      • 쐐기형 레일클램프에서 조의 회전을 방지하기 위한 적정 쐐기각에 대한 연구

        Recently many countries have concentrated their effort on the port automation, in order to be the Hub-port, that the ULCS (Ultra Large Container Ship) could come alongside the quay in their region. As the magnitude of the container ship increases, that of the container crane (used in quay) increases from 50ton-class to 61ton-class more and more. The wind velocity criteria to design the structures used in the port was upgraded from 30m/s to 40m/s due to change of the weather condition. When we design wedge type rail clamp which can protect container crane from sudden wind blast with constant clamping force regardless of the operating period, it is important to determine the angle of wedge within proper range. In this study we designed the wedge angle of the wedge-type rail clamp using the FEA.

      • Nondestructive Characterization of Metal Matrix Composite by Means of Ultrasonics

        초음파를 이용하여 비파괴적으로 단섬유 강화 알루미늄복합재료의 탄성계수의 측정기법에 대하여 연구하였다. 이를 위해 강화섬유 함유량을 0%에서 30%까지 5단계로 변화시킨 시험편을 제조하여 강화재 체적율의 변화에 따른 탄성계수의 변화를 정량적으로 측정하여 종래의 파괴적인 방법으로 구한 결과와 비교 검토 하였다. 그 결과 초음파의 종파, 횡파속도로 부터 비파괴적으로 평가된 탄성계수의 값은 4점굽힘시험에 의해 파괴적으로 측정된 값에 비교해 약간 낮은 값을 보이고 있으며, 등가응력조건(equal stress condition) 식에서 구한 이론적인 결과와 잘 일치하고 있음을 보여주고 있다.

But properties of micro materials should be known to give results of research developed into still more. In these various material properties, reliability data such as mechanical, optical, thermal property, etc is the basic property. In this paper, it is developed that is Strain measurement module for micro material property system.

      • Energy Method와 幾何學的 方法에 의한 圓環의 垂直, 水平 變位比較

        To study the elastic behavior of thick ring under the concentrated compression load, the geometric method by the circumferential deformation and the angular displacement and energy method-Castigliano's theorem-were adopted. The influence of diameter, thickness and ratio t/D was researched and the comparison of the two theories were followed up by the experimental results. The results obtained are as follows. 1. P/Δ by either geometric method or energy method are exclusively determined by the ratio t/D, nether t nor D 2. In the vertical deformation P/Δ₃is smaller than P/Δ₁ and the experimental results P/Δ_(e) have almost linear trends and approach to P/Δ₃ more closely, and in the horizontal deformation, P/Δ'_(e) approaches to P/Δ'₂ 3. In the vertical deformation, the absolute value P/Δ₁ and the approximate value P/Δ₂ don't show great difference, but in the horizontal deformation, they do. At most, P/Δ' is larger than P/Δ.

      • 쐐기형 레일클램프의 초기압착력 발휘를 위한 중추무게에 관한 연구

        The wedge type rail clamp has the operating mechanism: First, the jaw pad clamps a rail with small clamping force. Next as the wind speed increases, the clamping force of the jaw pad is increased by the wedge. In order to design the wedge type rail clamp, we need to determine the proper wedge angle to minimize the sliding distance of a roller and the proper clamping angle of a locker to generate the initial clamping force of a jaw pad. The researches for the proper wedge angle have conducted, and in this study we conducted the investigation to determine the proper clamping angle of a locker in the rail clamp with wedge angle of 10˚. Because the initial clamping force of the jaw pad was determined by the clamping angle of the locker, in order to carry out the clamping force of a jaw pad, we measured the locking force applied to a locker with respect to the clamping angle of a locker, such as 3°, 4°, 5°, 6° using a pressure gauge, and compared the results with the FEA results.

        This study was carried out to analyze the effect of machinery house loaction on the stability of high efficiency gantry crane which can improve the productivity of the container transportation work by reducing cycle time. The wind load was evaluated according to 'Load Criteria of Building Structures' enacted by the ministry of construction & transportation. The uplift forces of high efficiency gantry crane under this wind load were calculated by analyzing reaction forces at each supporting point. And variation of reaction forces at each supporting point was analyzed according to machinery house location.

      • A Study on the Comparison of wind pressure on the member of Container Crane using Wind tunnel test and CFD

        Because strong wind is one of the few forces that, although considered in container crane design, still cause significant damage, a container crane was tested to investigate wind load characteristic in uniform flows. So, this study measured an external point pressure at the each members of a container crane according to a wind direction and a shape of members in a wind-tunnel test. The result of this test was compared to those of computation fluid dynamics using a CFX 10. The scale of a container crane model for wind tunnel test applied similarity scales to consider the size of the wind tunnel test section and the boundary condition for CFD is like wind tunnel test.

        구내 골신장술 후 식립된 전치부 임플란트보철 치험보고

        Objective : This is to report the effectiveness of intraoral distraction osteogenesis for alveolar augmentation in the extremely atrophied alveolar defects and to review the clinical results of the 2 cases. Subjects and Methods : Anterior segmental osteotomy was performed and the trans-oral alveolar distractors(Martin, Germany) were applied in 2 patients with the severe acquired anterior maxillary and mandibular defect. After latent period for 1 week, the osteomized alveolar segments were distracted by 1 ㎜ a day (0.5 ㎜/l turn) for 8 days in case Ⅰ and 0.6 ㎜ a day(0.3 ㎜/l turn) for 10 days in case Ⅱ. The consolidation period was about 8 weeks in each case. Thereafter, 6 titanium threaded implants(Branemark, Restore) were simultaneously installed with removal of distractor. The implants were tested clinically and radiographically. Results : Amounts of acquired alveolar bone were 8 ㎜ in case Ⅰ and 6 ㎜ in case Ⅱ respectively, with the increased width of the ridge crests and soft tissue expansion. Dental implants installated on the augmented alveolar ridges in 8 weeks after distrction were confirmed as in good osseointegration and in good function without any complications. Conclusion : Intraoral distraction osteogenesis can be a good option for alveolar ridge augmentation of the severely atrophied ridges and soft-tissue defects. However, for the better vector control of distracting segments and for anterior esthetics, customized distraction devices could be considered later.

      • 광대역형 Ferrite/Rubber 복합형 전파흡수체의 제작 및 특성

        In this paper, the microwave absorption properties of two layered absorber were evaluated. The two layer absorber were composed of Ni-Zn ferrite/rubber and Ferroxplana/rubber absorber. The excellent absorption properties of the two layered absorber were shown that the transforming layer was Ferroxplana/rubber absorber and the absorbing layer was Ni-Zn ferrite/ rubber absorber and that the optimal thickness of transforming and absorbing layer were 4 and 1(mm), respectively.

        소화관내 이물에 대한 고찰

        We analyzed records at Chonnam university hospital from Sep. 1. 1993 to Aug. 31. 1996 to assess clinical significance of the foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract. There were 133 episodes consisting of 79 pediatric and 54 adult patients as possible to review. In the pediatric patients, the coin was the most common cause of foreign body ingestion, while adult patients were usually caused by bones and meat. We removed foreign bodies in the oral cavity and oropharynx in 12 cases using direct laryngopharyngoscpy and forcep. Endoscopy was performed successfully in 47 of 51 patients in which was attempted; there were two complications composed of an aspiration pneumonia and a mediastinitis due to esophageal perforation. There were spontaneous passage of foreign bodies in 48 cases. We observed complications in 6 cases in which 4 cases needed operations due to complications. Foreign bodies which pass into the stomach can be observed for development of complications, as 94% of foreign bodies which reach the stomach spontaneously pass. Only 4 patients required interventions, which was done without mortality.
