The Class III malocclusion classified in two types of Skeletal Class III and Pseudo Class III. In the case of the maxillary deficiency, the protraction H-G(facemask) with Bonded RPE can be used. For children with A-P and vertical maxillary deficiency, the preferred treatment is to move the maxilla into a more anterior and inferior position, which also increases its size as bone is added at the posterior and superior sutures. Successful forward repositioning of the maxilla can be accomplished before age 8. To resist tooth movement as much as possible, the maxillary teeth should be splinted together as a single unit. The maxillary appliance must have hooks for attachment to the facemask that are located in the canine-primary molar area above the occlusal plane. The facemask usually worn until a positive overjet of 2-5mm is achieved interincisally. Occipital chin cup is successful in those patients who can bring their incisors close to an edge-to-edge position when in centric relation. This treatment is particularly useful in patients who begin treatment with a short lower anterior facial height, as this type of treatment can lead to an increase in lower anterior facial height. If the pull of the chin cup is directed below the condyle, the force of the appliance may lead to a downward and backward rotation of the mandible.

Li-K-Cd 합금을 이용한 LiCl-KCl 용융염에서 금속염화물의 제거

Li-Cd 합금을 이용한 환원추출방식을 LiCl-KCl 기반의 drawdown 공정에 적용하게 되면, LiCl-KCl 공융염의 조성이 파괴되므로 공정온도를 높여야 하며, 전해정련 및 전해제련과 같은 공정에 LiCl-KCl 용융염을 재사용할 수 없게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 공융염 조성에 적합한 Li-K-Cd 합금을 제조하였으며, 이를 이용하여 U와 Nd가 포함된 LiCl-KCl 염에 투입하여 용융염 내 $UCl_3$의 제거가 가능한지 평가하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to present the clinical findings obtained from the fourth year epidemiological study on dental caries prevalence in Korean children and to compare them with those from the first year study made in 1973 by Paik. The oral examination was performed for this study on 1,451 children, composed of 808 boys and 643 girls, at "K" elementary school located in Seoul, Korea. The following conclusions are drawn: 1. The df person rate of primary teeth is 90.30% for boys, 90.67% for girls, and 90.43% for all, which is 7.41% higher than the first year value. 2. The dft index per child of primary teeth is 4.26 for boys, 4.30 for girls, and 4.28 for all, which is 0.42 higher than the first year value. The dt index is 2.49 for boys, 2.44 for girls, and 2.47 for all, which is 0.59 lower than the first year value. The ft index is 1.77 for boys, 1.86 for girls, and 1.81 for all, which is 1.01 higher than the first year value. 3. The DMF person rate of permanent teeth is 70.24% for boys, 73.05% for girls, and 71.49% for all, which is 16.28% lower than the first year value. 4. The DMFT index per child of permanent teeth is 2.08 for boys, 2.50 for girls, and 2.27 for all, which is 1.31 lower than the first year value. The DT index is 1.44 for boys, 1.64 for girls, and 1.53 for all, which is 1.53 lower than the first year value. The FT index is 0.61 for body, 0.85 for girls, and 0.71 for all, which is 0.21 higher than the first year value. The MT index is 0.02 for all, which is statistically the same as the first year value.

조현병 환자의 인지기능과 뇌 사건유발전위의 관계

Objectives : Event-related potentials have been suggested as an objective marker for brain functions in psychiatric disorders. This study was aimed to investigate the relationships between P300, the mismatch negativity (MMN), the loudness dependence of the auditory evoked potential (LDAEP), demographic and clinical variables including neurocognitive abilities in patients with schizophrenia. Methods : P300, the MMN, and the LDAEP were measured and the Korean Stroop color-word test (K-stroop test) and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) were performed in 43 patients with schizophrenia. The relationship of the latency and amplitude of P300 and the MMN as well as regression slope of the LDAEP with demographic and clinical variables were analyzed by t-test and correlation analyses for categorical and continuous variables, respectively. Results : After controlling for age, the latency of central (Cz) and parietal (Pz) P300 posivitively correlated with GAF at admission (Cz ; ${\gamma}$ = 0.385, p = 0.047, Pz ; ${\gamma}$ = 0.421, p = 0.029). The amplitude of parietal P300 correlated with the correction rate of the K-stroop test (${\gamma}$ = 0.575, p = 0.002). In addition, the frontal (Fz) P300 latency tended to negatively correlated with the correction rate of the WCST (${\gamma}$ = -0.371, p = 0.057). Conclusions : Our findings suggest that the values of P300 latency and amplitude might be correlated with GAF at admission and working memory measured by the K-Stroop test and the WCST. Meanwhile, the MMN and the LDAEP did not correlate with demographic and clinical variables. These results support the results of previous studies showing associations with P300 and impaired cognitive ability.

Considering that the aged population increases and the mobility problem is pointed out as a factor that indisposes the quality of life, cognition, and mood, it is important to understand and evaluate the elderly's mobility. Factors that deteriorate mobility in the elderly include physical senility, various health changes including chronic diseases, polypharmacy as well as anticholinergics. Common mobility problems in old age are reduced gait speed, increased gait variability in walking length, careless walking, and frequent falls. Several studies have reported that decreased mobility and deterioration of gait can predict cognitive decline and emotional problems. Aerobic exercise, resistance exercise, and balance exercise are suggested as therapeutic interventions for mobility problems. Active correction for factors that reduce mobility in the elderly and prescribing physical activity can conserve the elderly's quality of life and help improve cognition and mood. There is a need for related research in the future.

Ectopic Eruption of transposed mandibular lateral incisors

Mandibular permanent lateral incisors showing bilateral transposition and ectopic eruption were seen beside deciduous first molars in a female aged 8yr 8month. Repositioning of the ectopic lateral incisor is difficult not only because of its distal displacement and severe rotation but also because of the potential development of transposition with the erupting canine. This paper is focused on the diagnosis of the ectopic eruption and advocates treatment with active orthodontic management at the early stage of mixed dentition, before the eruption of the permanent cuspid. 하악 측절치의 transposition은 매우 드믄 맹출장애이지만, 하악 견치의 맹출장애를 초래할 수 있고, 심미적, 기능적인 심각한 문제를 유발하므로 조기 진단 및 조기치료, 장기간의 유지장치가 바람직하다.

스마트미디어 이용동향

최근 스마트폰을 비롯한 다양한 스마트 기기가 확산되면서 미디어 환경 및 이용행태에 변화가 일어나고 있다. 스마트미디어화에 따라 이용자 선택형 서비스가 강화되면서, 인터넷 접속이 가능한 다양한 스마트 기기 내에서의 OTT(Over-The-Top) 서비스 이용이 증가할 것으로 보인다. 지상파, 유료방송 등 전통적인 방송시청 플랫폼에서뿐만 아니라 다수의 플랫폼과 기기를 통한 방송시청이 증가하고 있는 만큼, 이에 대한 이용행태 변화를 분석하는 것이 중요하다. 본고에서는 국내 스마트미디어 이용자의 TV를 비롯한 다양한 스마트 기기 이용행태 조사결과를 분석하여 국내 미디어 시장에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.
