<P>A novel range-free localization algorithm based on the multidimensional support vector regression (MSVR) is proposed in this paper. The range-free localization problem is formulated as a multidimensional regression problem, and a new MSVR training method is proposed to solve the regression problem. Unlike standard support vector regression, the proposed MSVR allows multiple outputs and localizes the sensors without resorting to multilateration. The training of the MSVR is formulated directly in primal space and it can be solved in two ways. First, it is formulated as a second-order cone programming and trained by convex optimization. Second, its own training method is developed based on the Newton-Raphson method. A simulation is conducted for both isotropic and anisotropic networks, and the proposed method exhibits excellent and robust performance in both isotropic and anisotropic networks.</P>
A Framework for Classifying Business Ecosystems Based on Customer Participation
Jaehun Joo(주재훈),Azizbek Marakhimov(아지즈벡 마라히모브) 한국인터넷전자상거래학회 2012 인터넷전자상거래연구 Vol.12 No.4
Most studies regarding business ecosystems consider members of collaborative business networks such as suppliers, business partner, and vendors. That is, most researches ignore the importance of customer participation in business ecosystems. Advanced information technologies enable customers to cooperate and co-create value in business ecosystems. In this paper, we propose a framework for classifying business ecosystems based on customer participation. We measure customer participation based on two dimensions, in which one is a type of platform classified into open and closed systems; the other is the level of customer participation expressed as high and low. In other words, we describe four types of business ecosystems from perspectives of customer participation and openness of platform. We analyze cases of each type of business ecosystem by providing evidence of cases such as Microsoft, Amazon and Twitter, and present strategic guidelines for each type of business ecosystems.
Analytical Asymptotic Solutions for Rectangular Laminated Composite Plates
Jaehun Lee,Maenghyo Cho,Jun-Sik Kim 한국항공우주학회 2011 International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sc Vol.12 No.2
An analytical solution for rectangular laminated composite plates was obtained via a formal asymptotic method. From threedimensional static equilibrium equations, the microscopic one-dimensional and macroscopic two-dimensional equations were systematically derived by scaling of the thickness coordinate with respect to the characteristic length of the plate. The onedimensional through-the-thickness analysis was performed by applying a standard finite element method. The derived twodimensional plate equations, which take the form of recursive equations, were solved under sinusoidal loading with simplysupported boundary conditions. To demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the present method, various types of composite plates were studied, such as cross-ply, anti-symmetric angle-ply and sandwich plates. The results obtained were compared to those of the classical laminated plate theory, the first-order shear deformation theory and the three-dimensional elasticity. In the present analysis, the characteristic length of each composite was dependent upon the layup configurations, which affected the convergence rate of the method. The results shown herein are promising that it can serve as an efficient tool for the analysis and design of laminated composite plates.
A Doherty Power Amplifier With a GaN MMIC for Femtocell Base Stations
Jaehun Lee,Dong-Ho Lee,Songcheol Hong IEEE 2014 IEEE microwave and wireless components letters Vol.24 No.3
<P>A Doherty Power Amplifier (PA) with the proposed GaN MMIC for femtocell base stations is presented. The MMIC was fabricated using a 0.25 μm TriQuint GaN process. An on-chip quadrature coupler based on a lumped magnetic coupler with capacitors was used to reduce the chip size. The MMIC with an area of 2.5 × 2.7 mm2 includes an input matching circuit, a driver transistor, carrier and peak transistors at power stage, and an inter-stage matching network with the quadrature coupler. The Doherty PA with MMIC shows 56.2% power added efficiency (PAE) with a gain of 19.7 dB when the output power is 41.2 dBm for a 2.14 GHz CW signal. For a down link WCDMA signal, the PAE of 39.6% is achieved at an output power of 35.3 dBm. The Doherty PA with the MMIC presented here has a small effective module area of 7 × 15 mm2, which can be readily reduced further.</P>
Activity Recognition Using Sensor Network
Jaehun Lee,Byoungyun Lee,Wooyong Chung,Euntai Kim 한국지능시스템학회 2006 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.6 No.3
In the implementation of a smart home, activity recognition technology using simple sensors is very important. In this paper, we propose a new activity recognition method based on Bayesian network (BN). The structure of the BN is learned by K2 algorithm and is composed of sensor nodes, activity nodes and time node whose state is quantized with reasonable interval. In the proposed method, the BN has less complexity and provides better activity recognition rate than the previous method.
