        [러시아] 더 많이 더 다양하게 쓰기

        This paper aims to analyze the articles and books about Russian history published in 2013~2014 in South Korea. During two years 75 research articles, 21 books including translations, and 5 reviews were get out. It means that the amount of literary publications of Russian history increased considerably, comparing to that of 2011~2012, although number of scholars working on that field stayed almost unchanged. Moreover, the topics that they dealt with became more various. They cover very diverse aspects of Russian history such as politics, economy, society and culture from medieval Russia to contemporary post-Soviet countries. The quantitative expansion, however, does not ensure qualitative improvements. It is very difficult to find monographs written in Korean language which focus on the specific themes about Russian history. Seemingly, many of the published literatures prove only to introduce discussions and arguments from Russian and Western scholars or at most to add some opinions to them. All this appears to come from their relative negligence of archival and primary sources, when authors wrote articles and books. It is now necessary to pay closer attention to them so as to produce more creative literatures about Russian history.

        소련-독일 전쟁과 냉전 - 군사-정치 지도자로서 스탈린의 역할 -

        이 글은 제프리 로버츠(Geoffrey Roberts)의 Stalin’s Wars: From World War to Cold War, 1939-1953을 비판적으로 검토함으로써 스탈린이 제2차 세계대전과 냉전 초기 동안 군사-정치 지도자로서 소련의 안전을 지키기 위해 어떻게 사고하고 행동하였는지를 면밀히 살펴보려는 시도이다. 로버츠는 이 저서에서 제2차 세계대전 동안 스탈린이 군사 지도자로서 “대체 불가능할” 정도로 매우 유능했으며, 전쟁 중은 물론이고 전쟁 이후에도 ‘대연합’을 유지하려고 애를 씀으로써 냉전을 어떻게든 회피하려 했다고 주장한다. 그러나 로버츠의 이 테제는 예컨대, 전쟁 초기는 물론이고 전쟁 후반기에도 스탈린이 계속 저질렀던 군사적 실책들의 중요성을 거의 무시하거나, 스탈린의 사고와 행동에 큰 영향을 미친 공산주의 이념의 역할을 경시하거나, 때로는 스탈린이 모든 외교적 결정을 주도한 것처럼 그의 리더십을 지나치게 강조한 데 바탕을 두고 있다. 그의 주장이 좀 더 설득력을 갖기 위해서는 보다 확실한 증거와 관련 논제들에 대한 더욱 세밀한 고찰이 필요할 것이다. This essay aims to take a close look into what and how Iosif Stalin as a Soviet highest leader thought and acted in order to ensure the security of the Soviet Union during World War Ⅱ and early Cold War, reviewing critically Geoffrey Robert’s Stalin’s Wars: From World War to Cold War, 1939-1953. In his book, Roberts argues that Stalin was very effective and unreplaceable as a warlord, and indispensable to the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany. Also, in Robert’s view, Stalin worked hard to make the Grand Alliance a success and wanted to see it continue after the war, averting the Cold War. But more evidences and deeper researches are required to accept Robert’s more or less bold arguments. His theses are based on almost ignoring Stalin’s wrong military decisions during the Soviet-German War which often led to a national disaster. Moreover, Roberts disregards the important role of communist ideology which made a great impact on Stalin’s mind-set and behavior, depicting him as a completely rational and pragmatic leader. Also Roberts often overemphasizes Stalin’s leadership, as if he alone made a decision on every international issues, without appropriately analyzing the relationships between him and his diplomatic advisors and aids.

        손목시계 형태의 투과형 PPG 측정 장치의 구현에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 효율적인 손목시계형 PPG 측정 장치의 구현에 관하여 연구하였다. PPG는 반사형 또는 투과형으로 측정이 가능하며, 일반적으로 손목시계의 형태의 PPG 측정 장치는 반사형으로 구현되기 때문에 동잡음에 취약하다는 단점이 있다. 또한 반사형의 경우 한쪽 손을 고정한 상태에서 다른 손을 사용하여 측정을 해야 하기 때문에 활동성에도 제약이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 개발된 장치에 클립형의 투과형 센서를 추가하여 손가락에 고정시킴으로써 측정 시 움직임을 최소화하도록 동잡음에 강건하도록 하였고, 한 손으로 측정이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 탈부착이 가능하도록 구현하여 활동성에 영향이 없도록 하였다. 제안된 장치는 측정된 신호를 실시간으로 전송이 가능하기 때문에 스마트 헬스케어 분야에 적합하며 제안된 장치의 성능을 판단하기 위해 기존의 장치와 같은 조건하에서의 측정된 신호를 비교 실험하였다. 실제 심박수 측정이 가능한 파형을 확인한 결과, 제안된 측정 장치는 기존의 장치에 비해 20%의 성능향상이 있음을 확인하였다. This paper presents an effective PPG measurement device in a wrist watch for smart healthcare. PPG can be acquired by measuring absorption of light and PPG measurement device is classified as transmission and reflection type. Reflection type is easy to implement but vulnerable to motion artifact. Moreover, reflection type must use 2 hands at once if the device is implemeted in a wrist watch. This paper describes the implementation of robust transmission type PPG measurement device by using previous developed reflection type device. PPG sensor is clip type and can be separated from the device so that the influence of motion artifact can be reduced. The proposed device can transmit the measured signal in real-time and is useful for smart healthcare. For evaluation of the proposed device, PPG signals are compared with reflection type in the same condition. The results show that the proposed device has 20% improvement in performance.

        유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 위한 효율적인 낙상 감지 기법

        In this paper, a novel fall detection method in a wrist watch for ubiquitous healthcare is proposed. A fall detection system using an accelerometer has low detection rate and is error-prone if the system is in a wrist, because a wrist may move like a fall in a daily life. For solving the problem, a novel method which uses audio signal in addition to the accelerometer is proposed. To evaluate the proposed method, an audio module attached to the previous fall detection system has been designed. The experimental results showed that the proposed method had 85% fall detection rate and had the increase of 15% detection rate in comparison with the previous method.

        유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 위한 저전력 기법

        In this paper, a low power methodology for battery-driven ubiquitous healthcare devices is presented. Ubiquitous health care sensor nodes for monitoring health typically use high power consumption sensors and it is not adequate for the sensor nodes to use previous low power techniques because the techniques focus strongly on wireless communication module. Therefore, this paper proposes an evaluation method and a low power technique for ubiquitous healthcare devices. The evaluation method uses modular weight numbers that are determined by the activity time of each module to estimate the power dissipation and the proposed low power technique uses the modular weight numbers. The experimental result through a case study showed that the proposed method had 9.7% reduction of energy saving.

        손목시계 형태의 응급상황 감지장치 개발

        This paper describes a wrist-worn monitoring system for caring health of elderly people. The system comprises a wearable wrist watch-style device and a PC-based gateway. The wrist-worn device senses the motion of the wearer by using a 3-axes accelerometer and the motion is used for detecting a harmful fall situation. It also has IR sensors to measure a heart rate of the wearer. The output of the sensors transmits to the gateway and the gateway enables a care-giver to monitor the wearer's health information at a remote location. To evaluate the system, we tested the system with respect to the functions and the performance. The results showed that the system had 70% fall detection rate and reliability of the heart rate measurement was found to be acceptable.

        태양전지를 이용한 유비쿼터스 헬스케어 장치 개발

        Healthcare function on a sensor node decreases battery life due to increased power consumption. This causes battery exchange problem. In this paper, we present a solar-based ubiquitous healthcare device which supports perpetual operation without exchanging battery. The device has healthcare function such as heart rate detection in addition to the basic function of general sensor node and uses harvest-store-use architecture for harvesting energy. For evaluating the device, we compared the device with previous sensor nodes based on solar energy harvesting. For testing the device, solar energy measurement was conducted for making similar situation in indoor environment. The evaluation and test results show that the device acted as a healthcare node manages energy harvesting and storage perpetually.

        가속도 센서를 사용한 손목시계형 비디오 게임 컨트롤러의 구현

        This paper presents a video game controller in a wrist watch. Implemented device can recognize specific gestures and play a video game with the recognized gestures. A consumer video game controller such as Wii Remote must catch in hand tightly and has significant problems such as safety and malfunction due to wrist rotation during gesture recognition process. In this paper, we implemented a wrist watch-style video game controller by using the previous developed fall detection device and solved the problems. Moreover, we developed a Tetris game by using Labview and evaluated the availability of the proposed device. The results show that the device can be used in normal video games and can recognize various gestures.
