Preparation and photocatalytic activity of a novel BiOCl/g‑C3N4 thin film prepared via spin coating

        Wei‑Qin Cai,De‑Fang Zhang,Feng‑Jun Zhang,Won‑Chun Oh 한국세라믹학회 2020 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.57 No.3

Novel BiOCl/g-C3N4 thin film photocatalysts were synthesized via a simple two-step spin coating method. The prepared photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity of the thin films for the degradation of rhodamine B under visible light (λ ≥ 400 nm) was investigated. The results showed that the BiOCl/g-C3N4 thin film photocatalysts exhibited significantly improved visible light absorption compared to the pure BiOCl thin film. The BiOCl/g-C3N4 film showed a rhodamine B degradation efficiency of 81.0% under visible light, which is 23.8 times higher than that of the pure BiOCl thin film. This excellent photocatalytic activity of the BiOCl/g-C3N4 film can be attributed to its efficient electron–hole separation due to the presence of g-C3N4.

      • Clinical Significance of SH2B1 Adaptor Protein Expression in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

        Zhang, Hang,Duan, Chao-Jun,Chen, Wei,Wang, Shao-Qiang,Zhang, Sheng-Kang,Dong, Shuo,Cheng, Yuan-Da,Zhang, Chun-Fang Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.5

The SH2B1 adaptor protein is recruited to multiple ligand-activated receptor tyrosine kinases that play important role in the physiologic and pathologic features of many cancers. The purpose of this study was to assess SH2B1 expression and to explore its contribution to the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: SH2B1 expression in 114 primary NSCLC tissue specimens was analyzed by immunohistochemistry and correlated with clinicopathological parameters and patients' outcome. Additionally, 15 paired NSCLC background tissues, 5 NSCLC cell lines and a normal HBE cell line were evaluated for SH2B1 expression by RT-PCR and immunoblotting, immunofluorescence being applied for the cell lines. Results: SH2B1 was found to be overexpressed in NSCLC tissues and NSCLC cell lines. More importantly, high SH2B1 expression was significantly associated with tumor grade, tumor size, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and recurrence respectively. Survival analysis demonstrated that patients with high SH2B1 expression had both poorer disease-free survival and overall survival than other patients. Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that SH2B1 overexpression was an independent prognostic factor for patients with NSCLC. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that the SH2B1 protein may contribute to the malignant progression of NSCLC and could offer a novel prognostic indicator for patients with NSCLC.

The Effect of Tai Chi on Psychosocial Well-being: A Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials

        Wei Chun Wang,Bodil Rasmussen,Anthony Lin Zhang,Li-Wei Lin,Trisha Dunning,강승완,Byung-Joo Park,Sing Kai Lo 사단법인약침학회 2009 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.2 No.3

Objective: This systematic review aimed to critically appraise published clinical trials designed to assess the effect of Tai Chi on psychosocial well-being. Data Sources: Databases searched included MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, HEALT, PsycINFO, CISCOM, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials of the Cochrane Library, and dissertations and conference proceedings from inception to August 2008. Review Methods: Methodological quality was assessed using a modified Jadad scale. A total of 15 studies met the inclusion criteria (i.e. English publications of randomized controlled trials with Tai Chi as an intervention and psychological well-being as an outcome measure), of which eight were high quality trials. The psychosocial outcomes measured included anxiety (eight studies), depression (eight studies), mood (four studies), stress (two studies), general mental health three studies), anger, positive and negative effect, self-esteem, life satisfaction, social interaction and self-rated health (one study each). Results: Tai Chi intervention was found to have a significant effect in 13 studies, especially in the management of depression and anxiety. Although the results seemed to suggest Tai Chi is effective, they should be interpreted cautiously as the quality of the trials varied substantially. Furthermore, significant findings were shown in only six high quality studies. Moreover, significant between group differences after Tai Chi intervention was demonstrated in only one high quality study (the other three significant results were observed in non-high quality studies). Two high quality studies in fact found no significant Tai Chi effects. Conclusion: It is still premature to make any conclusive remarks on the effect of Tai Chi on psychosocial well-being. Adsorption Mechanism of Magnetic Induction Free- Abrasive Grain and Its Effect on Cutting Performance of Wire Saws

Wei Peng,Teng-wei Qiu,Chun-yan Yao,Chen Tang,Wei Zhang 한국정밀공학회 2015 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol. No.

This paper proposes a method of free-abrasive wire sawing in the magnetic field. Magnetic abrasive grains are absorbed on surface of the wire by magnetic force, and therefore more magnetic abrasive grains are carried into cutting area. This mechanism is helpful to improve the cutting performance of wire saws. Theoretical modeling of the movement trajectory of magnetic abrasive grains is done in the magnetic field, and it is also verified by observation experiments of movement trajectory of magnetic abrasive grains. Absorption angle, which is used as the indicator of adsorption capacity about magnetic abrasive grain on surface of the wire, is proposed in this paper. The effect of magnetic field intensity on absorption angle is analyzed through computer simulations and observation experiments. Practical experiments and cutting results show that the change of magnetic field intensity has a significant impact on cutting efficiency, surface roughness, and kerf width.

      • Clinical Manifestations and Imaging Characteristics of Gliomatosis Cerebri with Pathological Confirmation

Zhang, Chun-Pu,Li, Hua-Qing,Zhang, Wei-Tao,Liu, Ming-Hui,Pan, Wen-Jing Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.11

Objective: To explore the clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics of gliomatosis cerebri to raise the awareness and improve its diagnostic accuracy for patients. Materials and Methods: Clinical data, imaging characteristics and pathological examination of 12 patients with GC from Jan., 2008 to Jan., 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Patients with GC were clinically manifested with headache, vomiting, repeated seizures, fatigue and unstable walking, most of whom had more than 2 lesions involving in parietal lobe, followed by temporal lobe, frontal lobe, periventricular white matter and corpus callosum. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed diffuse distribution, T1-weighted images (T1WI) with equal and low signals and T2-weighted images (T2WI) with bilateral symmetrical high diffuse signals. There was no reinforcement by enhancement scanning and signals were different in diffusion-weighted images (DWI). The higher the tumor staging, the stronger the signals. Pathological examination showed neuroastrocytoma in which tumor tissues were manifested by infiltrative growth in blood vessels and around neurons. Conclusions: In clinical diagnosis of GC, much attention should be paid to the diffuse distribution of imaging characteristics, incomplete matching between clinical and imaging characteristics and confirmation by combining with histopathological examination.

      • MSP58 Knockdown Inhibits the Proliferation of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Vitro and in Vivo

        Xu, Chun-Sheng,Zheng, Jian-Yong,Zhang, Hai-Long,Zhao, Hua-Dong,Zhang, Jing,Wu, Guo-Qiang,Wu, Lin,Wang, Qing,Wang, Wei-Zhong,Zhang, Jian Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.7

Esophageal carcinoma (EC) is one of the most aggressive cancers with a poor prognosis. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying esophageal cancer progression is a high priority for improved EC diagnosis and prognosis. Recently, MSP58 was shown to behave as an oncogene in colorectal carcinomas and gliomas. However, little is known about its function in esophageal carcinomas. We therefore examined the effects of MSP58 knockdown on the growth of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells in vitro and in vivo in order to gain a better understanding of its potential as a tumor therapeutic target. We employed lentiviral-mediated small hairpin RNA (shRNA) to knock down the expression of MSP58 in the ESCC cell lines Eca-109 and EC9706 and demonstrated inhibition of ESCC cell proliferation and colony formation in vitro. Furthermore, flow cytometry and western blot analyses revealed that MSP58 depletion induced cell cycle arrest by regulating the expression of P21, CDK4 and cyclin D1. Notably, the downregulation of MSP58 significantly inhibited the growth of ESCC xenografts in nude mice. Our results suggest that MSP58 may play an important role in ESCC progression.

RELATION BETWEEN DEMYANOV DIFFERENCE ANDMINKOWSKI DIFFERENCE OF CONVEX COMPACTSUBSETS IN R2

        CHUN-LING SONG,ZUN-QUAN XIA,LI-WEI ZHANG,SHU-YANG LI 한국전산응용수학회 2007 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.23 No.1

A necessary and sufficient condition for Demyanov difference and Minkowski difference of compact convex subsets in R2 being equal is given in this paper. Several examples are computed by Matlab to test our result. The necessary and sufficient condition makes us to compute Clarke subdifferential by quasidifferential for a special of Lipschitz functions.

      • A Saliency Detection Method Based on Global Contrast

        Chun-yan Yu,Wei-shi Zhang,Chun-li Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.7

To highlight the saliency object clearly from the foreground, we propose a saliency detection method based on global contrast with cluster. Due to the fact that background pixels usually have similar patches, we use cluster analysis to merge the background regions. By using mean shift filter, the background pixels with similar color level are clustered and the saliency calculation can be decreased a lot. In the method, we use the contrast of color feature with all the other pixels to compute the saliency map. A weight coefficient is utilized to improve the detection accuracy in global contrast differences evaluation. The results of extensive experiments on public dataset show that our method perform well and can highlight the salient object clearly against the other five state-of-the-art methods. Besides, we demonstrate that the applications in image segmentation and fusion with our saliency map can get satisfactory results.
