MEROMORPHIC FUNCTION PARTIALLY SHARES SMALL FUNCTIONS OR VALUES WITH ITS LINEAR c-SHIFT OPERATOR
Banerjee, Abhijit,Maity, Sayantan Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회보 Vol.58 No.5
In this paper, we have studied on the uniqueness problems of meromorphic functions with its linear c-shift operator in the light of partial sharing. Our two results improve and generalize two very recent results of Noulorvang-Pham [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 57 (2020), no. 5, 1083-1094] in some sense. In addition, our other results have improved and generalized a series of results due to Lü-Lü [Comput. Methods Funct. Theo. 17 (2017), no. 3, 395-403], Zhen [J. Contemp. Math. Anal. 54 (2019), no. 5, 296-301] and Banerjee-Bhattacharyya [Adv. Differ. Equ. 509 (2019), 1-23]. We have exhibited a number of examples to show that some conditions used in our results are essential.
ON UNIQUENESS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS WHEN TWO DIFFERENTIAL MONOMIALS SHARE ONE VALUE
Banerjee, Abhijit Korean Mathematical Society 2007 대한수학회보 Vol.44 No.4
We prove four theorems on the uniqueness of non linear differential polynomials sharing one value which improve a result of Yang and Hua, and supplements some results of Lahiri, Xu and Qiu and Banerjee.

In the paper, we have exhaustively studied about the uniqueness of meromorphic function sharing two small functions with its $k$-th derivative as these types of results have never been studied earlier. We have obtained a series of results which will improve and extend some recent results of Banerjee-Maity \cite{Ban-Maity_Contemp.}.

In this paper weak and strong convergence theorems of modified Noor iterations to fixed points for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the intermediate sense in Banach spaces are established. In one theorem where we establish strong convergence we assume an additional property of the operator whereas in another theorem where we establish weak convergence assume an additional property of the space.

Information about the toxic effects of nicotine on the biochemical components of the central nervous system is limited. A single sublethal dose of nicotine (54 $\mu\textrm{g}$/g body weight) was found to interfere with the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, acid phosphatase and nucleotidase. Acetylcho line is the familiar neurotransmitter in insects. But adenosine which acts as a putative neuro-transmitter during emergency period when acetylcholinesterase activity gets inhibited and transmission of nerve impulse becomes blocked is yet to be properly understood. The toxic stress produced due to nicotine treatment reduced the acetylcholinesterase activity and boosted up the activity of 5'-nucleotidase. The physiological significance of these findings have been discussed elaborately in this communication.
Language Modeling Approaches to Information Retrieval
Banerjee, Protima,Han, Hyo-Il Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Eng 2009 Journal of Computing Science and Engineering Vol.3 No.3
This article surveys recent research in the area of language modeling (sometimes called statistical language modeling) approaches to information retrieval. Language modeling is a formal probabilistic retrieval framework with roots in speech recognition and natural language processing. The underlying assumption of language modeling is that human language generation is a random process; the goal is to model that process via a generative statistical model. In this article, we discuss current research in the application of language modeling to information retrieval, the role of semantics in the language modeling framework, cluster-based language models, use of language modeling for XML retrieval and future trends.
Rho-dependent Transcription Termination: More Questions than Answers
Banerjee Sharmistha,Chalissery Jisha,Bandey Irfan,Sen Ranjan The Microbiological Society of Korea 2006 The journal of microbiology Vol.44 No.1
Escherichia coli protein Rho is required for the factor-dependent transcription termination by an RNA polymerase and is essential for the viability of the cell. It is a homohexameric protein that recognizes and binds preferably to C-rich sites in the transcribed RNA. Once bound to RNA, it utilizes RNA-dependent ATPase activity and subsequently ATPase-dependent helicase activity to unwind RNA-DNA hybrids and release RNA from a transcribing elongation complex. Studies over the past few decades have highlighted Rho as a molecule and have revealed much of its mechanistic properties. The recently solved crystal structure could explain many of its physiological functions in terms of its structure. Despite all these efforts, many of the fundamental questions pertaining to Rho recognition sites, differential ATPase activity in response to different RNAs, translocation of Rho along the nascent transcript, interactions with elongation complex and finally unwinding and release of RNA remain obscure. In the present review we have attempted to summarize 'the knowns' and 'the unknowns' of the Rho protein revealed by the recent developments in this field. An attempt has also been made to understand the physiology of Rho in the light of its phylogeny.

Essential for smartphones, computers, batteries of hybrid and electric cars, medical scanners and weaponry, rare earth elements (REEs) play a pivotal role in every sphere of life globally. The race is on to develop alternative ways to utilize secondary sources, open new mines, reduce waste and recycle more. From being entirely dependent on China’s REE resources, the researchers and entrepreneurs globally are working towards development of alternative strategies to explore their indigenous resources to be self-sufficient. However, the existing strategies to extract these valuables rely on usage of mineral acids/alkalis. Continued effort on development of sustainable leaching methodologies led to the exploration of organic acids as a potential alternative. Lowmolecular- weight carboxylic acids and organosulphonic acids have emerged as highly potent class of lixiviants for REE extraction. The knowledge of their variation in chemical structure and their complex potency towards lanthanides is essential towards development of an industrially viable process. In this review, the efficiency of the different organic acids in leaching REEs from various primary and secondary sources, along with their respective structural relevance has been summarized. This is expected to ameliorate the existing momentum of advancing nature-friendly industrial processes.

In the present work we construct a composite implicit random iterative process with errors for a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive random operators and discuss a necessary and sufficient condition for the convergence of this process in an arbitrary real Banach space. It is also proved that this process converges to the common random fixed point of the finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive random operators in the setting of uniformly convex Banach spaces. The present work also generalizes a recently established result in Banach spaces.
