저자들은 하지 자색반과 고환 통증으로 내원한 알코올성 간경화증 환자에서 LCV의 원인 감별하는 과정에서 HCC와 하대정맥 막성폐쇄를 진단하고 이에 대한 치료 후 LCV의 호전된 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Vasculitis is a heterogeneous group of diseases that destroy blood vessel walls by inflammation. Approximately half of vasculitis cases are idiopathic, but sometimes associated with genetic factors, medicines, chronic infection, autoimmune diseases, and malignancies. Although the mechanism remains unclear, vasculitis secondary to malignancy, also known as paraneoplastic vasculitis, has been reported. It is generally associated with hematologic malignancies rather than solid malignancies and commonly presents as leukocytoclastic vasculitis or polyarteritis nodosa. We experienced a case of leukocytoclastic vasculitis in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma and membranous obstruction of the inferior vena cava. Er:YAG laser를 조사한 치근면의 변화에 관한 연구

This study was performed to evaluate the usability of Er:YAG laser for periodontal therapy. Forty dental root slabs (5x5x2mm^3) were prepared from human periodontally discased extracted teeth and grouped into 4 groups. 1)control (root planing only). 2)root planing and irradiated with laser at 30mJ. 3)root planing and irradiated with laser at 60mJ. and 4)root planing and irradiated with laser at 100mJ. The root slabs were embedded in resin block before laser treatment. Er:YAG laser was irradiated under water irrigation with the tip held perpendicular to the root surface in contact mode, After Er:YAG laser Irradiation or planing on the root surface, morphological changes have been observed under SEM, and the micro-hardness and Ca/P ratio were compared. 1. In the control group. the root surface showed the directional change caused by root planing instrumentation, and the presence of smear layer, and no exposure of dentinal tubule was observed. Laser irradiated group showed surface changes with rough dentin surface of niche and depression and dentinal tubule exposure by the elimination of smear layer. 2. The micro-hardness of root surface in the laser irradiated group was higher than the control group. The higher energy output was applied. the higher micro-hardness on root surface was resulted. 3. The higher energy output was applied, the higher Ca/P ratio was observed. The higher Ca/P ratio in 60mJ group and 100mJ group was statistically significantly compared to the control gloup and the 30mJ group These results suggest that Er:YAG laser Irradiation on the periodontally diseased root surface could remove smear layer and increase the micro-hardness on root surface and Ca/P ratio which contribute to enhance the acid resistance of periodontally treated root surface.

Objective : The objectives was to compare the measurement on skull lateral projection, skull posteroanterior projection, and lateral cephalogram in normal control group and Sleep-disordered breathing(SDB) group. Material and methods : A prospective study of 20 adult group with SDB and 24 normal control group was done. The skull lateral projection, skull posteroanterior projection, and lateral cephalometric indexes were measured to assess skeletal structures, dental structures, and velopharyngeal anatomic features. Results : The compromised radiographic parameters that may be found in patients with SDB include dental convexity, SPAS, minimum PAS, PNS-P, and minimum transverse diameter of posterior airway space. Conclusion : SDB is associated with structural changes in a number of radiologic mesurements. The analysis of the skull lateral projection and skull posteroanterior projection may provide some informations regarding the prediction of the SDB.

<P>Ultra-energy-efficient analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) based on single-electron transistor (SET)/complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) hybrid technology are proposed as a solution to sense and process biomedical signals. Our results show the energy efficiency of 0.82 pJ/state, which is lower than that in previously reported energy-efficient ADCs. The performance and dissipated power of proposed ADCs are estimated and compared with those of CMOS ADCs by using Lee's SPICE model including non-ideal effects of the experimental data. While the proposed ADC shows an operating power lower by two orders of magnitude than that of the CMOS flash-type ADC, the number of required transistors is about 10% of that in the CMOS flash-type ADC. The peak-to-valley current ratio in Coulomb oscillation of SETs used in the circuit implementation has the range of 1.15–1.5, which is consistent with the experimental result of top-down approached Si-based SETs at <I>T</I> = 77–100 K. From the perspective of the immunity to the gate capacitance <I>C<SUB>cg</SUB></I> mismatch and the background charge <I>Q</I><SUB>0</SUB> noise, it is shown that the criteria of SET/CMOS hybrid ADCs are Δ<I>C<SUB>cg</SUB></I> ⩽ 0.02 × <I>C<SUB>cg</SUB></I> (with <I>C<SUB>cg</SUB></I> = 0.24 aF) and Δ<I>Q</I><SUB>0</SUB> ⩽ 0.23<I>q</I>, respectively.</P>

AKD(alkyl ketene dimer) used widely as a neutral sizing agent is produced industrially by halogenization of stearic acid followed by dimerization of alkyl ketene. In the present work, to suppress the byproduct of hydrochloric acid and to improve reaction pathway. AKD was prepared through of ketene intermediate by dehydration of stearic acid in gas phase using reaction with silanol on silica as active sites of the catalyst SBA-15 showed the highest activity due to the large and open tubular pores. It was found that main products were dimer and trimer. Our goal of the present work was to increase of the selectivity for the dimer.

A high voltage NMOSFET is proposed to drive top emission organic light emitting device (OLED) used in the organic electroluminescent (EL) display on the single crystal silicon substrate. The high voltage NMOSFET can be fabricated by utilizing a simple layout technique with a standard CMOS logic process. It is clearly shown that the maximum supply voltage ($V_{DD}$) required for the pixel-driving transistor could reach 45 V through analytic and experimental methods. The high voltage NMOSFET was fabricated by using a standard 1.5 ${\mu}m$, 5 V CMOS logic process. From the measurements, we confirmed that the high voltage NMOSFET could sustain the excellent saturation characteristic up to 50 V without breakdown phenomena.
DEGREE ELEVATION OF B-SPLINE CURVES AND ITS MATRIX REPRESENTATION

An algorithmic approach to degree elevation of B-spline curves is presented. The new algorithms are based on the blossoming process and its matrix representation. The elevation method is introduced that consists of the following steps: (a) decompose the B-spline curve into piecewise Be′zier curves, (b) degree elevate each Be′zier piece, and (c) compose the piecewise Be′zier curves into B-spline curve.

An algorithmic approach to degree reduction of B-spline curves is presented. The new algorithms are based on the blossoming spline curves are obtained by the generalized least square method.
