Effect of Fungal Treated Wheat Straw on the Diet of Lactating Cows

        Fazaeli, H.,Jelan, Z.A.,Mahmodzadeh, H.,Liang, J.B.,Azizi, A.,Osman, A. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2002 Animal Bioscience Vol.15 No.11

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of diets that contained different levels of fungal treated wheat straw on the intake, digestibility and performance of lactating cows. Eight primiparous Holstein cows, in late lactation ranging from $170{\pm}10$ days in milk and yielding $14.3{\pm}1.3$ kg/d of fat corrected milk (FCM) were allocated into four diets with 0, 10, 20 and 30% fungal (Pleurotus ostreatus coded P-41) treated wheat straw in a $4{\times}4$ Latin Square experiment. The daily intake of DM, OM, DOM, CP and TDN were not affected by substitution of alfalfa hay with fungal treated wheat straw. Inclusion of the treated straw at different levels in the diet did not affect the digestibility of nutrients, except for the ADF that was significantly (p<0.05) reduced in the diet contained 30% treated straw. The types of the diet did not significantly affect daily milk and FCM production. The milk composition including fat, protein, lactose, solid non-fat (SNF) and total solid (TS) were not statistically (p>0.05) different among the diets. All cows gained weight, but the inclusion of treated straw to the diet significantly (p<0.05) increased the body weight gain and the highest amount was obtained in the diet containing 20% treated. Inclusion of fungal treated wheat straw up to 30% of the diet of lactating cows supplemented with a protein source such as cottonseed meal had not affected the nutrients intake and lactation performance.

        Fazaeli, Razieh,Aliyan, Hamid,Mohammadifar, Foroogh,Zamani, Amir Abbas,Bagi, Mohammad Javad Korean Chemical Society 2011 대한화학회지 Vol.55 No.4

The catalytic activity of an inorganic-organic complex with a vanadium-substituted polyoxometalate 1, formulated as [Cu(2,2'-bipy)]$[Cu(2,2'-bipy)_2]_2[PMo_8V_6O_{42}]{\cdot}1.5H_2O$ was studied in the Biginelli reactions. The obtained results showed that, in the one-pot synthesis of dihydropyrimidinones, the turnover frequencies (TOF) for the [Cu(2,2'-bipy)]$[Cu(2,2'-bipy)_2]_2[PMo_8V_6O_{42}]{\cdot}1.5H_2O$ catalyst were higher than the $H_3PMo_{12}O_{40}$ catalyst.

Development of a $^{68}Ga$-Fluorinated Porphyrin Complex as a Possible PET Imaging Agent

        Fazaeli, Yousef,Jalilian, Amir R.,Amini, Mostafa M.,Ardaneh, Khosro,Rahiminejad, Ali,Bolourinovin, Fatemeh,Moradkhani, Sedigheh,Majdabadi, Abbas The Korea Society of Nuclear Medicine 2012 핵의학 분자영상 Vol.46 No.1

Aim Due to the interesting pharmacologic properties of porphyrins, the idea of developing a possible tumor imaging agent using PET by incorporating $^{68}Ga$ into a suitable porphyrin ligand was investigated. Methods $^{68}Ga$-labeled 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluoro-13 phenyl) porphyrin ($^{68}Ga$-TFPP) was prepared using freshly eluted $[^{68}Ga]GaCl_3$ obtained from a 68Ge/68Ga generator developed in-house and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl) porphyrin (H2TFPP) for 60 min at $100^{\circ}C$. Results The complex was prepared with high radiochemical purity (>99% ITLC, >99% HPLC, specific activity: 13-14 GBq/mmol). Stability of the complex was checked in the final formulation and in human serum for 5 h. The partition coefficient was calculated for the compound (log P = 0.62). The biodistribution of the labeled compound in vital organs of Swiss mice bearing fibrosarcoma tumors was studied using scarification studies and SPECT imaging up to 1 h. The complex was mostly washed out from the circulation through kidneys and liver. The tumor-to-muscle ratio 1 h post injection was 5.13. Conclusion The radiolabeled porphyrin complex demonstrated potential for further imaging studies in other tumor models.

Nutritive Value of Wheat Straw Treated with Pleurotus Fungi

        Fazaeli, H.,Mahmodzadeh, H.,Azizi, A.,Jelan, Z.A.,Liang, J.B.,Rouzbehan, Y.,Osman, A. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2004 Animal Bioscience Vol.17 No.12

Soaked and pasteurised wheat straw was inoculated with five species of Pleurotus fungi (coded P-21, P-30, P-41, P-60 and P-90), packed in polyethylene bags and incubated in a fermentation chamber for 21 days. The chemical composition, in vitro digestibility and in sacco degradability of the treated and untreated straw were estimated using a complete randomised design consisting of six treatments and four replicates. In a feeding trial, in vivo digestibility and voluntary intake were determined in bulls, using a $3{\times}3$change over design. Dietary treatments were: 1) untreated wheat straw (UWS) as control; 2) fungal treated (P-41) wheat straw before mushroom formation (FTWS); 3) spent wheat straw (SPWS) after mushrooms were harvested. Apart from P-90, fungal treatment significantly (p<0.05) increased the crude protein (CP) and reduced the cell wall components of the straw. The in vitro dry mater and organic mater digestibility significantly (p<0.05) increased in the treated straw particularly with the treatments of P-41 and P-60. The in situ degradability and in vivo digestibility of DM and OM were significantly (p<0.05) increased in treated straws with the highest values observed for treatment P-41. The intake of DM, OM and digestible organic mater (DOM) were significantly (p<0.05) increased in cows fed FTWS.

Spent Wheat Straw Compost of Agaricus bisporus Mushroom as Ruminant Feed

Fazaeli, H.,Masoodi, A.R. Talebian Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2006 Animal Bioscience Vol.19 No.6

Spent compost wheat straw is an available by-product from edible mushroom production, which constitutes a potential pollutant and is cost effective for disposal. This study was conducted to determine the nutritive value as ruminant feed of spent wheat straw compost from Agaricus bisporus mushroom production. The compost was provided from a mushroom farm, the casing soil was removed from the whole compost, and then it was sun dried and sampled for chemical analysis. An experiment was conducted, in which four wheat straw-based diets comprising control (I), 10% spent straw (II), 20% spent straw (III) and 30% spent straw (IV) were tested in a cross-over design using 8 sheep. Dry matter intake (DMI) was 74.0, 73.8, 70.2 and 57.1 and organic matter intake (OMI) was 62.7, 63.4, 58.0 and 44.4 g per kg $BW^{0.75}$ for diets I, II, III and IV, respectively, which, were significantly (p<0.05) lower for diet IV. Digestible OMI was respectively 33.1, 32.6, 30.6 and, 20.2 g per kg $BW^{0.75}$ on the four diets which were significantly (p<0.05) different between the treatments. Inclusion of spent compost straw up to 20% of the diet did not affect the digestibility of DM, OM, CF, ADF and NDF, but the diet containing 30% compost straw had statistically (p<0.05) lower digestibilities. Nitrogen balance was also significantly (p<0.05) different between the treatments.

Utilization of Fungal Treated Wheat Straw in the Diet of Late Lactating Cow

        Fazaeli, H.,Mahmodzadeh, H.,Jelan, Z.A.,Rouzbehan, Y.,Liang, J.B.,Azizi, A. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2004 Animal Bioscience Vol.17 No.4

Eight primiparous Holstein cows, in late lactation (255$\pm$10 days in milk) and yielding 10.3$\pm$1.3 kg/d of 4% fat corrected milk (FCM) were allocated into two groups randomly. Two diets containing 30% wheat straw either untreated (UWS) or treated with Pleurotus ostreatus (FTWS) were offered as total mixed ration (TMR). In vivo digestibility of the diets was determined, using acid insoluble ash as a marker. Daily milk production was recorded and milk samples were collected and analysed. Diet FTWS resulted in significantly (p<0.05) higher dry matter intake (DMI) (12.2$\pm$0.86 vs. 10.6$\pm$1.3), DM digestibility (58.8 vs. 52.3) and milk yield (9 vs. 7.5 kg). Milk fat contents were 34.2 and 35.6 g/liter that did not differ between cows fed treated or untreated straw. However, the concentrations of lactose, solid non fat, total solids and milk protein for diets UWS and FTWS were 57.3 and 54.9, 98.9 and 93.2, 134.5 and 127.4, 35.7 and 32.3 g/l, respectively, which differed significantly (p<0.05). The average body weights gain (BWG) for UWS and FTWS were 272 and 743 g/d, respectively (p<0.05). The FCM yield per kg of DMI was similar (0.68 and 0.67 liter) for the two groups, but BWG/kgDMI was higher in the FTWS diet.

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Dual Phase Steels, with Different Martensite Morphology, Produced During TLP Bonding of a Low C-Mn Steel

        Abolfazl Fazaeli,Aliakbar Ekrami,Amir Hossein Kokabi 대한금속·재료학회 2016 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.22 No.5

In this research, production of ferrite - martensite dualphase Steels with different martensite morphology was considered during transient liquid phase bonding of a low carbon steel. The steel was bonded using an iron base interlayer with melting point of 1443 K and 40 μm thickness. Bonding process carried out at 1473 K, under pressure of 0.5MPa, at different holding time of 10, 20, 30 and 40 minutes. Microstructural studies of joint region showed that isothermal solidification completed at the bonding time of 40 minutes. Microstructure of joints made at the bonding time of 10, 20, and 30 minutes consists of two distinct region, athermal and isothermal solidified zones. Microstructure of these zones was studied and chemical composition of these zones was determined by EDS. Joints made with bonding time of 40 minutes were homogenized at 1008 K and then cooled into cold water to produce dual phase ferrite and martensite microstructure with different martensite morphology. According to shear test results, it was found that the shear strength of ferrite - fibrous martensite microstructure is greater than those with ferrite - continuous martensite and ferrite - blocky martensite microstructure.

        GENERALIZED QUASI-PRIMARY RINGS

Hosein Fazaeli Moghimi,MAHDI SAMIEI 장전수학회 2018 Advanced Studies in Contemporary Mathematics Vol.28 No.4

In this paper, the structure of commutative rings with identity all of whose ideals are quasi-primary, called generalized quasi-primary rings, is studied and several equivalent conditions to such rings are considered. Equivalently, a generalized quasi-primary ring may be viewed as a ring whose the set of radical ideals forms a chain. It is proved that an Artinian local ring R is a generalized quasi-primary ring and the converse is true if R is a non-domain Noetherian ring.

Evaluating the effect of conditioned medium from mesenchymal stem cells on differentiation of rat spermatogonial stem cells

        Hoda Fazaeli,Mohsen Sheykhhasan,Naser Kalhor,Faezeh Davoodi Asl,Mojdeh Hosseinpoor Kashani,Azar Sheikholeslami 대한해부학회 2023 Anatomy & Cell Biology Vol.56 No.4

In cancer patients, chemo/radio therapy may cause infertility by damaging the spermatogenesis affecting the selfrenewal and differentiation of spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs). In vitro differentiation of stem cells especially mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into germ cells has recently been proposed as a new strategy for infertility treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the proliferation and differentiation of SSCs using their co-culture with Sertoli cells and conditioned medium (CM) from adipose tissue-derived MSCs (AD-MSCs). Testicular tissues were separated from 2-7 days old neonate Wistar Rats and after mechanical and enzymatic digestion, the SSCs and Sertoli cells were isolated and cultured in Dulbecco’s modified eagle medium with 10% fetal bovine serum, 1X antibiotic, basic fibroblast growth factor, and glial cell linederived neurotrophic factor. The cells were treated with the CM from AD-MSCs for 12 days and then the expression level of differentiation-related genes were measured. Also, the expression level of two major spermatogenic markers of DAZL and DDX4 was calculated. Scp3, Dazl, and Prm1 were significantly increased after treatment compared to the control group, whereas no significant difference was observed in Stra8 expression. The immunocytochemistry images showed that DAZL and DDX4 were positive in experimental group comparing with control. Also, western blotting revealed that both DAZL and DDX4 had higher expression in the treated group than the control group, however, no significant difference was observed. In this study, we concluded that the CM obtained from AD-MSCs can be considered as a suitable biological material to induce the differentiation in SSCs.

On $n$-absorbing ideals and the $n$-Krull dimension of a commutative ring

Hosein Fazaeli Moghimi,Sadegh Rahimi Naghani 대한수학회 2016 대한수학회지 Vol.53 No.6

Let $R$ be a commutative ring with $1\neq 0$ and $n$ a positive integer. In this article, we introduce the $n$-Krull dimension of $R$, denoted $\dim_n R$, which is the supremum of the lengths of chains of $n$-absorbing ideals of $R$. We study the $n$-Krull dimension in several classes of commutative rings. For example, the $n$-Krull dimension of an Artinian ring is finite for every positive integer $n$. In particular, if $R$ is an Artinian ring with $k$ maximal ideals and $l(R)$ is the length of a composition series for $R$, then $\dim_n R = l(R) -k $ for some positive integer $n$. It is proved that a Noetherian domain $R$ is a Dedekind domain if and only if $\dim_nR=n$ for every positive integer $n$ if and only if $\dim_2R=2$. It is shown that Krull's (Generalized) Principal Ideal Theorem does not hold in general when prime ideals are replaced by $n$-absorbing ideals for some $n>1$.
