      • Parsing Indoor Manhattan Scenes Using Four-Point LiDAR on a Micro UAV

        Eunju Jeong,Suyoung Kang,Daekyeong Lee,Pyojin Kim 제어로봇시스템학회 2022 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2022 No.11

We propose the first 3D mapping algorithm using four-point LiDAR for a micro unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Existing mapping approaches depend on 360° 2D laser scanner and RGB-D camera, which are unsuitable for micro UAV with a small payload. The proposed method builds a 3D structure map with an accumulated point cloud obtained from low-cost and lightweight four ToF sensors suitable for micro UAV in four directions: front, back, left, and right. The noise of range measurement by the low-cost ToF sensor and inaccurate 6-DoF pose estimation of Crazyflie make a noisy point cloud. We overcome these problems by utilizing the geometric constraints of the interior structures, the Manhattan world (MW), and the proposed method successfully parse the floor plan of the Manhattan scenes. We evaluate the proposed method in various MW structures and demonstrate that the proposed method produces comparable results to the ROS Gmapping algorithm, which uses a 360° 2D laser scanner.

Confocal Laser Endomicroscopic Findings of Refractory Erosive Reflux Disease versus Non-Erosive Reflux Disease with Anti-Reflux Mucosectomy: An in vivo and ex vivo Study

        Eunju Jeong,In Kyung Yoo,Abdullah Özgür Yeniova,Dong Keon Yon,Joo Young Cho 대한소화기내시경학회 2021 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.54 No.1

Background/Aims: To date, there is no standard tool to diagnose gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Typically, GERD is anon-erosive reflux disease (NERD) that does not present endoscopic abnormalities. Confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE) has beenshown to be an effective tool to identify and diagnose GERD. We aimed to investigate the cellular and vascular changes in vivo andex vivo through CLE in patients with GERD. Methods: Patients with refractory GERD who underwent mucosectomy were recruited. The distal esophagus was observed invivo using CLE. Mucosectomy tissue was stained with acriflavine and CLE image was obtained ex vivo. We compared cellular andvascular changes in CLE between erosive reflux disease (ERD), NERD, and a control group. Results: Eleven patients who underwent anti-reflux mucosectomy and five control patients were enrolled in the study. Patientswith ERD and NERD presented greater dilated intercellular space than patients in the control group on CLE image. The diameter, number, and cross-sectional area of the intra-papillary capillary loops (IPCLs) were significantly larger in the ERD group than in theNERD group. The irregular shape of the IPCLs were observed in both patients with ERD and NERD. Conclusions: The irregular shape of the IPCLs were significantly correlated with a positive diagnosis of GERD. CLE may diagnoseNERD with high sensitivity and accuracy.

      • Sub-classification of Advanced Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma based on a Real-life Cohort

        ( Jeong-ju Yoo ),( Jeong-hoon Lee ),( Young Chang ),( Eunju Cho ),( Su Jong Yu ),( Yoon Jun Kim ),( Jung-hwan Yoon ),( Seoul Liver Group ) 대한간학회 2016 춘·추계 학술대회 (KASL) Vol.2016 No.1

Aims: Advanced Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) embraces various clinical conditions: major vessel invasion, extrahepatic metastasis, and poor performance status. The aim of this study was to establish a prognostic scoring system using independent factors and to propose sub-classification of Barcelona-Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage C. Methods: This retrospective study included consecutive patients who received sorafenib for BCLC stage C HCC at a single tertiary hospital in Korea. Factors affecting overall survival were analyzed. Cox proportional hazard model was used to develop a point score system, and internal validation was performed by 5-fold cross-validation. The performance of model to predict risk was assessed by area under the curve (AUC) and Hosmer-Lemeshow test. Results: Among 756 patients who received sorafenib for HCC between 2008 and 2014, 612 (81.0 %) were classified as BCLC stage C and included in this study. Mean age of the patients were 60.3±10.7 and 84.2% were male. The patients were further classified into strata depending on their performance status (ECOG 0 or 1). Five independent prognostic factors (Child-Pugh score, alpha fetoprotein, tumor type, extrahepatic metastasis, and portal vein invasion) were identified and used in the prognostic scoring system. The scoring system gave from one to ten points for the presence each factor, resulting in a total score ranging from 0 to 24 (Table 1). This scoring system showed good discrimination (area under time-dependent ROC curve [AUC]=0.734-0.818) and calibration functions. (Figure 1) Cases were analyzed in the three risk groups according to the total score. In internal validation, AUC was similarly maintained (0.734 at month 12). Conclusions: The result of heterogeneity of patients with BCLC stage C HCC requires sub-classification of advanced HCC. The prognostic scoring system using five independent factors is useful in predicting the survival of patients with BCLC stage C HCC.

Effectiveness of Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma for the Healing of Ulcers after Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

        Eunju Jeong,In kyung Yoo,Ozlem Ozer Cakir,Hee Kyung Kim,Won Hee Kim,Sung Pyo Hong,Joo Young Cho 대한소화기내시경학회 2019 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.52 No.5

Background/Aims: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been used for wound healing in various medical fields. The aim of this study was toevaluate the clinical effcacy and safety of local PRP injections after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). Methods: Patients were non-randomly divided into the following two groups: (1) control group in which patients were administeredonly an intravenous proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and (2) a study group in which patients were administered an intravenous PPI and atopical PRP injection. We assessed the reduction in the ulcer area and stage of the ulcer after the procedure (24 hours, 48 hours, and 28days after endoscopic surgery). Results: We enrolled 7 study and 7 control patients. In the study group, the rate of ulcer reduction was 59% compared to 52% inthe control group (p=0.372), 28 days after ESD. There were 5 patients in the S stage and 2 patients in the H stage in the study groupcompared to no patient in the S stage and 7 patients in the H stage in the control group (p=0.05), 28 days after ESD. There were noserious complications in either group. Conclusions: The local injection of PRP is a safe and effective procedure for ulcer healing after ESD.

      • Melodic Contour Identification Reflects the Cognitive Threshold of Aging

Jeong, Eunju,Ryu, Hokyoung Frontiers Media S.A. 2016 FRONTIERS IN AGING NEUROSCIENCE Vol.8 No.-

<P>Cognitive decline is a natural phenomenon of aging. Although there exists a consensus that sensitivity to acoustic features of music is associated with such decline, no solid evidence has yet shown that structural elements and contexts of music explain this loss of cognitive performance. This study examined the extent and the type of cognitive decline that is related to the contour identification task (CIT) using tones with different pitches (i.e., melodic contours). Both younger and older adult groups participated in the CIT given in three listening conditions (i.e., focused, selective, and alternating). Behavioral data (accuracy and response times) and hemodynamic reactions were measured using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Our findings showed cognitive declines in the older adult group but with a subtle difference from the younger adult group. The accuracy of the melodic CITs given in the target-like distraction task (CIT2) was significantly lower than that in the environmental noise (CIT1) condition in the older adult group, indicating that CIT2 may be a benchmark test for age-specific cognitive decline. The fNIRS findings also agreed with this interpretation, revealing significant increases in oxygenated hemoglobin (oxyHb) concentration in the younger (<I>p</I> < 0.05 for Δpre - on task; <I>p</I> < 0.01 for Δon – post task) rather than the older adult group (<I>n.s</I> for Δpre - on task; <I>n.s</I> for Δon – post task). We further concluded that the oxyHb difference was present in the brain regions near the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Taken together, these findings suggest that CIT2 (i.e., the melodic contour task in the target-like distraction) is an optimized task that could indicate the degree and type of age-related cognitive decline.</P>

공동 내부로의 평행분사방법을 이용한 초음속 연소의 실험적 연구

        정은주(Eunju Jeong),정인석(In-Seuck Jeung),Sean O"Byrne,A.F.P Houwing 한국연소학회 2007 한국연소학회지 Vol.12 No.2

The supersonic combustion experiments are carried out using T3 free-piston shock tunnel. Hydrogen Fuel is injected in the cavity parallel with air(or nitrogen) flow. The equivalence ratios in this study are 0.132 and 0.447. Experimental measurements use OH-PLIF near the cavity and pressures in the combustor. For parallel fuel injection case, direct fuel add into cavity leads to increase of cavity pressure. And Flame exists just near the bottom wall for low equivalent ratio. There is no flame in the cavity because of no mixing in it. Compared to the inclined fuel injection, ignition delay length is longer for low equivalence ratio in both case. OH distribution is not a single line but a repeatable fluctuation flame structure by turbulence. Pressure distributions have nothing to do with the fuel injection position.

공동 상류 경사 분사를 이용한 초음속 연소기의 실험적 연구, Part 2 : 압력 측정

        정은주(Eunju Jeong),정인석(In-Seuck Jeung),Sean O’Byrne,A.F.P Houwing 한국연소학회 2007 한국연소학회지 Vol.12 No.1

The supersonic combustion experiments are carried out using T3 free-piston shock tunnel. Different shock tube fill pressures have various inflow conditions. 15˚ inclined hydrogen fuel injection is located before the cavity. Oblique shock is generated at the trailing edge of the cavity and reflects off the top and bottom wall. For non-reacting flow, static pressures in low equivalence ratio are similar to those in no fuel injection. As equivalence ratio is increased, static pressures are increased in the duct. In the similar equivalence ratio, static pressures are increased when total enthalpy is decreased. For reacting flow, the flame is occurred near the cavity. The combustion is weak locally in the middle of the duct. The up and down pressure distribution in the duct means that the supersonic combustion is generated.

      • INFLUENCE OF CULTURAL ART POLICY UPON CONSUMER ANDCOMPANY IN GLOBAL FASHION CITY

        Dayun Jeong,Eunha Chun,Eunju Ko 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7

Urban regeneration has emerged as a new paradigm of urban development today. In this situation, awareness has increased that urban regeneration should be pursued in connection with culture and art (Evans, 2009). Urban transformation has continued through internal restructuring in an expanded or reduced scale by economic and social changes (Garcia, 2004). Initially, diverse public/private parties initiated urban image improvement and strong brand creation through leading developmental strategies in order to attract floating enterprises, residents and tourists. At this time, states built culture-centered urban regeneration strategies in relation to urban development and regeneration such as large-scale culture and art facility establishment or large event hosting (Couch, 1990). However, in the modern society, with the elevated awareness on environment, the focus has shifted from development towards service industry and tourist industry in urban. In this sense, cultural policies are deemed to be responsible for the expanded idea of urban development considering diverse aspects from physical and economic aspects, to social significance, sustainability and to culture and art (Bianchini & Parkinson, 1993; Garcia, 2004).
