This article examines the role of Seoul, South Korea’s capital, in the global imaginaries of the sharing economy. Experiments with sharing have been attempted all over the world, but Seoul was the first to proclaim itself a sharing city in September 2012, to much acclaim worldwide. Detailing Seoul’s sharing agenda, the article shows that international enthusiasm about Seoul’s sharing economy depends on exaggerating its scale and ignoring its complicity with the usual distribution of economic opportunities. My overarching argument, however, is that globally the sharing economy is significant as an imaginary of a post-capitalist future and that, by appearing to be what it was not, the Sharing City Seoul has played an important role in energizing those imaginaries. The article’s data comes from public discourses about Seoul’s sharing economy and participant observation at its two ritual sites, OuiShare Fest 2016 in Paris and Seoul Sharing Fest 2016.

The article is based on a model, in the context of which there are two fundamental building blocks of basic library skills and skills in the use of information technology. The former are formed within the framework of educational programs for users of academic libraries, the latter are formed within the framework of initiatives such as the European Computer Driving License. Between the basic and the highest levels of the concept of "information literacy" there are seven heading skills and attributes, the repeated practice of which leads from the position of a competent user to an expert level of reflection and critical awareness of information as an intellectual resource. Freshmen will likely be at the beginning of the arrow, probably practicing only the first four skills, while graduate students and young scientists will be closer to the end and will use seven skills.

Scientific space, one can observe the differentiation of the definition of the terms "value", "value orientations" because it does not yet have a clear standard definition. Many researchers have dealt with this topic, researched, analyzed, observed, and made conclusions. However, there is still a rich scope for research of such phenomena of personal structure as value orientations. Psychologists-researchers who, in their scientific, practical, and theoretical works, dealt with the topic of values and value orientations and came to the general conclusion that values are a structural component of a personality, with the help of which a person achieves a goal, sets this goal, and characterizes position in life. Saw the relationship between values and the basic structures of the personality, including value orientations-considered in values a system of orientation and personality attitudes.
