        Damage of scarf-repaired composite laminates subjected to low-velocity impacts

        The damage characters of scarf repaired composite laminates subjected to low-velocity impact with various energy levels at different locations are studied experimentally. The results are compared with those of the original laminates which have no initial damage and don’t need repair. The impact load-time history of the specimens, the velocity-time curves of the impactor, the post impact compressive strength of the specimens and the C-scan photographs of the damaged regions are obtained. The delamination threshold load and damage character of the specimen section at impact point are also studied. The results have shown that the impact response of a repaired composite laminate is sensitive to the location of the impact. The impact load and the delamination threshold load have shown different characters for specimens with different impact locations. The debonding characters of the adhesive and compressive strength after impact of the specimens are also influenced by impact locations.

        Cytotoxic Constituents from Angelicae Sinensis Radix

        Cytotoxic bioassay-guided fractionation of methanol extract of Angelicae Sinensis Radix led to the isolation of a new dimeric Z-ligustilide, named neodiligustilide (1), together with three known compounds, Z-ligustilide (2), 11(S),16(R)-dihydroxy-octadeca-9Z,17-dien-12,14-diyn-1- yl acetate (3), and 3(R),8(S)-falcarindiol (4). Among them, 2 showed the strongest cytotoxicity against L1210 and K562 cell lines with IC50 values of 2.27 ± 0.10 and 4.78 ± 0.18 µM, respectively, while 1 showed moderate cytotoxicity with IC50 values of 5.45 ± 0.19 and 9.87 ± 0.14 µM. Two polyacetylenes, 3 and 4, showed cytotoxicity only against L1210 cell line with IC50 values of 2.60 ± 0.90 and 2.87 ± 0.49 µM, respectively.

      • A Service Pipelining Model for Web GIS Based on Distributed Environment

        Pipeline is one of the classic technologies to enhance efficiency. When the amount of data is becoming more and more big when processing, it becomes a big problem that how to improve the efficiency with existing resources. In the meantime, a large number of older hardware and software feel difficult to deal with new task in new environment with the accumulation of time. In order to ameliorate efficiency of web GIS with low cost, this paper propose a service pipelining model for Web GIS based on distributed environment. The system build a basic service library to reuse plenty of existing resource, and design a segment system to organize pipeline in level of service to improve efficiency. The model can be used in many platforms and occasions, not limited to the application we proposed in this paper. The model we proposed has been proved work well in our experiments and test.

      • A Service Pipeline Based On Service Composition Model

        With the development of computer science and software engineering, the technology of the service composition has already become the mainstream of the application integration in the Internet environment of distributed interactive technology. Even though, there still be some problems that in some certain occasion. Pipeline technology has been used widely in industry level and micro instruction level, while service pipeline has not draw as much attention as the former. In this paper, the authors combine service composition technology and pipeline technology, and propose a service pipeline based on service composition model. The model can not only reuse variety of hardware and software, but also improve the flexibility of service platform greatly. The model has been validated in the experimental system.

      • Cytotoxicity of Triterpenes Isolated from <i>Aceriphyllum rossii</i>

        <P>Bioassay-guided fractionation of a MeOH extract of the whole plant of <I>Aceriphyllum rossii</I> (Saxifragaceae) led to the isolation of two new triterpenes, 3α,23-isopropylidenedioxyolean-12-en-27-oic acid (1) and 23-hydroxy-3-oxoolean-12-en-27-oic acid (2), together with six known triterpenes, 3-oxoolean-12-en-27-oic acid (3), 3α-hydroxyolean-12-en-27-oic acid (4), β-peltoboykinolic acid (5), aceriphyllic acid A (6), oleanolic acid (7), and gypsogenic acid (8). The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic analyses. These compounds were evaluated for <I>in vitro</I> cytotoxicity against the K562 and HL-60 cell lines. Olean-12-en-27-oic acid derivatives (1—6) exhibited considerable cytotoxicity against K562 and HL-60 cell lines with IC<SUB>50</SUB> values ranging from 12.2 to 28.7 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL> and from 12.1 to 25.8 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>, respectively.</P>
