Lipomatosis: a diverse form of hemifacial hyperplasia
Arora, Preeti Chawla,Umarji, Hemant R.,Arora, Aman,Ramaswami, Easwaran Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology 2012 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.42 No.3
A case of hemifacial hyperplasia that presented with muscular, skeletal, and dental hyperplasia along with lipomatous infiltration was described. Advanced imaging was useful in identifying the lipomatous infiltration present in the lesion, which raises the possibility of lipomatosis having a diverse presentation in hemifacial hyperplasia. As there was a scarcity of related literature in the field of dentomaxillofacial radiology, this report would make us familiar with its computed tomographic and magnetic resonance image findings.

The Research paper deals with the several facet of image processing like color detection and some applications of it. It will enable you to make gestures with the help of RGBY colors. The colors are detected on the basis of a property named centroid. On the basis of the coordinates of the centroid, apply distance algorithm and get the distance. By varying the distance between the fingers, different gestures can be made which can perform various operations of today’s digital world and also be applied to the industries.
Multicriteria Quadratic Plant Location Problem
Sudha Arora,S.R. Arora 한국경영과학회 2008 Management Science and Financial Engineering Vol.14 No.1
In this paper, we have considered the multicriteria quadratic plant location problem. In addition to the allocation costs, the maintenance costs of the plants are also considered. The objective functions considered in this paper are quadratic in nature. The given problem is reduced to the problem with linear objective function. The method of Fernandez and Puerto (2003) is applied to solve the reduced problem. It is illustrated with help of examples. The effect of the change in the allocation and maintenance costs on allocation of plants to the clients has also been discussed.

FE model updating method incorporating damping matrices for structural dynamic modifications
Arora, Vikas Techno-Press 2014 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.52 No.2
An accurate finite element (FE) model of a structure is essential for predicting reliably its dynamic characteristics. Such a model is used to predict the effects of structural modifications for dynamic design of the structure. These modifications may be imposed by design alterations for operating reasons. Most of the model updating techniques neglect damping and so these updated models can't be used for accurate prediction of vibration amplitudes. This paper deals with the basic formulation of damped finite element model updating method and its use for structural dynamic modifications. In this damped damped finite element model updating method, damping matrices are updated along with mass and stiffness matrices. The damping matrices are updated by updating the damping coefficients. A case involving actual measured data for the case of F-shaped test structure, which resembles the skeleton of a drilling machine is used to evaluate the effectiveness of damped FE model updating method for accurate prediction of the vibration levels and thus its use for structural dynamic modifications. It can be concluded from the study that damped updated FE model updating can be used for structural dynamic modifications with confidence.
Role of Dehalogenases in Aerobic Bacterial Degradation of Chlorinated Aromatic Compounds
Arora, Pankaj Kumar,Bae, Hanhong Hindawi Limited 2014 Journal of chemistry Vol.2014 No.-

This review was conducted to provide an overview of dehalogenases involved in aerobic biodegradation of chlorinated aromatic compounds. Additionally, biochemical and molecular characterization of hydrolytic, reductive, and oxygenolytic dehalogenases was reviewed. This review will increase our understanding of the process of dehalogenation of chlorinated aromatic compounds.

Innovation in Indian Industries: Insights from the First National Innovation Survey
Arora, Parveen,Nath, Pradosh Asian Society for Innovation and Policy 2015 Asian Journal of Innovation and Policy Vol.4 No.3
Technological innovations, as the key to building competitive advantage, need a comprehensive review to address the issues related to transformation of the Indian industries. The present paper reports the broad findings of the first National Innovation Survey undertaken by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The findings presented here highlight the status of innovation related activities in different industrial sectors, its weaknesses, and areas requiring institutional interventions. The survey results underline the fact that the innovation activities in Indian industries are more for survival in a competitive market conditions than to create market advantage. A sort of disconnect between the innovation support system and the production system is a discernible fact that surfaces from the study. The study also indicates certain characteristics of the innovation behaviour of firms that brings out developing country issues of innovation.
miR-9 and let-7g enhance the sensitivity to ionizing radiation by suppression of $NF{\kappa}B1$
Arora, Himanshu,Qureshi, Rehana,Jin, Shunzi,Park, Ae-Kyoung,Park, Woong-Yang Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Bion 2011 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.43 No.5
The activation of nuclear factor-kappa B1 ($NF{\kappa}B1$) in cancer cells may confer resistance to ionizing radiation (IR). To enhance the therapeutic efficiency of IR in lung cancer, we screened for microRNAs (miRNAs) that suppress $NF{\kappa}B1$ and observed their effects on radiosensitivity in a human lung cancer cell line. From time series data of miRNA expression in ${\gamma}$-irradiated H1299 human lung cancer cells, we found that the expression of miR-9 was inversely correlated with that of $NF{\kappa}B1$. Overexpression of miR-9 down-regulated the level of $NF{\kappa}B1$ in H1299 cells, and the surviving fraction of ${\gamma}$-irradiated cells was decreased. Interestingly, let-7g also suppressed the expression of $NF{\kappa}B1$, although there was no canonical target site for let-7g in the $NF{\kappa}B1$ 3' untranslated region. From these results, we conclude that the expression of miR-9 and let-7g could enhance the efficiency of radiotherapy for lung cancer treatment through the inhibition of $NF{\kappa}B1$.

Direct disubstitution at the methylene bridges of p-tert-butylcalix[6] arenemethyl ether has been achieved for the first time using a lithiation-substitution protocol. Two stable conformers have been isolated using column chromatography, and their structures have been unambiguously confirmed from 1D, 2D and variable temperature NMR studies and single crystal X-ray structure analysis.
