Objects : The objects of this study are to evaluate the effects of rehabilitative treatments and to determine the relationship between recovery rate and variable factors. Methods : We performed a statistical study on 94 cases of stroke by the age, the gender, the ambulation status, the verbal disturbance, the visual problem, the sensory change, the side of stroke, the type of lesion, the mental and cognitive state, the interval between onset and rehabilitative treatment etc..Results and Conclusion : 1. In each group of the age, the gender, the ambulation status, the verbal disturbance, the visual problem, the sensory change, the side of stroke, the type of lesion, the mental and cognitive state, the interval between onset and rehabilitative treatment, the history of stroke, the existence of internal medicine disease, the initial NIHSS score, the initial MBI score have statistically significant increase in the MBI score after the rehabilitative treatment.2. In each group of the age, the gender, the verbal disturbance, the sensory change, the side of stroke, the type of lesion, the history of stroke, the existence of internal medicine disease, the interval between onset and rehabilitative treatment have not statistically significant difference in the MBI score after the rehabilitative treatment.3. In each group of the ambulation status, the visual problem, the mental and cognitive state, the initial NIHSS score, the initial MBI score have statistically significant difference in the MBI score after the rehabilitative treatment.4. The degree of initial MBI score has statistically significant correlation with the length of hospitalization and the rehabilitative treatment.

Objectives & Methods: The objective of this study is to evaluate the relation to digital clubbing, knee pain, fever, weight loss and lung tumor by case study. Result: Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is a syndrome that manifests itself by clubbing of fingers and toes, periosteal and osteal neoformation in acral bones and poly hyperplastic synovitis. It may occur as primary form or secondary form, associated with various diseases, especially neoplastic or infectious diseases. Conclusions: Early and accurate diagnosis of hypertropic osteoarthropathy is important for it may point to the priamry disease, espacelly cancerous disease.

Objectives: Iontophoresis is the induction of ionized medications topically via low level electric current. This study evaluated clinical effectiveness of herb-iontophoresis for the pain management of musculoskeletal disease by comparing with common acupuncture treatment. Methods: Patients were divided into iontophoresis and acupuncture group. Iontophoresis group was delivered ionized herb medicine via iontophoresis and acupuncture group was practised common acupuncture treatment when patients feel a bad pain. Pain levels were recorded at before treatment and 0, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120 miniute after treatment utilizing a visual analog pain scale(VAS) of 0-10. Then we analyzed the improvement score{(VAS of before treatment - VAS of each time after treatment)/VAS of before treatement ×100(%)} and compared between iontophoresis group and acupuncture group. Results and Conclusions: There were a total of 44 patients enrolled in the study, 26 in the iontophoresis group and 18 in the acupuncture group. The improvement score in iontophoresis group increased significantly until 30 minute after treatment and stagnated in some degree until 120 minute after treatment (P<0.05). The improvement score in acupuncture group increased significantly until 10 minute after treatment(P<0.05) and stagnated in some degree until 120 minute after treatment. Gap of improvement score between iontophoresis group and acupuncture group was not significant in each time.

Objectives : Iontophoresis is the induction of ionized medications topically via low level electric current. This study evaluated the effectiveness of herb-iontophoresis for the pain management of musculoskeletal disease. Methods : Patients were divided into iontophoresis and control group. Iontophoresis group was administered ionized herb medicine via iontophoresis and was performed acupuncture treatment, oral herb medication and others. Control group was performed acupuncture treatment, oral herb medication and others. Pain levels were recorded initially and finally utilizing a visual analog pain scale(VAS) of 0-10. Then we analyzed the improvement score{(initial VAS-final VAS)/initial VAS×100(%)} according to ages, chief complaint between iontophoresis and control group. Results : There were a total of 74 patients enrolled in the study, 26 in the iontophoresis group and 48 in the control group. The iontophoresis group had better results than control group in improvement score(49.4±31.8% versus 42.1±32.8%). The improvement scores of forties, shoulder and flank pain were statistically significant(p<0.05) as compared with control group. Conclusion : The results from this study have demonstrated herb-iontophoresis to show clinically improvement in the pain management of musculoskeletal disease.
