A simulation program, which can describe the performance of a micro-channel condenser in a heat pump system, is developed. The deviation between simulated results and experiment results was 4% in heat transfer rate. The design parameters of the micro-channel condenser are optimized by the simulation program and design of experiment. The approximate model was generated by Kriging method. The result of design optimization obtained by Micro Genetic Algorithm(MGA) shows higher performance than that of reference model. By comparing reference model with the optimized model, the heat capacity per unit volume and JF factor is enhanced by 10.6%, 28% respectively.

A general procedure for the optimal design of a micro-channel heat exchanger for heat pump systems is presented. For this design, a performance analysis program that can reflect the various geometric variables of the micro-channel heat exchanger was developed. The deviation between simulated and experiment results of previous research was within 4% for the heat transfer rate. To prove the feasibility of the optimal design process, the performance of the reference heat exchanger was compared to that of the optimized heat exchanger. The JFair and PECV of the optimized heat exchanger were enhanced by 14% and 26%, respectively.

In this paper, the confined single slot jet impingement is investigated numerically. Although the geometry of the jet impingement is simple, the flaw pattern of the jet impingement is complex and the numerical results of the jet impingement is affected much by numerical methods. The first goal of this study is to analyze the effects of Reynolds models and numerical spatial discretization schemes on the results of heat transfer performance am the flow characteristics and to select the best method. Various versions of the low Reynolds number k-epsilon turbulence models are compared. Using the selected numerical method, the flow field and heat transfer characteristics of confined single slot jet impingement on a moving plate are analyzed.
차량 내 근접난방 활용방식에 따른 탑승자 온열쾌적감 양상에 관한 실험 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermal comfort of passengers by proximity heating method. The Case 1 experiment using convection and contact heating and the Case 2 experiment using convection, contact, and radiant heating were conducted in September 2022 and February 2023, respectively. It was found that Case 1 was higher for both thermal sensation and comfort but both the increase rate and range were higher in Case 2. Also, although the number of directly affected areas was small and the aspect of these areas was different from indirectly affected areas, the whole body thermal sensation and comfort was very similar to those of directly affected areas, confirming the effectiveness of simultaneous application of radiation and contact heating and the step-down heating scenario.
