment. 2. According to the results of Thermogravimetric analysis, the temperature ranges of themal decomposition were 290-430℃ and 250-380℃ before and after treatment. According to the results of Derivative Thermogravimetric analysis, the temperature of rapidly mass decreas occur respectively 320℃ and 280 C. For the more proper treatment and reuse of organic wastes, the continuous studies of Vacuum Frying Method are more needed.

        The serious economic crisis North Korea has recently undergone exists as the ground for expectation of changes to the North Korean politico-economic development strategy, but the North Korean reality is that North Korea has taken partial action to resolve the imminent economic difficulty rather than fundamental changes. It is because the breadth and extent of policy choice in North Korean is constrained in advance as the Chuche(identity) ideology in North Korean society defines and cements as the principle of its regime the chieftain system in political terms and the autonomous national economic line in economic terms. The change of the development strategy can not but be constrained further because the Chuche ideology constraining the development strategy is the fundamental element supporting North Korean society and simultaneously is positioned as the principle directly closely to survival, the maintenance of the regime. That is, the Chuche(identity) ideology is the contradictory political mechanism of the North Korean society. The Chuche(identity) ideology was shaped in interaction with the process of defining the regime in the formative period of the North Korean regime. But it was turned into pure ideology of North Korea as it was systematized and came to have the power of defining the regime in an unilateral way. It served the function of rationalizing the chieftain system in political terms and the autonomous national economic line in economic terms in the process of their establishment. Based on this discussion, this study attempted to define the chieftain system as the political characteristic of North Korean and the autonomous national economic line as its economic characteristic. It focused this discussion on the constraint of the Chuche(identity) ideology as the reason for difficulty with the change of the North Korean politico-economic development strategy. As a result, the following findings were as follows: The North Korean ruling ideology of the Chueche ideology has performed a functional role in maintaining the North Korean regime, whereas it played a dysfunctional role in pursuing economic development. As a consequence, it enabled Kim Jung-il to succeed to Kim Il-sung's power in political terms and led the economic crisis such as food shortage, energy shortage and raw material shortage. To overcome the economic crisis arising from the failure of the economic development strategy, North Korea needs to modify the existing development strategy. But the economic development strategy is confronted with limitations due to the constraint of the Chuche(identity) ideology and the inefficiency of the chieftain system. The Chuche(identity) ideology and the chieftain system all are the principle of the regime that Kim Junh-il can give up. The North Korean politico-economic development strategy is becoming a dilemma in pursuing the Chuche(identity) ideology and the chieftain system with economic development. Accordingly, emphasis in put on the Chuche(identity) ideology and the autonomous national economic line and the chieftain system are lasting.

        편심 압축력을 받는 스테인리스 각형강관 기둥의 곡률형상에 따른 좌굴내력에 관한 실험적 연구

        This study is a series of experimental investigation on the buckling strengths of eccentrically compressed cold-formed stainless steel square hollow section columns. The principal parameters in this study are slenderness ratios(λ=30, 50, 70) and magnitude of eccentricity e(0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5. 10cm) on the direction of end-moment. The direction of end-moment means 3 different bending moment distributions. Objectives of this paper are to obtain the maximum loads and moments by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with the design standard curves, AIK-LSD and AISC-LRFD, AIJ-LSD, SIJ-ASD curves. The ultimate buckling strengths and bending moments of square section members were evaluated by a method in accordance with design standard curves. Therefore this paper attempts design standard for the use of these stainless steel columns as structural compression members. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling strengths and bending moments design standard curves of beam-columns showed a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results.

        축력과 양단 대칭모멘트를 받는 스테인리스 각형강관 기둥의 좌굴내력에 관한 실험적 연구

The principal parameters in this study are slenderness ratios(λ=30, 50, 70) and magnitude of eccentricity e(0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10cm) on the symmetrical end-moment. Objectives of this paper are to obtain the maximum loads by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with analytical results. The ultimate buckling strength of square section members are evaluated by a numerical method in accordance with the bending moment-axial force(M-P) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen is displayed in the form of moment-angle(M-θ) relationship. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling interaction curves of beam-columns showed a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results.

      • 쓰레기 매립장의 LFG 이용에 관한 기초연구

        In this research, the optimum LFG pilot plant of extraction, purification, and application are selected by economic analysis, constructed and operated for the development of the standard LFG utilizing process process proper to domestic landfill. LFG recovery pilot plant was constructed at the base of the result of optimized design and economic evaluation performed at S,D landfill(landfil1 area : 514,345m², landfill depth : 23-39m, landfill MSW amount : 12,808,317m³, landfill period : 87.6-93.5) in Pusan. It was consisted of four extraction well(two extraction well with 18.5m depth, two extraction well with 10m depth), collection head with 160m length, scrubber with capacity 14m³/min as purification process, and flare stack as burning facilities. And monitoring well was set at 30, 50, 70, 90m far from extraction well for the estimation of influence radius. The following experiments were performed using the predeveloped LFG reconvery pilot plant. First, LFG generation amount and generation rate were estemated from the atom analysis of municipal solid waster in S,D landfill. Second, real LFG extraction rate of some 0-10㎥/min was obtanied from operating of LFG recovery process. Third, influence radius was estimated 85-100m according to varying 407㎥/min extraction rate. Fourth, composition of LFG was detected in extraction well and the before and after of purification process.

Objectives this study are to obtain the maximum loads by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with analytical results. The ultimate buckling strength of CHS members are evaluated by a numerical method in accordance with the axial force-bending moment(P-M) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen is displayed in the form of moment angle(M- θ) relationship. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling interaction curves of beam columns show a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results of slenderness ratios(L_(k)/r = 30, 50). But experimental results of slenderness ratios 70 were below M-P interaction curve.
