The scaffold protein IQGAP1 shows elevated levels in several cancer types, but its expression in hepatocellular carcinoma is unknown. We found that 58% of human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue samples had increased IQGAP1 expression compared to adjacent normal tissue. Overexpressing IQGAP1 raised the in vivo tumorigenicity of hepatocellular carcinoma cells, and forced overexpression of IQGAP1 in vitro stimulated cell proliferation. Cell growth was reduced by knockdown or mutation of IQGAP1, or by treatment of cells with a phosphotidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor. To determine the mechanism by which IQGAP1 overexpression affected hepatocellular carcinoma cells, we confirmed its interaction in these cells with mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), a serine/threonine kinase that integrates signals about nutrient and energy status with downstream effectors that influence cell division. In addition, we discovered a new interaction involving IQGAP1, mTOR and Akt, which is a downstream target of mTOR. Akt phosphorylation on Ser-473, which is catalyzed by mTOR and required for Akt activation, increased with increasing amounts of IQGAP1, and decreased with IQGAP1 mutation. We hypothesize that IQGAP1 is a scaffold that facilitates mTOR and Akt interaction.
Study on Traveling-wave Differential Protection for Series Compensated Line
Chen, Fu-Feng,Qian, Guo-Ming,Wang, Fan The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2011 The Journal of International Council on Electrical Vol.1 No.3
The problem appears when traveling-wave differential protection was used to series compensated transmission line. Although the impedance uniformity of transmission line is broken by the f ixed compensated capacitor (FSC), the line between the relay location and FSC is uniform transmission line. The traveling-wave equation is applicable in the transmission line between relay location and FSC. Based on the previous analysis, an advanced traveling-wave differential protection was proposed for series compensated transmission line and also the method to calculate the differential current of fault phase and healthy phase are extended. When external fault or internal fault on FSC mounting point occurs, in principle, this method can completely eliminate the influence of capacitor current, which satisfies the requirement of sensitivity and security. Elector-Magnetic Transient Program (EMTP) simulations demonstrated it.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive management strategy that has been widely applied for benign and recurrent malignant thyroid lesions as an alternative to surgery in Taiwan. Members of academic societies for specialists in interventional radiology, endocrinology, and endocrine surgery collaborated to develop the first consensus regarding thyroid RFA in Taiwan. The modified Delphi method was used to reach a consensus. Based on a comprehensive review of recent and valuable literature and expert opinions, the recommendations included indications, pre-procedural evaluations, procedural techniques, post-procedural monitoring, efficacy, and safety, providing a comprehensive review of the application of RFA. The consensus effectively consolidates advice regarding thyroid RFA in clinical practice for local experts.

An efficient synthesis of 3-halofurans by the intramolecular cyclization of 2-(1-alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones with cupric halide has been developed. A broad range of 3-chloro- and 3-bromofuran derivatives could be obtained in the present method in moderate to good yields. The 3-halofuran derivatives are potential synthetic intermediates for amplification of molecular complexity.
High-Reliability Three-Phase Dual-Buck Grid-Connected Inverter without Shoot-Through Problem
Fu, Zhenbin,Feng, Zhihua,Chen, Xi,Zheng, Xinxin The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2019 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.19 No.2
When compared to traditional bridge-type inverters, the dual-buck inverter has a higher reliability due to the fact that its bridge legs do not have a shoot-through problem. In this paper, the working principle of the dual-buck inverter is analyzed. A comparison of the working modes under full-cycle and half-cycle control is discussed. With half-cycle control, the inverter can realize a higher efficiency. However, this results in current zero-crossing distortion. The corresponding control strategy of the dual-buck inverter is proposed in order to realize both high efficiency and low current harmonic distortion. In addition, the system stability is analyzed. Dead-time is unnecessary due to the advantages of the topology. Thus, the current harmonic distortion can be further reduced. An inverter with the proposed control strategy has the advantages of high reliability, high efficiency and low current harmonic distortion. Finally, simulation and experimental results are given to verify the theoretical analysis.

Although a number of studies have been conducted on the association between GSTM1 polymorphisms and lung cancer in China, this association remains elusive and controversial. To clarify the effects of GSTM1 polymorphisms on the risk of lung cancer, a meta-analysis was performed in the Chinese population. Related studies were identified from PubMed, Springer Link, Ovid, Chinese Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Chinese Biology Medicine (CBM) up to 5th April 2014. A total of 45 articles (47 studies) including 6,623 cases and 7,865 controls were involved in this meta-analysis. Overall, a significant association (OR = 1.45, 95%CI: 1.32-1.60) was found between the null GSTM1 and lung cancer risk when all studies in Chinese population pooled into the meta-analysis. In subgroup analyses stratified by quality score, geographic area and source of controls, the same results were observed under all the models. This meta-analysis showed that the null GSTM1 may be a potential biomarker for lung cancer risk in Chinese, but further studies with gene-gene and gene-environment interactions are required for definite conclusions.
Frequency Synchronization of Three-Phase Grid-Connected Inverters Controlled as Current Supplies
Fu, Zhenbin,Feng, Zhihua,Chen, Xi,Zheng, Xinxin,Yin, Jing The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2018 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.18 No.5
In a three-phase system, three-phase AC signals can be translated into two-phase DC signals through a coordinate transformation. Thus, the PI regulator can realize a zero steady-state error for the DC signals. In the control of a three-phase grid-connected inverter, the phase angle of grid is normally detected by a phase-locked loop (PLL) and takes part in a coordinate transformation. A novel control strategy for a three-phase grid-connected inverter with a frequency-locked loop (FLL) based on coordinate transformation is proposed in this paper. The inverter is controlled as a current supply. The grid angle, which takes part in the coordinate transformation, is replaced by a periodic linear changing angle from $-{\pi}$ to ${\pi}$. The changing angle has the same frequency but a different phase than the grid angle. The frequency of the changing angle tracks the grid frequency by the negative feedback of the reactive power, which forms a FLL. The control strategy applies to non-ideal grids and it is a lot simpler than the control strategies with a PLL that are applied to non-ideal grids. The structure of the FLL is established. The principle and advantages of the proposed control strategy are discussed. The theoretical analysis is confirmed by experimental results.

Objectives: To evaluate medical students' knowledge of HPV and HPV related diseases and assess their attitudes towards HPV vaccination. Methods: A total of 605 medical undergraduates from Chongqing Medical University in China were surveyed using a structured and pretested questionnaire on HPV related knowledge. Results: Some 68.9% of the medical students were females, and mean age was 21.6 (${\pm}1.00$) years. Only 10.6% correctly answered more than 11 out of 14 questions on HPV related knowledge, 71.8% being willing to receive/advise on HPV vaccination. Female students (OR: 2.69; 95% CI: 1.53-4.72) and students desiring more HPV education (OR: 4.24; 95% CI: 1.67-10.8) were more willing to accept HPV vaccination. HPV vaccination acceptability was observed to show a positive association with HPV related knowledge. Conclusions: Our survey found low levels of HPV related knowledge and HPV vaccination acceptability among participating medical students. HPV education should be systematically incorporated into medical education to increase awareness of HPV vaccination.
ELECTRIC-HYDRAULIC COMPOUND CONTROL ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
Feng Yang,Xin Chen,Dong Guo,Mingmao Hu,Ziwen Liao,Zhongcheng Fu,Qingshan Gong 한국자동차공학회 2022 International journal of automotive technology Vol.23 No.6
An anti-lock control strategy for electric-hydraulic compound braking is proposed to improve the emergency braking safety of a hub motor electric vehicle. Based on the half-vehicle braking longitudinal dynamics model, the optimal control is solved to obtain the total braking torque corresponding to each wheel. A fuzzy algorithm is used to determine the proportion coefficient of the motor based on the battery state of charge coefficient (SOC) and the motor speed constraints on the motor braking, and the total braking torque is distributed. The hydraulic and motor braking torques obtained from the allocation are input as reference values to the electric-hydraulic compound braking system, and the output braking torque is fed back into the CarSim vehicle model. The proposed electric-hydraulic compound ABS control strategy is also validated in the co-simulation of CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink on high, medium and low adhesion road surfaces.
