The aim of the present paper is to introduce a new subclass of meromorphic functions with positive coefficients defined by a certain integral operator and a necessary and sufficient condition for a function f to be in this class. We obtain coefficient inequality, meromorphically radii of close-to-convexity, starlikeness and convexity, convex linear combinations, Hadamard product and integral transformation for the functions f in this class.

In this paper, we investigate a new subclass $S^{{\varphi},{\lambda}}_{{\Sigma}_m}$ of ${\Sigma}_m$ consisting of analytic and m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions satisfying subordination in the open unit disk U. We consider the Fekete-$Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ inequalities for this class. Also, we establish estimates for the coefficients for this subclass and several related classes are also considered and connections to earlier known results are made.
A NEW SUBCLASS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS DEFINED BY HILBERT SPACE OPERATOR
AKGUL, Arzu The Honam Mathematical Society 2016 호남수학학술지 Vol.38 No.3
In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new subclass of meromorphic functions associated with a certain integral operator on Hilbert space. For this class, we obtain several properties like the coefficient inequality, extreme points, radii of close-to-convexity, starlikeness and meromorphically convexity and integral transformation. Further, it is shown that this class is closed under convex linear combination.

The catalytic properties of the Cr3+- and Fe3+-loaded clinoptilolites were screened in the liquid-phase isomerization of a-pinene and the major products were found to be camphene and limonene. Selectivity to camphene was superior for the 0.7Fe-CL catalyst than those observed for the Raw-CL and 0.4Cr-CL catalyst. Over raw clinoptilolite, the proportion of limonene and other isomers reached ~65% while it was 15% with 0.7Fe-CL and ~56% with 0.4Cr-CL. The results also show that the selectivity to camphene increases with increasing reaction time reaching up to about ~72% at 428 K over 0.7Fe-CL catalyst.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcomes of pharmacological thromboprophylaxis given for short-term duration to the patients who underwent major abdominal surgery for colorectal and gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: This retrospective cohort study was performed in consecutive patients who underwent major abdominal surgery for colorectal and gastric cancer and received short-term pharmacological thromboprophylaxis during hospital stay were enrolled. Complete duplex ultrasonography of the lower limbs was performed for all patients to investigate both symptomatic and asymptomatic deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Results: Overall, 278 patients were evaluated for inclusion and 62 colorectal and 27 gastric cancer patients were enrolled. Of 89 patients, the incidence of total and symptomatic DVT was 4.5% and 2.2%, respectively. The patients with symptomatic DVT were diagnosed within the first four months. The incidence of coronary artery disease, mucinous adenocarcinoma and vascular tumor invasion were significantly higher in patients with DVT (P-values<0.001, 0.009, and 0.02, respectively). Conclusion: Short-term pharmacological thromboprophylaxis after major abdominal surgery for colorectal and gastric cancer does not increase symptomatic DVT rates of patients with low Caprini score. Postoperative DVT surveillance may benefit patients with coronary artery disease, mucinous adenocarcinoma or vascular invasion of the tumor.

Background: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The incidence of lung cancer is aproximately 7-8 thousand percent in Turkish women. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the clinical, pathological properties and survival data of female patients with lung cancer who were treated in our center. Materials and Methods: From 2007 to 2012, 50 women with lung cancer were enrolled. Patient data were evaluated retrospectively. Results: The median age was 61 (40-81). Forty patients (80%) were diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), 10 patients (20%) were small cell carcinoma (SCC). Twelve (24%) patients were smokers and 13 of 16 non-smokers had a history of exposure to asbestos. The most common histologic subtype was adenocarcinoma (46%) and this accounted for 71% in patients with exposure to asbestos. The most common initial Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance score was 1 (24 patients, 48%) and initial stage was IV (25 patients, 50%) in the study group. During the median 15 months (1-96 months) followup period: 1 year overall survival (OS) was 68%, 2year overall survival was 36% and the median survival time was 19 months. According to univariate analysis, poor ECOG performance status, advanced stage, anemia and weight loss at time of diagnosis were negative prognostic factors. However, adenocarcinoma sub-type was a positive prognostic factor. Conclusions: In this study NSCLC sub-type, poor ECOG performance score, advanced stage, anemia and weight loss were prognostic factors in Turkish women with lung cancer.
