This paper aimed to depict responses of Indonesian creative industry and young Indonesia on the presence of Korean popular culture (Korea Wave). Globalization of Korean Wave has reached Indonesia in 2002 and it began to take Indonesia into “era of Korea”. By conducting a small survey to students and using literature review, the paper applying cultural diamond model and using alternative globalization approach as entrypoints for discussion. The survey results showed that young Indonesian has a comprehensive understanding on factors that contributed to Korea Wave’s globalization, namely content and delivery of Korea Wave, as well as the role of Korea government. They pointed out the facts that Korean Wave popularity in Indonesia has been inspiring Indonesian creative industry workers to make better works, in particular using Korean popular culture as a reference. The paper presented the expectation of young Indonesian to the government to enhance their efforts to make young Indonesian more interested in their national culture. The discussion concluded that popularity of Korean Wave in Indonesia was possible because of, among others, Indonesia has a significant number of middle class, urban cyber new generation, and advance technology. Finally, through a study on globalization of Korean Wave, the authors suggest a reference for Indonesia to follow or catch-up culturally and economically using South Korea’s experiences in developing and exporting her pop culture in global market.
Magnetization and Magnetocaloric Effect in Sol-Gel Derived Nanocrystalline Copper-Zinc Ferrite.
Anwar, M S,Ahmed, Faheem,Koo, Bon Heun American Scientific Publishers 2015 Journal of nanoscience and nanotechnology Vol.15 No.2

We report the sol-gel synthesis and magnetocaloric effect in nanocrystalline copper-zinc ferrite (Cu0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4). The synthesized powder was characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and magnetization measurements. The XRD results confirm the formation of single phase spinel structure. The average particle size was found to be ~58 nm. FE-SEM results suggested that the nanoparticles are agglomerated and spherical in shape. Magnetization measurement reveals that Cu0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles exhibit transition temperature (Tc) above room temperature. The maximum magnetic entropy change (??SM)max shows interesting behaviour and was found to vary with the applied magnetic field. This nanopowder can be considered as potential material for magnetic refrigeration above room temperature.

Traditional Software Development for WLAN Propagation Model
Anwar Hassan Ibrahim,Mahamod Ismail,Kasmiran Jumari,Tiong Sieh Kiong 대한전기학회 2007 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.2 No.1
SPWPM traditional software development is surveyed and essential problems are investigated on the basis of system wireless link considerations. This paper presents the current state software planning tools for wireless LAN link optimization. The software directory is based on combination of MatLab and MapInfo software and measurement which gives the best grouping parameters to build up the software development. Among the requirements assumed, the WLAN site selections must be Line-of-sight (LOS) or near line of sight (NLOS) field strength prediction for either point to point or point to multi points. The results obtainable the out put of the program include two-dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) plots for creating the link; design parameters through GUI representing the height and location for each antenna is depending on K-factor of the area and transmit antenna location.
Seeds Classification for Image Segmentation Based on 3-D Affine Moment Invariants
Anwar Abdalbari,Jing Ren,Mark Green 대한의용생체공학회 2016 Biomedical Engineering Letters (BMEL) Vol.6 No.4
Purpose Image segmentation is a crucial topic in computervision and medical image processing. However, accurateimage segmentation is still a challenging task for many medicalapplications. The region growing based image segmentationprocess starts by selecting seed points within the region ofinterest. Hence, the segmentation algorithm is sensitive to theinitial seeds and the result can be influenced greatly by theaccuracy of seed selection process. Manual seed selectioncan be time-consuming and requires an expert to completethe selection. In this paper, we propose an innovativeapproach to automating the initialization process of the liversegmentation of magnetic resonance images. The seed points, which are needed to initialize the segmentation process weproposed in [1], are extracted and classified by using affineinvariant moments and artificial neural network. Methods We calculated eleven invariant moments for 56different points within the region of interest of an abdominalMR image. These points represent the bifurcation points ofthe vessels centerlines of the liver. In this paper, we dividethe shape of the liver into four regions; left hepatic vein, center hepatic vein, hepatic portal vein, and right hepaticvein. Then, the moments are classified by an artificial neuralnetwork to decide to which part of the liver each point belongs. Results We have validated our proposed technique bycomparing the method with manual seed selection. Theexperimental results show that our method outperforms themanual method in terms of the accuracy of seed pointselection and the speed of the process. Conclusions The proposed technique is considered a robusttechnique for 3D point selection and classification. Theselected seed points are used to initialize the segmentationprocess. The aim of this method is to efficiently detect andidentify the seed points in MR images.
MISCLASSIFICATION IN SIZE-BIASED MODIFIED POWER SERIES DISTRIBUTION AND ITS APPLICATIONS
ANWAR HASSAN,PEER BILAL AHMAD 한국산업응용수학회 2009 Journal of the Korean Society for Industrial and A Vol.13 No.1
A misclassified size-biased modified power series distribution (MSBMPSD) where some of the observations corresponding to x = c + 1 are misclassified as x = c with probability α, is defined. We obtain its recurrence relations among the raw moments, the central moments and the factorial moments. Discussion of the effect of the misclassification on the variance is considered. To illustrate the situation under consideration some of its particular cases like the size-biased generalized negative binomial (SBGNB), the size-biased generalized Poisson (SBGP) and sizebiased Borel distributions are included. Finally, an example is presented for the size-biased generalized Poisson distribution to illustrate the results.
