        This study aims at grasping the relativity between laborers' yangseng level and stress so as to present the groundwork for preventive oriental medicine approach in industrial health. The researcher prepared the questionnaire on general character, health-related yangseng level and chose 632 people to execute Autonomic balance test through heartbeat change. The collected material was analyzed by SPSS and tested by T-test, ANOVA. The general yangseng level average is 3.27, morality yangseng 3.91, sleep yangseng 3.39, mind yangseng 3.32, sex life yangseng 3.29, exercise yangseng 3.14, activities and rest yangseng 3.07, diet yangseng 2.95, seasonal yangseng 2.84. The highest is morality yangseng and seasonal yangseng is the lowest. In the aspect of yangseng level: Having a spouse, Non-smoking, Non-drinking, Regular exercising, Sufficient sleeping have higher yangseng levels. In Autonomic balance test, age from 35 to 40 has the highest autonomic activity and job period from 5 years to 10 years has the highest stress resistance. Non-smokers have high autonomic activity and stress resistance. Further, have low autonomic balance, stress index and fatigue strength. In the case of regular exercising person, he/she has high autonomic activity and stress resistance with low stress index. Regarding sleeping time, autonomic balance is the highest when he/she sleeps less than 6 hours. Stress resistance is the highest when he/she sleeps 7 hours and stress index is the highest when he/she sleeps 6 hours. After comparing the relativity between yangseng level autonomic balance test, only exercise yangseng has plus factor on autonomic activity and stress resistance and minus factor on stress index and fatigue strength. Yangseng level has been affected by individual character and daily habits. Also stress is more influenced by daily habits than by individual character. We can find the relativity of exercise yangseng between yangseng and stress which suggests that we need to take measures to win over stresses in individual health in the near future.

      • 導引按蹻 중 按蹻法에 대해 - 의료기공 원리에 근거한 휘담식 수기요법

        Objective : The purpose of this study is to understand a medical Gigong's view of the human body through the analysis of medical Gigong techniques, and to understand the concept and treatment principle of Whidam’s Su-Gi therapy as the Angyo(按蹻) Method of Doin Angyo(導引 按蹻) Methods : Among Medical Gigong, Sojucheon practice, Moosim-Gigong Riding stance, Moosim-Gigong Doinbeop, Hwalinsimbang Doinbeop and Donguibogam Jang-Bu Doinbeop were selected to analyze the practice method. The medical Gigong’s views of the human body are organized into overviews and pathological perspective. The main concepts and clinical techniques of Whidam’s Su-Gi therapy were summarized. Discussion : Understanding the principles of medical Gigong is necessary in order to understand the Angyo method of Doin Angyo. The principle of medical Gigong is to circulate around Three-Danjeon(丹田) on the human belly and Three-Gwan(關) on the human back by practicing medical Gigong, and to strengthen the life force by activating the viscera function by communicating between the limbs and the body. If there are Jeokchwi(積聚) and deviation, Whidam’s Su-Gi therapy eliminates the Jeokchwi and adjusts the deviation. Conclusions : 1. The Angyo method of Doin Angyo originates from the practice of training to establish Danjeon for the right body and the right flow of air. 2. The principles of medical Gigong obtained through the analysis of Sojucheon(小周天) practice, Moosim-Gigong Riding stance, Moosim-Gigong Doinbeop, Hwalinsimbang Doinbeop and Donguibogam Jang-Bu Doinbeop are the medical Gigong’s view of the human body and pathological perspective. 3. Whidam’s Su-Gi therapy, which focuses on the elimination of Jeokchwi and the adjustment of deviation based on the medical Gigong’s view of the human body, is a manual therapy that inherits the principle of the Angyo Method of Doin Angyo.

      • 기공교육 향상을 위한 양생기공학 강의평가 분석

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to develop a Gi-Gong method instruction configured with modern motions to suit the Medical curing characteristics of Korean Medicine and improve the development and validation of educational and clinical needs. Methods : We took survey on 33 students after giving ‘Yang-Seng Gi-Gong’ lectures at Woosuk University School of Korean Medicine in the first semester of the year 2015. Results : 1. Reflection of training goal was 7.75±1.79, which showed that the education was overall interesting, but showed a high satisfaction with the practical rather than the theoretical lectures. 2. General difficulty level was intermediate, but the practice of Hwal-In-Shim-Bang Do-In-Beop from several formulations were evaluated relatively difficult exercise. 3. The propriety of training materials were rated as mostly adequate, but that assessment was relatively less appropriate for the linkage of theory and practice, and that of time allocation and place was a normal level. 4. For the propriety of time distribution, the class of one semester such as the current is rated appropriate by 61% of students. 5. General class participation was 6.34±2.52, then participation in practice than theory lessons were active. On the other hand, Induction training participation and participation appeared to be relatively low correlation, but overall interesting and participation in practice high correlation. Conclusions : The difficulty level of theory lessons is necessary to be adjusted and lecture form will need to continue focusing on practical lessons.

        Objective : The objective of this study is to report the effectiveness of conservative treatment on simple pelvic fracture with ostomy. Methods : A female patient 65 years old with ostomy, who were diagnosed as simple pelvic fracture by X-ray, were treated with conservative treatment by herbal medication with acupuncture and physical therapy. We evaluated the effectiveness by checking X-ray, Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging(D.I.T.I.). Results : The symptoms of the patient got improved and X-ray showed the fracture were healing. Conclusions : Conservative korean medical treatment can be effectively used for a patient with simple pelvic fracture and ostomy.

        청폐사간탕(淸肺瀉肝湯)과 YKK012의 항암제 CPT-11과 병용투여 시 대장암 성장억제에 미치는 효과

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to evaluate the antitumor effects of Cheongpyesagan-tang(CST) and YKK012 on colon cancer. Methods : MTT assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of Single herbs and combinations of CST and YKK012 on murine colon cancer cells, Colon 38. To explain effects of apoptosis in colon cancer, we performed the western blot. Effects of CST and YKK012 on antitumor activity of CPT-11 using the murine colon38 allograft tumor in BDF1 mice. Results : Single herbs and combinations of CST and YKK012 was tested in vitro, Rhei Radix (RH) and Scutellariae Radix (SC) and YKK012 showed dose-response cytotoxicity on Colon 38. This might be due to the apoptosis, as we see Bax and Caspase-3, which are apoptotic factors, was expressed in RH and SC treated cells. YKK012 also showed increased expression of Caspase-3. In mouse colorectal cancer xenograft model of colon38 cells, herbal combinations showed tendencies of tumor regression, but was not significant. Furthermore, because toxicity was observed in CST group, we reduced the dose of CST for the next experiment. The anti-tumor effects of herbal combinations were insufficient to be used as single anti-tumor agent. With simultaneous usage of CPT-11, contrary to that CST showed no synergistic effects, YKK012 which was composed by the combination of four ERβ selective herbs, significantly reduced the size of tumor and Bax expression was increased. Conclusions : We suggest YKK012 can be a effective cancer adjuvant therapy with CPT-11 on colon cancer.

        Objective : The purpose of this study is to grasp the concept of Pyegi and to find out the points of attention in the study of the classics of Korean Medicine. Methods : We searched domestic and foreign databases for examples of Pyegi used in classics and prior research on Pyegi, Taesik, and Respiration. Results : As a result of searching the Kanseki Repository, Pyegi appeared 1,710 times in 335 kinds of literatures. In the Korean Traditional Medicine Knowledge DB, Pyegi appeared 61 times in 21 kinds of literature. In the Korean Classics Comprehensive DB, a total of 25 data were searched for Pyegi, and 10 of them were translated. Conclusions : The term "Pyegi" should not be interpreted in a linguistic sense. In order to understand the intention of the sentence at the time, "Pyegi" must be translated into breathing control exercises during Naedan training methods.

        비대칭 마그네트론 스퍼터링을 이용한 STS316L 박막의 전기화학 특성 평가에 관한 연구

        Coatings were deposited at 200℃ on S45C carbon steel using unbalanced magnetron sputtering (UBMS) of an fcc STS 316L (UNS S31603) target of 9㎝ in diameter. The total deposition pressure in the active Ar gas is 8×10^(-3)Torr. Coatings were deposited at various target power densities and bias voltages. Chemical compositions of metallic elements in coatings were measured by energy dispersive X-rays spectroscopy (EDS). X-Ray diffraction (XRD) measurements were performed to evaluate the crystal structure of the stainless steel films. Corrosion properties of the coated specimens were examined using electrochemical polarization measurements. The porosity rate was obtained from a comparison of the dc polarization resistance of the uncoated and coated substrate. The residual stress of the film was calculated from the curvature measured by stylus method. EDS results indicated that chemical compositions of coatings were similar to those of the target material that was a commercial grade STS 316L. XRD results showed that an austenitic phase could be achieved by using above 25W/㎠ power density in UBMS system. Potentiodynamic polarization curves indicated that the values of the corrosion potential of coatings are approximately at the potential of between those of bulk STS 316L and S45C. The increase of a power density caused the high residual tensile stress of coating, while, the increase of a bias voltage led to a substantial decrease in porosity. Finally, an optimized deposition condition for corrosion protection was found for 25W/㎠ , -200V coating.

        HIF-1α and HSP90: target molecules selected from a tumorigenic papillary thyroid carcinoma cell line.

        <P>It is important to properly identify aggressive tumors among differentiated thyroid cancers that are most often indolent. By comparison of a tumorigenic clone with an originally less tumorigenic papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) cell line, we looked for markers involved in the aggressive biology of thyroid cancer. Human PTC cell lines BHP10-3 and its tumorigenic subclone BHP10-3SC(mice) were compared using microarray analysis. Upregulated genes in the tumorigenic clone were selected for RT-PCR, immunoblot analysis and immunohistochemistry in human tissue. Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α and its chaperone protein heat shock protein (HSP)90 showed significantly increased expression in BHP10-3SC(mice) and human PTC tissue. These two genes, HIF-1α and HSP90, were further validated using siRNA gene knockdown, pharmacological inhibition using 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-AAG), an inhibitor of both HSP90 and HIF-1α and in vivo orthotopic animal model. Invasiveness of BHP10-3SC(mice) was abrogated by blockade of HIF-1αin vitro by both siRNA and 17-AAG. The same finding was demonstrated in the orthotopic animal model. These findings support that HIF-1α is important in tumorigenesis of PTC and that it may serve to be an important target for identification and treatment of aggressive tumors.</P>
