부산지역 일부 약수터에 대한 ‘맛있고 건강한 물’의 지표 적용
김현실,김익성,박청길,곽명화,윤철종,박승조 동아대학교 환경문제연구소 2001 硏究報告 Vol.24 No.2
This study was performed to investigate the water quality of some natural mineral springs in Busan. Samples for this study were collected at fifty sites during a year. from March 2000 to February 2001. The overall tendency of mineral was Na>Ca>Mg>K, and the seasonal variation of each components were like this - Ca: Win>Spr>Sum>Aut, Mg: Spr>Win>Sum>Aut, Na: Sum>Aut> Spr>Win, K: Aut>Sum>Spr>Win The K and O index suggested by Hashimoto was followed : delicious water(58%) > not belong to any group(34%) > healthy and delicious water(6%) > healthy water(2%).
Phytophthora Species, New Threats to the Plant Health in Korea
Hyun, Ik-Hwa,Choi, Woobong The Korean Society of Plant Pathology 2014 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.30 No.4
Given the lack of a resistant genetic pool in host plants, the introduction of exotic invasive pathogens can result in epidemics that affect a specific ecosystem and economy. Plant quarantine, which is designed to protect endemic plant resources, is a highly invaluable safeguard that should keep biosecurity with increasing international trade and global transportation. A total of 34 species of plant pathogens including Phytophthora infestans were documented as introduced from other countries into Korea from 1900 to 2010. The genus Phytophthora, classified in oomycetes, includes more than 120 species that are mostly recognized worldwide as highly invasive plant pathogens. After 2000, over 50 new species of Phytophthora were identified internationally as plant pathogens occurring in crops and forest trees. In Korea, Phytophthora is also one of the most serious plant pathogens. To date, 22 species (about one-fifth of known species) of the genus have been identified and reported as plant pathogens in the country. The likelihood of new exotic Phytophthora species being introduced into Korea continues to increase, thus necessitating intensive plant quarantine inspections. As new potential threats to plant health in Korea, six Phytophthora species, namely, P. alni, P. inundata, P. kernoviae, P. pinifolia, P. quercina, and P. ramorum, are discussed in this review with focus on history, disease, biology, management, and plant quarantine issues.

A fungus detected from the importing seeds of Papaver rhoeas under plant quarantine inspection in Korea was identified as Brachycladium penicillatum Corda. It differed in morphological characteristics from a similar species, B. papaveris, which was known to form no macroconidiophores and no microsclerotia. Since the first interception in 2006, this fungus has frequently been found from importing seeds of Papaver spp. It was detected from 31 out of 282 seed consignments imported from 2006 to 2011. To prevent its introduction to Korea, the seed consignments infested by B. penicillatum were destroyed or reshipped.

Pharmacopuncture, or herbal acupuncture, is a new form of therapy derived from combinations of two traditional therapeutic methods, herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy. To compare the efficacy between loratadine-pharmacopuncture (LP) and loratadine-oral administration (LO), the effect of loratadine was investigated in murine models. Anti-anaphylactic effects of loratadine treatments were investigated in compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic reaction and passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA). LP treatment significantly inhibited the compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic reaction and PCA. The effect between LP and LO were on a similar level. These results indicate that LP can be used as an alternative method for LO in case of emergency.
Lepidopteran Hitchhikers through Vessel of Inanimate Pathways
Minyoung Kim,Ik-Hwa Hyun,Ki-Jeong Hong,Heung-Sik Lee,Jong-Ho Lee,Seunghwan Lee 한국응용곤충학회 2013 한국응용곤충학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2013 No.10
Lepidopteran hitchhikers were investigated in vessel at five major ports of Korea in 2013. These moths were collected by International Plant-Quarantine Accreditation Board (IPAB) during inspection on vessels for Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM). The results typically include the taxonomic identification, their origin localities, and information related to commodities and ship’s route. A total of 1,026 individuals were detected in vessels and identified with 236 species belonging to 21 families. Although most of the species are already known to the Korean fauna, the following three species are unknown: Lymantria xylina Swinhoe (Lymantriidae), Glyphodes actorionalis Walker (Crambidae), and Histia flabellicornis nigrinus Jordan (Zygaenidae). Interestingly, H. flabellicornis nigrinus Jordan was detected for two consecutive years. Although this species is not an important pest, it will be need to necessarily continual monitoring. L. xylina Swinhoe which is a great potential forest pest, was detected four times (16 specimens) at Busan port of entry. Therefore, it is necessary to provide comprehensive border surveillance monitoring and a valuable historical record of the array of lepidopteran hitchhikers transported to the Korea through inanimate pathway, in order to counter further potential importance of hitchhikers on international vessels at Korea.

Background: Considering the kinetic chain of the lower extremity, a pronated foot position(PFP) can affect malalignment of the lower extremity, such as a dynamic knee valgus (DKV). Although the DKV during several single-leg movement tests has been investigated, no studies have compared the differences in DKV during a single-leg step down (SLSD) between subjects with and without PFP. Objects: The purpose of this study was to compare the DKV during SLSD between subjects with and without PFP. Methods: Twelve subjects with PFP (9 men, 3 women) and 15 subjects without PFP (12 men, 3 women) participated in this study. To calculate the DKV, frontal plane projection angle (FPPA), knee-in distance (KID), and hip-out distance (HOD) during SLSD were analyzed by twodimensional video analysis software (Kinovea). Results: The FPPA was significantly lower in PFP group, compared with control group (166.4° ± 7.5° and 174.5° ± 5.5°, p < 0.05). Also, the KID was significantly greater in PFP group, compared with control group (12.7 ± 3.9 cm and 7.3 ± 2.4 cm, p < 0.05). However, the HOD not significantly differed between two groups (12.7 ± 1.7 cm and 11.4 ± 2.5 cm, p > 0.05). Conclusion: The PFP is associated with lower FPPA and greater KID. When assess the DKV during SLSD, the PFP should be considered as a crucial factor for occurrence of DKV.
