        와트, 그는 누구인가?

        이 연구 논문은 인류 문명사에서 금자탑을 이루는 제 1차 산업혁명을 이끌고 성공적으로 이룬 와트에 관하여 그의 교육환경과 배움의 자세를 문헌을 통하여 살펴보고, 산업혁명의 결과물인 '새로운 증기기관'의 연구 개발 과정과 환경 등을 통하여 산업혁명을 이끄는 기본적인 인적 물적 인프라를 알아보는 데에 있다. 이러한 과정에서 얻어지는 정보는, 우리의 현재 학교교육이 지향하고 있는 '창의성 개발'에 관한 지침을 얻을 수 있다고 본다. 또한 아직은 태동기에 있는 '4차 산업혁명'을 대비하는 데에도 온고지신의 차원에서 많은 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 이상의 내용을 종합하여 얻은 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 와트의 부모는 아들이 기계장치 등에 흥미를 가지고 있다는 것을 알고 이 분야의 타고난 재능을 살려주기 위하여 적극적으로 협조하였다. 둘째, 와트는 글라스고우 대학의 교수들과 인연을 맺고 자신의 관심분야를 스스로 개척하며, 자기주도 학습으로 지식을 흡수하였다. 이러한 학문에 관한 끊임없는 능동적인 자세는 그를 이 분야의 기술자 및 이론가로서 성장시켰다. 셋째, 18세기에 신분의 벽을 뛰어넘는 새로운 시대를 주도하는 Lunar society의 연구 환경 인프라는 와트에게 과학적 호기심과 자유로운 탐구 정신을 경험하게 한 협회이다. 자신의 과학기술지식을 발표하고, 서로 이에 대한 의견을 자유롭게 교환하며 집단적 사고방식을 바탕으로 문제-해결의 지식을 축적해 가는 시스템이 있다는 것은 현대의 R & D환경을 만들 때에도 유념하여야 할 사항이다. 넷째, 사업가 볼턴과 같이 기술을 이해하고 그 가치를 파악하는 능력이 구비된 '경영의 귀재'가 연구자들을 재정적으로 지원하는 시스템이 필요하다. 동시에 재정문제를 그다지 걱정하지 않고 기술 자체를 즐기고 연구하는 '기술의 달인' 와트와 같은 사람이 있어야 산업혁명은 잘 이루어질 수 있다. This research paper is to examine James Watt who led the 1st industrial revolution successfully. His great work was called monumental achievement in the human history of civilization. Here, we looked over the Watts' educational environment during his infant, juvenile, and adolescence period and also, his learning attitude about his own field through literature review. The basic infra of soft and hard wares for the industrial revolution through the process of R & D on new developing steam engine resulted from the very industrial revolution and its R & D environment were to be investigated. The useful information and knowledge from this process of the research are able to give an appropriate educational guidance to bring up the development of creativity in schooling systems. And also a lesson from the past could be used to provide the desirable direction for the 4th industrial revolution which is just begun to start now. The main results from this study are as follows; First, Watts' parents positively guided him onto the technology of manual field because they recognized their son was interested in technology field. The parents' attitude stimulated and guided his sons' self-development, had been equal to the aims of education. Second, Watt made a chance of making friendships with professors of Glasgow University. He spontaneously had done self-directed learning for getting knowledge and technology, and thus he became an expert of practical engineer and theorist. Third, the Lunar society, which was jumping over one's social position in their society of the 18th century through new thinking way, leading new ages had been very good R & D social infra for Watt to open and connect new advanced level of science and technology in his age. This society provided a study environment fields for their members to exchange their ideas of scientific curiosity and freely inquiry, technology informations. They had discussed and understood the issues to be occurred in their own fields and accumulated necessary knowledge for problem-solving, respectively. Such as this R & D system environment will be also considered in the modern research group. Fourth, the entrepreneur such as Boulton, who understand technology and grasp its value in future, is needed. The system of 'grue of management' will support the researcher with financial support, which is necessary in R & D. And the researcher like Watt who takes pleasure in technology itself and study eagerly in his field without financial problems, that is, 'grue of technical expert' is essential when leading to success in the industrial revolution.

        직업학교와 전문대학간 연계 교육 도입을 위한 기초 연구

        The purpose of this study was to find the cognizance of the teachers and students in vocational schools about the existing articulated education, to understand the need, and to search for the method of articulating vocational schools and junior colleges. The results of this study were as follows: (1) 85% of teachers had knowledge of the existing articulated education between the occupational high schools and junior colleges, but 83% of the students did not know about it. In the case of teachers, male teachers had more cognizance on the articulated education than female. (2) 76% of the teachers and 84% of the students pointed out the need of vocational education with a junior college degree at least in the coming information society. (3) Teachers expected the cooperation of vocational schools, junior colleges, and industry to innovate craftman-based job education. (4) 94% of the teachers required articulated education of the vocational schools and junior colleges. (5) 90% of the teachers and 96% of the students anticipate articulated education will vitalize vocational education. Male teachers have hoped for the 2 year-integrated course to be articulated, but female teachers have insisted on the 1 year-entrusted course.

        개방형 유동층을 이용한 태양광 고온가스 가열장치의 연구

        후레넬렌즈 (면적 0.5㎡)에 의해서 고밀도 집광능력을 갖는 소형태양 집열시스템이 태양에너지 집열장치와 소형 유동층 태양광 수열장치로서 개발되었다. 유동층 수열장치에서의 성능과 온도분포는 SiC입자와 공기를 작동유체로 하여서 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 공기 최대도달 온도는 1250K이었다. 또한 개발한 태양에너지 집열기와 유동층 수열장치에 대한 에너지 효율은 높았다. A small scale solar collector system composed of a Fresnel lens of 0.5㎡ area as a solar concentrator and a compact fluidized-bed solar receiver was developed. Performance and temperature distribution in the fluidized bed receiver were measured using SiC for particles and air for working fluid. The maximum gas temperature was attained up to 1250K at this moment. In this study, energy efficiency achieved by the present experiment was high for the small scale solar collector system and compact receiver.

        공업계 고등학교의 문제점과 개선 방안 I - 공업계 고등학교 졸업생과 산업체를 중심으로 -

        This study was to investigate the problems of existing technical high schools and to reasonably suggest their improvements from the viewpoint of technical high school graduates and related industries employees. The main results of this study are as follows: (1) 94.4% of graduates pointed out what they had learned with their textbooks at technical schools was not very useful in their working field. (2) 97.1% of graduates responded that they could get only a bit of help from what they practiced at school or almost no help from it. (3) More than half of graduates considered that the early part of 2nd semester of freshman year is to be the most appropriate time to select which area students are going to study. (4) 72.8% of employers recognized a big differences between what had been taught at technical high schools and what had been needed from the graduates at the workshop. (5) 48.5% of personnel managers of related industries pointed out that field-oriented job education is needed and 42.4% of them emphasized that basic knowledge should be reinforced at the technical high schools.

        디젤엔진의 온도 측정법

        In recent years, the needs for temperature of an engine has been increased for thermal analysis in order to get higher thermal efficiency and temperature distribution on engine. This basic study aims to establish temperature measurement technique for Diesel engines. A mechanical linkage system, L-link mechanism, and FM transmitter system to measure the operating temperature of the engine are developed and installed to the Diesel engine. The main results from this study are as follows : (1) Data acquisition system. (2) L-lirk mechanism for contact method and FM transmitter for noncontact have been designed, manufactured and developed. (3) Piston, cylinder liner and cylinder head temperature with various engine torque and speed for engine operating conditions have been measured.

        공업계 고등학교의 문제점과 개선 방안 II - 공업계 고등학교 재학생과 교사를 중심으로 -

        This study was to investigate the problems of existing technical high schools and to reasonably suggest their improvements from the viewpoint of technical high school students and teachers. The main results of this study are as follows: (1) The main students` motives to enter technical high schools were their level of academic achievement(46.4%), interest and aptitude(25.0%), and career guidance of their class teachers(12.5%) in middle school. (2) 68.8% of students wanted to change their major field, and 57.3% of students suggested that the appropriate time to choose major field should be at the beginning of the 2nd semester in the 1st grade. (3) 30.0% of students are unable to understand their studies in the text, and 46.0% of students have difficulty to study because of the insufficient basic mathematical ability. (4) 23.3% of teachers pointed out unsuitable curriculum of existing technical high school and the shortage of characterization of technical high schools, and 21.9% of teachers recognized the absence of philosophy for bringing up elites in technical field. (5) 74.0% of teachers realized that the new teachers` training system is necessary so that teachers with ability to practice as well as hands-on theoretical knowledge may be brought up, and 81.9% teachers agreed that the graduated students from technical high schools will have to be privileged in entering the college of education in the same field.

        밀폐형 유동층을 이용한 태양광 고온가스 가열장치의 연구

        태양광 고온가스가열 장치를 위하여 후레넬렌즈면적 0.5㎡를 갖는 소형태양집열 및 추적시스템과 고급의 소형 밀폐형 유동층 태양광 수열기를 개발하였다. 개발된 태양광 수열기는 개방형 유동층의 단점인 SiC입자의 유출과 열사이폰효과를 개선하였다. 공기의 최대 도달온도는 1140K이며, 최대 열효율은 64%얻어졌다. 본 연구에서 개발한 태양광 수열기는 기존의 평판이나 관형의 고체표면을 갖는 태양 집열기와 비교할 때 아주 고온에서 효율좋게 작동된다. A small-scale solar collector and tracking system, using a Fresnel lens of 0.5』, and novel compact fluidized-bed solar receiver[FBRJ of closed type has been developed for high temperature solar gas heating. The FBR was improved in carrying over of SiC powder and thermo siphon effect. The maximum outlet air temperature of 1140K and the maximum thermal efficiency of 64 % were obtained. The present FBR's operated efficiently at extremely high temperatures in comparison with conventional solar receivers, composed of flat or tubular solid surfaces.

        공업계 고등학교 전자 회로 실습교과에서 '8051 마이크로프로세서' 단원의 교수-학습을 위한 CD-ROM 개발

        공업계 고등학교의 교과서인 전자 회로 실습에 기술되어 있는 8051 마이크로프로세서 단원을 중심으로 CD-ROM을 개발하기 위한 본 연구는 교과서 내용의 설명에 치우치기 쉽고 학급에서 수준 차가 있는 학생들을 대상으로 하는 교수-학습의 어려움을 극복하고, 학생들에게 교과서 내용을 중심으로 멀티미디어를 활용한 자기 주도적인 보충학습의 기회를 제공함으로써 기초학력이 부족한 공업계 고등학교 학생들의 학업 성취도를 높이는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 $\ulcorner$문헌 연구$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$연구교과서 및 자료 수집$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$CD-ROM제작$\lrcorner$의 과정을 거쳐 순차적으로 연구가 수행되었다. 각 단계별 연구 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문헌연구를 통해서 멀티미디어의 개념 및 특징, 수업에 활용 사례 등에 대해 고찰하였다. 둘째, 교과서 및 자료 수집에서는 8051 마이크로프로세서 단원을 중심으로 교과서를 분석하고 주요 내용을 추출하였고, 그래픽, 사운드, 애니메이션 등은 직접 제작하였다. 셋째, 기본 학습주제를 8개의 영역으로 구성하였고, 체계적인 학습 흐름이 될 수 있도록 제작하였다. 이상의 연구에서 전자 회로 실습 교과서의 8051 마이크로프로세서 단원을 중심으로 CD-ROM을 개발하여 교수-학습 자료로서 하나의 유형을 제시하였으며 이러한 학습 보조 자료는 기초 학습 능력이 대체로 부족한 공업계 학생들의 학습 활동에 다양한 형태로 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study was to develop CD-ROM so that students can understand 8051 Microprocessor unit easily in electronics circuit practice subject of technical high school. The study gives students, who have difficulties in learning, a chance for self-directed and supplementary learning by suggesting interface process with 8051 Practice Kit. To achieve these purposes, literature survey, collecting textbooks and materials, development of CD-ROM were gradually carried out. Each steps were as follows: Firstly, in literature survey, concepts and characteristics of multimedia and application to class were reviewed. Secondly, text contents on 8051 Microprocessor unit were analyzed, main contents were extracted and graphic, sound, animation were made. It was consisted of eight basic learning subjects, and designed to flow systematically. In this study, we presented a kind of teaching-learning material by developing CD-ROM in 8051 microprocessor unit in electronics circuit practice subject as a central matter. This material will be able to help technical high school students in learning
