Potyvirids, members of the family Potyviridae, produce the P3N-PIPO protein, which is crucial for the cell-to-cell transport of viral genomic RNAs. The production of P3N-PIPO requires an adenine (A) insertion caused by RNA polymerase slippage at a conserved GAA AAA A ( GA6) sequence preceding the PIPO open reading frame. Presently, the slippage rate of RNA polymerase has been estimated in only a few potyvirids, ranging from 0.8 to 2.1%. In this study, we analyzed publicly available plant RNA-seq data and identified 19 genome contigs from 13 distinct potyvirids. We further investigated the RNA polymerase slippage rates at the GA6 motif. Our analysis revealed that the frequency of the A insertion variant ranges from 0.53 to 4.07% in 11 potyviruses (genus Potyvirus). For the two macluraviruses (genus Macluravirus), the frequency of the A insertion variant was found to be 0.72% and 10.96% respectively. Notably, the estimated RNA polymerase slippage rates for 12 out of the 13 investigated potyvirids were reported for the first time in this study. Our findings underscore the value of plant RNA-seq data for quantitative analysis of potyvirid genome variants, specifically at the GA6 slippage site, and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the RNA polymerase slippage phenomenon in potyvirids.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A horizontal neutron reflectometer, Bio-REF, which is dedicated to the structural characterization of polymer and biological thin films and multilayers, has been commissioned at the 30 MW HANARO cold neutron reactor in Korea. The Bio-REF is a hybrid of horizontal and vertical scattering geometries, in which the sample is placed horizontally, and the specular reflectivity is mainly measured by the tilt of sample stage and a wide-range translating detector in θ ‒ 2θ mode. While the horizontal sample setup makes the instrument possible to conduct the measurements on a “free-liquid” system as well as mounting sophisticated sample environments, the θ ‒ 2θ operation allows to maintain the incident beam intensity and, together with the wide translational-length of the detector, the instrument is, therefore, capable of reaching a high <I>Q</I> ∼0.5 Å<SUP>−1</SUP>.</P>

There is a debate about the historical origin of Adam among Christians, and Christian worldviewers have similar voices or totally different understanding of creation and fall. This is because there is a spectrum of diverse interpretation and evaluation for the evidence of scientific accumulation of evolution. Therefore, in this article, we will look at the spectrum of the origin of human through examining the understanding of the origins of human by outstanding Christian worldviewers. First, Creation science theory is criticized as anti-scientific or similar science by denying radioactive dating, a scientific measurement method. Second, Old Adam Theory generally accepts radioactive dating, but basically does not accept that human has evolved from other apes. Third, Pre-Adamism claims that there were many people before Adam, and that Adam was only the first person with the image of God. Fourth, Theistic evolutionary theory holds that the method of creation of God in the beginning is the evolution, and that God led the process of evolution. It is important to understand that there are various understanding for the creation and fall in the Christian Worldview movement. Although they have different opinions, they can participate in the Christian Worldview movement in Jesus Christ.
개방형 아키텍처 컴퓨팅 환경의 기술 아키텍처 및 구성요소 분석에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 NCW 환경에서 요구되는 무기체계 성능을 만족시키기 위해 미 해군에서 추진 중인 개방형 아키텍처 컴퓨팅 환경(OACE)의 기술 아키텍처 및 구성요소에 대해 분석한다. 먼저 개방형 아키텍처와 개방형 아키텍처 컴퓨팅 환경에 대한 개념 및 특징을 살펴보고, OACE 기술 아키텍처를 분석한다. 그리고 OACE를 구성하는 핵심요소인 운영체제, 미들웨어, 정보관리, 정보보호, 프로그래밍 언어 등에 대한 연구를 수행한다. 향후 본 논문에서 수행한 연구는 무기체계 구축이 OACE 기반으로 변화될 경우 기술적 측면에서 많은 기여가 될 것으로 기대한다.
Flower 연합학습 프레임워크를 활용한 통신 상황에 따른 학습 성능 평가 연구

많은 주목을 받으며 빠르게 발전하고 있는 다양한 인공지능 학습 기술들은 수많은 데이터를 사용하여 학습을 수행하는데, 이를 위한 데이터들이 한곳에 모여 있는 경우보다 여러 장치들에 분산되어 저장되어있는 경우가 더욱 많다. 학습을 수행하기 위해 많은 데이터들을 한곳으로 모아야만 하는 한계를 극복하기 위해 연합학습이 제안되었으며, 연합학습이 작동하기 위해서는 서버와 참여 장치들간에 통신이 지속적으로 수행되어야 한다. 하지만 학습에 참여하는 모든 장치들의 통신 상황은 서로 다르며 지속적으로 변화하므로 이러한 통신 상황이 연합학습의 성능에 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Flower 연합학습 프레임워크를 활용하여 테스트환경을 구축하였으며, 통신상황에 따른 시간 지연이 연합학습 성능에 영향을 미치는 것을 보였다.
