이종호,최복수 관광경영학회 1998 관광경영연구 Vol.2 No.-
Jongho Lee & Boksoo Choi The management of a modern corporation requires human resource, material resources, information, etc. And the need for management technique of the corporation to develope main human resources is now greater than ever. Managers have to reform management technique in order to satisfy job satisfaction of hotel employees. This thesis not only make an attempt to find the solutions to the probloms through the theory and an emprical investigation on the job satisfaction of the hotel employees but also to improve the efficiency of business administration and management of hotel workers. This is thought as the result of the fact that a man having high growth nee is influenced rather by job characteristics rather than by other dimension. And the basic idea of this approach is to built into job attributes t at create conditions for high work motivation, satisfaction, and performanc. In conclusion, in order to improve psychological and behavioral outcomes of works, all five core job characteristics should be developed. And introducting job redesign through job characteristics approach, managers should consider employee's individual differences.

There has been worldwide attention on the efficient removal of radioactive iodine, because it is commonly released in nuclear plant accidents. Increasing concerns on environmental problems due to the radioactive iodine are leading us to develop stable and sustainable technology for remediation of radioelement contaminants. In this work, we report a highly efficient chromatographic method for specific and rapid capture of radioactive iodine. The gold nanoparticles immobilized dextran gel columns showed excellent removal capabilities of radioactive iodine in various conditions. These results suggested that our platform technology can be a promising method for the desalination of radioactive iodines in water.

Two-dimensional locomotion of a microrobot with a novel stationary electromagnetic actuation system
Choi, Hyunchul,Choi, Jongho,Jeong, Semi,Yu, Chungsun,Park, Jong-oh,Park, Sukho Institute of Physics Publishing 2009 Smart materials & structures Vol.18 No.11

In this paper, we study the locomotion of a microrobot for intravascular therapy. As an intravascular microrobot has to be small, a conventional actuator, such as a micro-motor, and a battery cannot be integrated. To solve this integration problem, we analyze a microrobot with an electromagnetic actuation (EMA) system. Previously, an EMA system using two stationary coil pairs was proposed for the 2-dimensional (D) planar locomotion of a microrobot. The EMA system used two stationary pairs of Helmholtz coils and two stationary pairs of Maxwell coils in the x- and y-direction, respectively. This paper proposes a novel stationary EMA system using two pairs of Helmholtz coils and one pair of Maxwell coils. The 2D locomotion of the microrobot using the proposed EMA system is analyzed and verified by various experiments. The microrobot actuated by the proposed EMA system was able to move in the desired direction on the desired path. The comparison between the proposed EMA system and the previous EMA system showed that the proposed system had an 18% smaller volume and used 91% less coil current for the same actuation force than the previous EMA system. The proposed EMA system produced 2D locomotion of the microrobot, while having a small volume and a lower power consumption than the previous EMA system.

Electromagnetic Design of Consecutive HTS Quadrupole Magnets for the Preseparator at RISP
Choi, Jongho,Lee, Sangyoon,Lee, Chan Kyeong,Kim, Do-Gyun,Park, Minwon,Sim, Kideok Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 2018 IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity Vol.28 No.3

The rare isotope science project (RISP) was established at the Institute for Basic Science, Daejeon, South Korea to construct a heavy ion acceleration facility for rare isotope beam production. The separators include two pre- and main separators. The central purpose of the preseparator is to remove the primary and unwanted isotope beams; radiation heating and shielding are the major design considerations. For a warm ion, the high-temperature superconducting (HTS) dipole magnet will be used in the front region of the preseparator, and six HTS quadrupole magnets will be installed consecutively. In this paper, we present the electromagnetic design details and the specifications of the consecutive HTS quadrupole magnets for the preseparator at the RISP. Metal (Stainless steel 316) insulated magnets were designed to include iron cores. Using the finite-element method tool, six HTS magnets were modeled and simulated. The operational characteristics including the field gradient, effective length, and uniformity of each magnet were analyzed and presented as well. The research outcomes will be useful for the actual construction of a heavy ion acceleration facility in South Korea.

Supercoil Company Ltd. has commercialized a 300-k W-high-Tc-based superconducting induction heater (SIH). Supercoil has many patents related to the SIH as well as technologies to maintain thermal stability and reliability in the operation of a high-Tc superconducting magnet against uneven quench through the metal insulation winding method. Here, two high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets were installed with the two iron cores. The configuration of the 300-kW SIH was introduced. The heating simulation results of the various metal billets were shown through the temperature distribution of the billet. Operating results of the HTS magnets, such as the terminal voltages, excitation current, magnetic flux density, and magnet temperature, are presented and shown. Through these results, metal industries gain access to SIH reference information.

AN ITERATIVE DISTRIBUTED SOURCE METHOD FOR THE DIVERGENCE OF SOURCE CURRENT IN EEG INVERSE PROBLEM
JONGHO CHOI,CHANG-OCK LEE,HYUN-KYO JUNG 한국산업응용수학회 2008 Journal of the Korean Society for Industrial and A Vol.12 No.3
This paper proposes a new method for the inverse problem of the three-dimensional reconstruction of the electrical activity of the brain from electroencephalography (EEG). Compared to conventional direct methods using additional parameters, the proposed approach solves the EEG inverse problem iteratively without any parameter. We describe the Lagrangian corresponding to the minimization problem and suggest the numerical inverse algorithm. The restriction of influence space and the lead field matrix reduce the computational cost in this approach. The reconstructed divergence of primary current converges to a reasonable distribution for three dimensional sphere head model.

Fast key-frame extraction for 3D reconstruction from a handheld video
Jongho Choi,Soonchul Kwon,Kwangchul Son,Jisang Yoo 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2016 Journal of Advanced Smart Convergence Vol.5 No.4
In order to reconstruct a 3D model in video sequences, to select key frames that are easy to estimate a geometric model is essential. This paper proposes a method to easily extract informative frames from a handheld video. The method combines selection criteria based on appropriate-baseline determination between frames, frame jumping for fast searching in the video, geometric robust information criterion (GRIC) scores for the frame-to-frame homography and fundamental matrix, and blurry-frame removal. Through experiments with videos taken in indoor space, the proposed method shows creating a more robust 3D point cloud than existing methods, even in the presence of motion blur and degenerate motions.
The Effects of Diverse Polling Methods on the Estimation of Candidates’ Approval Ratings:
Jongho Choi,Taegyoon Kim,Kangwook Han 서울대학교 국제학연구소 2017 Journal of International and Area Studies Vol.24 No.1
In election polls, do the RLC (the ratio of landline surveying to cellphone surveying), response rate, ARS (Auto Response System) influence the estimation of candidates’ approval ratings and the gap between them? Using data on 86 election polls during the 19th presidential election, this paper empirically analyzes the effects of different polling methods – RLC, response rate, and ARS – on the estimation of approval ratings of electoral candidates. The results of empirical analysis show that the approval rating of Moon Jae-in (the progressive candidate who receives overwhelming support from the 20s and the 30s) tends to increase in election polls where the proportion of cellphone surveying is high, response rate is low, and ARS is adopted. After all, the result suggests that the deep generational cleavage and the solidity of the supporters are being reflected in election polls.
