N/A Background : Induction of coagulation necrosis by using thermal energy sources such as radio-frequency (RF), microwaves and lasers has recently been as a new, minimally invasive technique for percutaneous tumor ablation. RF ablation is considerd effective and safe for the local control of small HCCs. The aim of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and complications according to the diameter and location of the HCC. Methods : Between May 1999 and December 2000, one hundred fifty patients underwent RF thermal ablation in Dong-A university hospital. Among them, forty nine patients were enrolled in this study who have no history of prior other treatment including hepatic resection, TAE, PEI, and chemotherapy, also who have follow-up CT performed at least six months after ablation. The patients devided into two groups, who have small HCC (.3 cm in diameter) and the others. Recurrence rate was also evaluated with spiral CT performd at least six months after treatment. Results : In large HCC group (>3 cm in diameter), the mean follow-up duration was 10.8 months and local recurrence rate was 51.0%?12.4. In small HCC group (.3 cm in diameter), the mean follow-up duration was 12.7 months. Local recurrence rate was 16.2%?8.6 in patients with small HCC. Among one hundred fifty patients underwent radio-frequency thermal ablation, 5 cases of intraperitoneal bleeding, 5 cases of pleural effusion and 3 cases of pneumothorax were observed. In most of cases, the necrotic area of HCC reached to the capsule of liver or located in hepatic dome. Conclusion : Radio-frequency ablation appears to be more effective and safe for the treatment of small HCC than that of large HCC and more attetion must be given to the RF ablation if the tumor is larger than 3cm or located close to the capsule of liver or in hepatic dome. 최근 3년간 하자심사 · 분쟁조정위원회에 접수된 하자심사 사건 중 창문틀 및 문짝공사의 비율은 약 16%이고 이 중 결로 관련 사건의 비율은 약 43%이다. 특히 창호와 구조체의 접합부에서 발생하는 결로는 설계 기법과 시공 공법의 변화를 통한 개선의 여지가 크다고 볼 수 있으며 이에 대한 개선방안을 제안하였다.

전남 나주지역에서 ``원황`` 배 개화기간 동안 서리 피해를 막기 위한 미세살수와 방상팬의 서리피해 경감효과를 알아보기 위해서 본 시험을 수행하였다. 미세살수와 방상팬은 4월의 개화기간 중 2℃ 미만으로 떨어졌을 때만 작동되었다. 과원의 최저 온도가 0C 미만이었을 때 미세살수와 방상팬은 대조구에 비해서 온도를 상승시켰고, 이는 화서별 서리피해율을 약 50% 감소시켰고, 평균 착과수를 2배 이상 증가시켰다. 미세살수와 방상팬은 정형과 비율이 약 50%로 대조구의 38%보다 높 은 것으로 관찰되었다. 방상팬의 경우 우리나라 지형을 고려해서 여러 대의 방상팬을 서리피해 상습지대에 배치한다면 보다 효율적으로 서리피해를 방지 할 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다. This study was performed to decrease frost damage of ``Wonhwang`` pear (Pyrus pyriforia) trees by operation of sprinkler and wind machine during a flowering in Naju, Chonnam. Sprinkler and wind machine were stipulated to activate less than 2℃ during April of 2010. Orchard minimum temperature was elevated by sprinkler and wind machine compared to those of control when the temperature was less than 0℃; both treatments reduced approximately 50% frost damage of inflorescence and increased two times fruit set compared to the control. Trees treated by sprinkler and wind machine produced approximately 50% uniform fruit compared with 38% uniform fruit in control trees. Fruit setting degree of uniformity was 2 times higher at the control trees than those of the sprinkler? and wind machine-treated trees, which indicated that the control trees had lack of uniformity of the fruit setting degree, mostly due to the severe frost damage of the flusters.
