In micro hole punching process the burr occurs inevitably, but the burr must be minimized in order to improve the quality and accuracy of the product. In this study, magnetic field assisted polishing technique is applied to remove the burr which exists in nozzles for ink jet printer head and proved to be a feasible for deburring by experiment. The deburring characteristics of sheet metals was investigated changing with polishing time. After the deburring, the burr size has remarkably reduced and roundness of the hole also has improved.

H-pile can be more easily driven than pipe pile by pile driver and shows high skin friction and plugging effect. And lately It is well known that the high strength H-pile has been widely used for pile foundations. To compare the skin frictions of H piles under different density soil conditions, this paper presents results of a series of model tests on vertically loaded group piles. Model piles made of steel embedded in weathered granite soil were used in this study. Pile arrangements(2 x2, 3 x 3), pile space(2 D, 4 D, 6 D), and soil density(D_r, = 40%, 80%) were tested. The main results obtained from the model test can be summarized as follows. The series of tests found that compression load for group piles increases as number of piles increase and piles space ratic decrease to D_r = 40% of soil density. The analysis also found that the theoretical value of skin friction for group piles is greater than practical value as piles space ratio increases to D_r = 40% of soil density. Piles showed the greatest difference of the skin friction in case that the pile space ratio(S/D) is 6. The theoretical value by Meyerhof and DM-7 showed 1.83 times and 1.32 times respectively as great as practical value in case of S/D = 6 and 2x2

폐슬러지 감량화 및 재활용을 위한 오존 처리시 하수슬러지내의 미생물 군집구조의 변화

The change of the microbial community structure in excess sludge of different sewage treatment plants by ozone treatment was investigated by quinone profiles. The resulting ozone dosage ranged from 0.1 to 0.4 gO₃/gTS. In terms of overall sludge reduction, more than 50% reduction of the total sludge mass could be achieved by ozone treatment at 0.4 gO₃/gTS. Quinone concentration and type in sludge of different treatment plants were remarkably decreases with increasing ozone dose. Ubiquinones(UQs)-8, -10 and MK-8 were still remained in the ozonized sludge at 0.4 gO₃/gTS. The results of this study showed that the remaining microorganisms belong to UQs-8, -10 and MK-8 were difficult to destruct cell membrane or wall by ozonation. Fecal Streptococci and Salmonella were not detected at ozone dose of 0.2 gO₃/gTS, but Fecal Colifom was not detected at ozone dose of 0.4 gO₃/gTS.
칼로리 제한과 유산소성 운동이 비만아동들의 혈청지질과 APO 지단백 대사에 미치는 영향

This study examined the effect of supervised aerobic exercise program on serum lipid components and apolipoprotein metabolism of obese children. The subjects were 8 obese 10-to 11-years-old boys, and engaged in aerobic exercise(9 weeks, 5days/week, 90min/day, 60~70% HRmax). Aerobic exercise prescription was mountain climbing(40min) at dawn and basketball and football dribble(50min) in the afternoon. Analytical items were body composition(body weight, %fat and BMI), serum lipid components(TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, PL and FFA) and apolipoprotein components(apo AI, apo AⅡ, apo B, apo CⅡ and apo CⅢ). The conclusions obtained from this study were as follows; 1. In serum lipid profile after 9-week aerobic exercise was decreased significantly in TC, TG and LDL-C(P<0.01; P<0.05), and increased significantly in HDL-C(P<0.05), and decreased in PL and FFA but with no statistical signification. 2. In apolipoprotein after 9-week aerobic exercise was decreased significantly in Apo A I, Apo AⅡ and Apo B(P<0.01; P<0.05), and slightly decreased in Apo CⅡ and Apo CHI but with no statistical signification.

This study suggests the new ultraprecision finishing techniques for micro die and mold parts using magnetic field-assisted polishing. Conventional magnetic abrasives have several disadvantages, which are missing of abrasive particle and inequal mixture between magnetic particle and abrasive particle. Therefore, bonded magnetic abrasive particles are fabricated by several method. For example, plasma melting and direct bonding. Carbonyl iron powder is used as magnetic particle where silicon carbide and alumina are abrasive particles. Developed magnetic abrasives are analyzed using SEM. Feasibility of magnetic abrasive and polishing performance of this magnetic abrasive particles also have been investigated. After polishing surface roughness of workpiece is reduced from 85.4 nm Ra to 9 nm Ra.
소재 관련업체 및 기관과 신소재연구소의 상호 정보교환 시스템 구축

현재 국내 부품소재 산업은 제조업 총 생산액의 약 30%를 차지하는 주요산업이며, 향후 그 규모가 확대될 전망이다. 그러나, 산학간의 관계에 있어서는 상대방에 대한 정보가 제한되어 있기 때문에 중소기업의 애로기술을 해결하기 위한 산학협동이 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 경남대학교 신소재연구소에서는 산학간의 정보교환을 원활하게 하고 중소기업의 애로기술을 해결하고자 부품소재관련 전문 홈페이지를 구축하였다. 본 연구에서는 중소기업 및 경남대학교의 구성원이 신소재연구소의 홈페이지를 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 홈페이지의 내용을 설명하고자 한다. Currently, parts and materials industry is the major part of the domestic manufacturing industry occupying 30% of the market and the share is expected to increasingly grow. However, as far as the relationship between the industry and the university is concerned, it is very difficult to develop an industry-university cooperation to solve a technological difficulties of the medium and small sized enterprises because of the limited amount of informations between them. Therefore, a homepage for parts and materials has been constructed in the Institute for Advanced Materials in Kyungnam University to facilitate free exchange of informations between industry and university and to solve technological difficulties of the industry. In this study, the contents of the homepage are introduced in detail for the users in the medium and small sized enterprises and Kyungnam University.

Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O₂ 촉매를 이용한 Dimethyl Carbonate 합성에서 탈수제 첨가의 영향

The effect of dehydrating agent in DMC(dimethyl carbonate) synthesis from methanol and carbon dioxide over Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O₂ catalyst was studied in this work. Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O₂ catalyst having the best activity among Ce_(1-x)Zr_(x)O₂ catalysts was selected. We could supposed that the addition of dehydrating agents improved the DMC yield by H₂O elimination. When the dehydrating agents such as Na_(2)SO₄ or K₂SO₄ was added into the synthesis of DMC, the formation amount of DMC increased to about 0.8∼0.9 mmol through the elimination of formed H₂O as by-product.
