The growth of the purple sea urchin, Anthocidaris crassispina, has been investigated using reproduction plates as a character of the age determination. The samples were collected on the coast of Daepo, in the southers part of Cheju Island from August, 1996 to July, 1996. Monthly growth of test diameter mainly occurred from December to March. The obvious growth, however, were not observed between April and lune which seemed to be the resting period. This resting period well corresponded to the time of annual ring formation which was estimated from the analysis of the marginal growth rate. The growth curve fitted well with Bertalanffy equation: L_t=46.65(1-e^(-0.283(t+9.210))), W_t=44.90(1-e^(-0.283(t+9.210)))³

$LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ cathode materials prepared from different precursors in lithium rechargeable batteries were characterized by various analytical methods. $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ powders were synthesized by using solid-state reaction method and their physical and chemical properties were analyzed by XRD, SEM, particle size analyzer and TCP-AES. These materials showed different crystallinity, particle size, surface morphology and chemical composition. Also, the charge/discharge cycling of $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ electrodes was carried out under various cut-off voltages and it showed different behaviors. It was found that the electrochemical cyclability of $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ was strongly related to its crystallinity.
NATM 터널 설계/시공을 위한 새로운 가이드라인 고찰

본 논문에서는 현재 암반 지하 구조물의 설계에 있어 사용되고 있는 접근법인 정량적 암반분류시스템, 시공중 암반 거동에 근거한 분류시스템 그리고 일반적인 정성적 설계 절차의 특징 및 장단점을 살펴보았으며, 이러한 설계 기법의 단점을 해결하기 위하여 제안된 오스트리아 터널 설계 가이드라인을 소개하고 국내의 경우와 비교하였다. 그 결과 기술적으로 안전하고 경제적인 터널 건설을 위해서는 불확실한 지반조건 및 환경조건에 매우 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 설계 및 시공 기술이 필요하다고 판단되며, 오스트리아 터널 설계 가이드라인에서 이와 관련된 기준을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 국내에서도 안전하고 경제적인 터널 건설을 위하여 시공중 계측 자료를 충분히 활용하여 실제 지반 조건을 예측하고 불확실한 지반 조건에 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 설계 및 시공 기술을 적용하는 것이 바람직하다고 사료된다. Three approaches presently used for the design of underground structures in rock mass are quantitative rock mass classification system, classification systems based on the behavior of the rock mass during excavation and general qualitative procedures for the design process. In this study their characteristics and shortcomings are discussed, and Austrian guideline for tunnel design/construction, that was proposed to solve the problems with these methods, are introduced and compared. For technically sound and economic tunnel construction, a flexible design and construction procedure is needed to cope with uncertain ground and boundary condition, and also actual ground condition should be predicted through feedback of geotechnical information obtained during construction.
