Over the past decade, there has been growing scientific evidence that dietary milk plays a role in beneficial effects for human health. Milk provides a number of good ingredients, in particular with growth factors and different types of proteins such as α -lactalbumin and β-casein. As well as essential amino acids of leucine and isoleucine are make to a positive way of human physical conditions. Therefore, those ingredients are directly involved in the human body, fluid composition and involved in metabolism of protein or carbohydrate. In addition, the development of physical strength and bone health associated with milk consumption. Thus, milk is one of good food for prevention of osteoporosis. Nowadays, several dietary guidelines suggest that people should intake two or three cups of dairy products including milk a day. However, some people cannot drink milk because they appear many adverse effects with regard to intake of milk like allergic reactions, lactose intolerance and weight gain problem. Consequently, it is worthy to discuss about these matters. Person pose the health problems regarding milk consumption should select dairy products carefully. Milk substitutes such as partially-hydrolyzed formula, yogurt, cheese and non- and low-fat dairy products are suggested. They prevent the allergy and lactose intolerance due to lactase in fermented milk digesting the lactose into glucose and galactose. Taking all of these into account, milk consumption is very important to maintain the human health. Although there are several adverse effects with regard to milk consumption, it would not be shown any health problem only if it follows the milk dietary guidelines. Therefore, a milk drinking should be actively encouraged for the public health.
The Connection between Hand Washing and Brushing Teeth
Ra-Ae Bak,Sun-Jung Shin,Hee-Jung Park,Jin-Young Jung,Hwa-Young Lee,Nam-Hee Kim 한국치위생과학회 2023 치위생과학회지 Vol.23 No.2
Background: The purpose of this study was to identify the connection between handwashing and toothbrushing, focusing on eating habits, and to verify whether eating habits can be used as an action cue for forming health habits. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study using secondary data from the 2019 community health survey. The participants included 229,099 adults aged 19 years or older, representative of the South Korean people. We employed two dependent variables: one was washing hands, and the other was brushing teeth. Eating habits was a major independent variable. Socioeconomic variables, such as age, gender, income, occupation, economic activity, education, and residence were adjusted as confounders. Multivariate logistic regression was performed to calculate adjusted odds ratio and 95% confidence intervals. Results: Most of the participants had good health behaviors: those who wash their hands and brush their teeth were each approximately 80%. Our finding indicated that brushing teeth and washing hands can be connected with eating habits. After adjusting for confounders, it was found that people who wash their hands before meals (compared to those who did not wash their hands before meals) had a higher toothbrushing rate after meals (i.e., socioeconomic status) (Adjusted Odds Ratio: 2.0, Confidence Intervals: 1.9 to 2.1). Conclusion: Those who practice either washing hands before meals or brushing teeth after meals were found to have a connection between washing hands and brushing teeth based on the results of practicing other health behaviors. This implies that eating habits can be connected as a behavior cue to promote health habits, such as washing hands before meals and brushing teeth after meals.

Background: Although there are no prospective randomized case-control studies and large series comparing the efficacy of conservative and surgical treatment options, the indications of surgery for bronchiectasis have been considered in some situations. Surgery can be performed for eradication in some patients suitable for resection who do not respond to conservative treatment. Case history: A 32-year-old man was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma in brainstem including medulla oblongata and treated with surgery and adjuvant chemoradiation. The tumor has leaded to aspiration tendency for several years, which finally induced bronchiectasis. The man suffering from massive hemoptysis and chronic bronchitis decided to get surgical resection. After operation, his recurrent hemoptysis was controlled by removing the worst part of bronchus. Results: After RLL lobectomy, recurrent massive hemoptysis was improved. Conclusions: We report here a case that pulmonary resection can be alternative method if the area of the lung affected by bronchiectactic change is localized. Key words: Bronchiectasis; pneumonia; lobectomy.

Herein, we report a case of multiple systemic arteries to pulmonary artery fistulas without any underlying causes, presenting recurrent hemoptysis. Transcatheter embolization was successfully performed several times on multiple systemic feeding arteries. Multiple systemic arteries to pulmonary fistulas can be a source of uncontrolled bleeding, and embolization may be a reasonable therapeutic option to control the bleeding.
CASE REPORT : Adjuvant Treatment of Proper Endobronchial Management in Leiomyosarcoma
( Soo Jung Kim ),( Jung Hyun Kim ),( Ju Hee Park ),( Ae Ra Lee ),( Jung Kyu Lee ),( Tae Min Kim ),( Young Sik Park ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2013 Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases Vol.75 No.6
Endobronchial metastasis of leiomyosarcoma is rare, but it can cause life-threatening complications, such as massive hemoptysis, respiratory failure or even death. The development of new endoscopic modalities allows for effective endobronchial management. We report three patients with endobronchial metastases from advanced leiomyosarcomas which caused bronchial obstruction. The bronchoscopic examinations revealed masses obstructing the left main bronchus in all three patients. After removing the endobronchial tumor via interventional bronchoscopy, there was symptomatic and radiologic improvement. Moreover, the patients were able to undergo additional palliative chemotherapy. Therefore, endobronchial management of endobronchial tumors should be considered in the treatment of endobronchial metastasis, even in patients with advanced malignancies.

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that can be treated using a combination of antitubercular drugs. First-line antitubercular agents such as isoniazid and rifampin are considered pivotal to successful treatment. However, they are also known to have relatively high rates of adverse events including hypersensitivity reactions. Discontinuing the first-line agents in the event of hypersensitivity may significantly compromise the cure rate of tuberculosis. Drug desensitization can be an effective method allowing continued use of the first-line agents and achieving successful cure of tuberculosis. A 70-year-old man was diagnosed with culture proven pulmonary tuberculosis and treated with first-line antitubercular agents (isoniazid, 300 mg; rifampin, 600 mg; pyrazinamide, 1,500 mg; and ethambutol, 800 mg). After 2 weeks of treatment, generalized erythematous papular rash and fever developed, for which all drugs were discontinued. Since he had hypersensitivity to all 4 first-line antitubercular agents, we tried desensitization for all 4 drugs one by one to resume antituberculosis treatment. After successful desensitization of all 4 first-line antituberculosis drugs, 6 months-antitubercular therapy was completed without any complications. We report here a case of multiple desensitization in a pulmonary tuberculosis patient having hypersensitivity to all of the 4 first-line antitubercular drugs, successfully completing 6-month antitubercular therapy without any complications.
