Comparison of symmetric and asymmetric routing for fixed two-hop cellular relaying network
Eunhyun Kwon,Jaiyong Lee,Mi-Sun Do,Kyunghun Jung IEEE 2007 IEEE communications letters Vol.11 No.5

In this paper, routing strategies for fixed two-hop cellular relaying networks are discussed in terms of area spectral efficiency. We consider symmetric and asymmetric routing in uplink and downlink. Simulation results show that relaying increases the average throughput in comparison with conventional cellular networks and the area spectral efficiency of asymmetric routing is slightly better than that of the symmetric

Hydroxamate-based HDAC inhibitors have promising anticancer activities but metabolic instability and poor pharmacokinetics leading to poor in vivo results. QSAR and PK studies of HDAC inhibitors showed that a γ-lactam core and a modified cap group, including halo, alkyl, and alkoxy groups with various carbon chain linkers, improved HDAC inhibition and metabolic stability. The biological properties of the γ-lactam HDAC inhibitors were evaluated; the compound designated 8f had potent anticancer activity and high oral bioavailability.

Graphic Abstract

ACS Electronic Supporting Info

2017 Human Ecology Research(HER) Vol.55 No.1
This study investigates the effect of a leadership program to enhance leadership skills in children from low-income families. A total of 45 elementary school students participated in the 52-week leadership program. Five leadership scales, such as goal attainment, paradigm shifting skills, skills to lead others, human relationship skills, and sense of purpose, were measured through survey questionnaires before and after implementing the program. In addition, individual teacher interviews examined the influence of the program on students` leadership skills. This study found that participants showed significant improvement after implementing the program in the three domains of the leadership skills (goal attainment, paradigm shifting skills, and human relationship skills); however, the skills to lead others and sense of purpose did not significantly change. The leadership teachers also stated that the program influenced positively on students` leadership skills; in addition, students` behavioral changes were found by developing relationships with other children as well as contemplating and attempting to find a future dream and vision. The leadership program was effective to enhance leadership skills in children from low-income families. This study can provide the theoretical and practical foundations for the development and implementation of effective leadership programs that meet the needs of children from low-income families.
Performance evaluation using reduced neighbor lists in cellular based multi-hop relay network
Hun-je Yeon,Eunhyun Kwon,Sung-gook Lim,Jaiyong Lee,Mi-Sun Do,Rakesh Taori 2008 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2008 No.7
In this paper, we introduce neighbor list composition scheme that organizes small numbers of adjacent neighbors for cellular based multi-hop relay network so that the neighbor advertisement with small number of neighbors could increase average transmission rate of MR network. Wireless multi-hop environment based on cellular system, such as 802.16j, requires an algorithm that organizes neighbor lists dynamically due to the mobility and impermanancy of relay station. From the study, we’ve concluded that the location based neighbor lists composition could reduces the wastage of wireless resources, which improves the transmission rate of cellular based wireless multi-hop network.
Vol.30 No.7B
Flow Based Waiting Time Priority (FB-WTP) In this paper, we propose a Flow Based Waiting Time Priority (FB-WTP) scheduler that supports the proportional delay differentiated services between classes. Existing scheduling algorithms utilize the configuration of scheduler, which is operated as class unit, applied to wired network. However, FB-WTP scheduler is operated as flow unit and can take advantage of multi-flow diversity effect in time-varying channel state environment. As a result, FB-WTP improves the average queueing delay on each class as well as supporting the average queueing delay ratio between classes. It also solves the HOL packet blocking problem implicitly. Simulation results show that FB-WTP scheduler has better system queueing delay performance than Look-ahead Waiting Time Priority (LWTP) scheduler and supports the larger queueing delay ratio between classes that network operator set.
