This study aims to examine the influence of capital structure on the business efficiency of joint stock commercial banks listed on the Vietnamese stock market. The article uses data collected from the financial statements of 15 prominent joint-stock commercial banks out of 27 joint-stock commercial banks listed in Vietnam from 2011 to 2021. The research uses E-view software in quantitative analysis to build regression models to determine the relationship and the impact of capital structure factors on the business efficiency of listed joint stock commercial banks. Research results show that ROA is affected by 2 variables of capital structure. It is the sum of customer deposits to total assets and total liabilities to total equity. Total debt to total equity and total customer deposits to total assets both have a negative effect on ROA. For the regression results of ROA with all control variables, the control variables have a positive relationship with the dependent variable. The article has provided recommendations based on the research findings to determine the proper capital structure. Managers must solve the outstanding amount of mobilized capital in previous years, combined with the bad debt handling activities that have arisen.

The most challenging issues in the multi-channel MAC of the IEEE 1609.4 standard is how to handle the dynamic vehicular traffic condition with a high mobility, dynamic topology, and a trajectory change. Therefore, dynamic channel coordination schemes between CCH and SCH are required to provide the proper bandwidth for CCH/SCH intervals and to improve the quality of service (QoS). In this paper, we use a Markov model to optimize the interval based on the dynamic vehicular traffic condition with high mobility nodes in the multi-channel MAC of the IEEE 1609.4 standard. We evaluate the performance of the three-dimensional Markov chain based on the Poisson distribution for the node distribution and velocity. We also evaluate the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) effect for the multi-channel MAC coordination scheme of the IEEE 1609.4 standard. The result of simulation proves that the performance of the dynamic channel coordination scheme is affected by the high node mobility and the AWGN. In this research, we evaluate the model analytically for the average delay on CCHs and SCHs and also the saturated throughput on SCHs.

Graphitic g-$C_3N_4-WO_3$ composite was synthesized simply by decomposing melamine in the presence of $WO_3$ at $500^{\circ}C$. The obtained material was characterized by XRD, SEM, IR and XPS. The results showed that the as-prepared composite exhibits orthorhombic $WO_3$ phase coated by g-$C_3N_4$ and the g-$C_3N_4$ decomposed completely with N-doped $WO_3$ remaining at elevated calcination temperatures. The photocatalytic activity of the composite was evaluated by the photodegradation of methylene blue under visible light. An enhancement in photocatalytic activity for the graphitic g-$C_3N_4-WO_3$ composite compared to the conventional nitrogen-doped $WO_3$ was observed, which can be attributed to the presence of g-$C_3N_4$ in the material.

<P>Despite numerous studies on two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures, a full understanding of the charge transport and photoinduced current mechanisms in these structures, in particular, associated with charge depletion/inversion layers at the interface remains elusive. Here, we investigate transport properties of a prototype multilayer MoS2/WSe2 heterojunction via a tunable charge inversion/depletion layer. A charge inversion layer was constructed at the surface of WSe2 due to its relatively low doping concentration compared to that of MoS2, which can be tuned by the back-gate bias. The depletion region was limited within a few nanometers in the MoS2 side, while charges are fully depleted on the whole WSe2 side, which are determined by Raman spectroscopy and transport measurements. Charge transport through the heterojunction was influenced by the presence of the inversion layer and involves two regimes of tunneling and recombination. Furthermore, photocurrent measurements clearly revealed recombination and space-charge-limited behaviors, similar to those of the heterostructures built from organic semiconductors. This contributes to research of various other types of heterostructures and can be further applied for electronic and optoelectronic devices.</P>
A Wideband On-Chip Directional Coupler Using a Negative Capacitance Circuit

<P>We propose a wideband lumped element directional coupler using lossy negative capacitance (NCAP). NCAP provides a broadband resonance effect combined with passive inductors and capacitors in a circuit, enabling the coupler to exhibit wideband directivity performance. In addition, a 3-dB loss in the NCAP enhanced the bandwidth at the expense of the transmission gain, which decreased by only 0.3 dB. The proposed coupler was implemented in the IBM 7RF 180-nm CMOS technology. The size of the core chip is <TEX>$1180\,\,\mu \text {m} \times 570\,\,\mu \text{m}$</TEX>. The designed NCAP provides a capacitance of −13 pF using a supply voltage of 2.7 V and a current of 9.6 mA. The coupling was designed to be −10 dB at the center frequency of 1 GHz. The bandwidth was defined by the frequency range, which exhibited a directivity of more than 30 dB. The S-parameter measurements showed an absolute bandwidth ranging from 0.86 to 1.12 GHz, and a fractional bandwidth of 26%. In the bandwidth, the coupling had a 0.5-dB variation, the transmission loss was smaller than 2.14 dB, and the noise figures were 1.8–2.5 dB.</P>

Titanium oxide, forming on surface of the Ti-PTL during the operation, is contributed to high Ohmic resistance of the cell. Covering a thin layer of high corrosion-resistive metal on PTL surface is typical method to prevent this phenomena. Iridium and its compound are usually used in PEMWE due to the low electrical resistivity and high stability under harsh condition. In this study, combining spray-coating and calcination method, IrO2 was deposited on the commercial Ti-PTL surface to limit passivation. 3 samples with different catalyst loading (0.08 mg/cm2, 0.17 mg/cm2, 0.28 mg/cm2) were investigated to access the effect of catalyst loading on the water electrolysis cell performance. The polarization curve results showed that the high catalyst loading (0.28 mg/cm2) and low loading (0.08 mg/cm2) show lower performance than the loading of 0.17 mg/cm2 with about 40mV at 2 A/cm2, despite of the Ohmic resistance increase with the increasing of catalyst loading.
A hardware-oriented concurrent TZ search algorithm for High-Efficiency Video Coding

<P>High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the latest video coding standard, in which the compression performance is double that of its predecessor, the H.264/AVC standard, while the video quality remains unchanged. In HEVC, the test zone (TZ) search algorithm is widely used for integer motion estimation because it effectively searches the good-quality motion vector with a relatively small amount of computation. However, the complex computation structure of the TZ search algorithm makes it difficult to implement it in the hardware. This paper proposes a new integer motion estimation algorithm which is designed for hardware execution by modifying the conventional TZ search to allow parallel motion estimations of all prediction unit (PU) partitions. The algorithm consists of the three phases of zonal, raster, and refinement searches. At the beginning of each phase, the algorithm obtains the search points required by the original TZ search for all PU partitions in a coding unit (CU). Then, all redundant search points are removed prior to the estimation of the motion costs, and the best search points are then selected for all PUs. Compared to the conventional TZ search algorithm, experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly decreases the Bjontegaard Delta bitrate (BD-BR) by 0.84%, and it also reduces the computational complexity by 54.54%.</P>
