        Comparison of Scapular Kinematics During Active Shoulder Horizontal Adduction Between Subjects With and Without Limited Range of Motion of Shoulder Horizontal Adduction

        Background: Shoulder horizontal adduction (HA) is performed in many activities of daily living. The limited range of motion (LROM) of HA is affected by the tightness of the posterior deltoid, infraspinatus, teres major, and posterior capsule of glenohumeral joint. The LROM of shoulder HA contributes to excessive scapular abduction. Objects: The aim of this study is to compare the scapular abduction distance and three dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder horizontal adduction between subjects with and without the LROM of shoulder HA. Methods: 24 subjects (12 people in LROM group and 12 people in normal ROM group) participated. Subjects with less than 115° of HA ROM were included in LROM group. Shoulder HA was performed 3 times for measuring scapular abduction distance and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula. Tape measure was used for measuring scapular abduction distance. Scapular abduction distance was normalized by dividing the scapular size. Polhemus Liberty was used for measuring the three dimensional displacement of the scapula. Results: Normalized scapular abduction distance was significantly greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.001). Three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA was greater in LROM group than normal ROM group (p<.05). Conclusion: LROM group had a greater scapular abduction and three-dimensional displacement of the scapula during shoulder HA compared to normal ROM group.

        Given the rapid growth of home-building industry, the market of cultured marble wash-basin has been developed over the past two decades. Since the late 70's, the construction of large-scale apartment complex has resulted in significant growth in wash-basin market. The early market of wash-basin was largely dominated by earthenware. However, the needs for trash-basket, changes in design and colour, and high-quality were substituted marble wash-basin for earthenware. That is the material advantages of which marble have design change easily, smart finishing touches, size stability, etc. Especially, marble has the material property of making product not restricted by size. And the case of product development of marble wash-basin of Dong-Bang corporation was introduced. Base on this study, the market of cultured marble wash-basin will be more grow and all new items will be of the highest quality toward functional product.

        In the hardening process of cultured marble bath-tub and wash-basin, it is important to maintain an average temperature condition. That is why that quality of cultured marble product is settled by the accurate temperature condition. This paper focus on hardening way to improve productivity of cultured marble products. And new hardening way which is used infrared rays is introduced. New way apply tube-heater in hardening the marble products. According to the example of 'D' company, excellency of this way is established.

        This study focus on the development of new molding ways of the cultured marble washbasin & bathtub to produce higher quality goods. On looking back upon the past 30 years in the market of the washbasin & bathtub, our product quality level was below the standard and the production facility was largely imported goods. And the inferior quality leads to the unsatisfaction of customer. But the leading companies are have been concentrated their effort on the productivity and quality improvement. In this study, we introduced the success case of ‘BACHE’ which gained productivity improvement by developing the molding process.

        고온에서 회전하는 터빈엔진 디스크의 응력해석

        This study includes thermal plasticity analyses for a turbine rotor with the simple geometry and the boundary conditions. When centrifugal or thermal stress are applied at the high temperarture material of engine blade, stress distributions in material σ_rr, σ_θθ, τ_rθ. Mises stress) are analyzed by computer simulation(ABAQUS) as followings; 1. The maximum stress at the radial direction (σ_rr) is applied at the upper middle part of spline hole. 2. The maximum stress at the tangential direction (σ_θθ) is applied at the upper right boundary of spline hole. 3. The maximum shear stress (τrθ) in (-) direction is applied at the upper middle part of spline hole. 4. The maximum Mises stress is applied at the upper right boundary of spline hole. This stress is due to the critical stress by which rotor can be fractured according to elapsed time.

        As the machine tool industry progresses, the performance of cutting tools also needs to be of good quality and specialized. If the existing metal cutting tool tip is coated properly, its life would be longer and the machining of a difficult-to-cut material also could be possible. For the development of the high quality cutting tool, the applicabilities of TiCN coating deposited by PVD on the cutting insert were experimentally investigated. The various analyses such as SEM micrograph, XRD pattern, AFM surface morphology, and hardness were performed to cross-check the possibility and availability of TiCN coated tool in the field.

        신기능성 물질 탐색을 위한 침엽수잎의 특수성분 분석에 관한 연구 (Ⅰ) : 펙틴, 탄닌, 테르페노이드의 분석 Analysis of Pectin, Tannin and Terpenoids

        요 약 주요 소나무류잎의 특수성분을 분석하여 시판되고 있는 솔잎 가공식품의 기초데이터를 제공함과 동시에 임산화학 분야의 학문적 기초데이터를 축적하기 위하여 실시한 결과, 펙틴은 잣나무가 가장 높게 분석되었으며, 탄닌은 잣나무가 높게 분석되었고, 소나무와 해송은 유사하였다. 테르페노이드 성분중 α-pinene은 소나무와 잣나무에서, β-pinene은 리기다와 해송에서 높게 분석되었으며, 희귀성분으로는 잣나무에서 sabinene과 citronellol, 리기다에서는 α-pinene oxide 등이 분석되었다. 특히 소나무일체 다량 존재하는 성분은 α-pinene, β-caryophyllene, β-phellandrene, Δ3-carene, phytol 등 이었다. 향기성분의 주체인 α-pinene, limonene, bornylacetate들이 소나무와 잣나무에서 보다 많이 분석된 것으로 보아 삼림욕의 상쾌한 내용의 주체성분이라고 생각된다. ABSTRACT Pectin and tannin analysis were carried out to inverstigate any available components from Pinus densiflora, koraiensis, P. thunbergii and P. rigida. To analyze terpenoid components, the essential oils were extracted with steam distillation method from four kinds of pine needles. The essential oil was analyzed by GC and GC-MS spectroscopy.The results were summarized as follows: Pectin content was highest in P. koraiensis with 0.40%, and tannin content was highest in P koraiensis with 1.05. Major components of P. densiflora needles were α-pinene, β-caryophyllene, Δ3-carene and phytol. α-Pinene, Δ3-carene, β-caryophyllene, germacrene D, and camphene were found major components n P. koraiensis. Major components of P. thunbergii needles were β-pinene, α-pinene, β-caryophyllene and germacrene D. β-Pinene, α-pinene, humulene oxide and α-elemene were major components in P. rigida. Sabinene and citronellol were infrequent components in P. Koraiensis, and α-pinene oxide was present only in P. rigida. α-Pinene, limonene, and bornylacetate well known as the mail components of green air bath were found in P. densiflora and P. koraiensis.

        인코넬 690 합금의 절삭성에 관한 연구

        In domestic industry, there is no manufacturers specialized in the production of cutting tools for the difficult cutting materials. Then, we have few data about them. In this study, the gear driving high speed lathe on which is mounted by a tool dynamometer and high speed CCTV were used to measure the various machining characteristics. Relations among the cutting speed, feed rate per revolution, cutting depth, cutting forces and surface roughness were graphically analyzed under 64 cutting conditions. The process of chip, i.e., generation, development and falling-off also were visualized for the characterization of chip shapes of the difficult-to-cut materials using the CCTV.

        인코넬 690 합금의 크리프거동

        Inconel 690 alloy has widely been used in power plant and high temperature facilities because it has high thermal resistance and toughness. But, we have little design data about the creep behaviors of the alloy. Therefore, in this study, an apparatus has been designed and built for conduction creep tests under constant load conditions. A series of creep tests on Inconel 690 alloy have been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of inconel products and we have gotten the following results. First, the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increase. Secondly, the creep activation energy gradually decreases as the stresses becomes bigger. Thirdly, the constant of Larson-Moller parameters on this alloy is estimated about 10. And last, the fractographs at the creep rupture show both the ductile and the brittle fracture according to the creep conditions.
