선박 운항 시뮬레이션 가시화를 위한 그래픽 렌더링 엔진 기술의 개선 방향

시뮬레이션 가시화 기술은 시뮬레이터 사용자가 직접적으로 접하게 되는 기술이며, 사용자들은 보다 빠르고, 보다 현실적이며, 보다 직관적인 시뮬레이션 영상을 요구하고 있다. 컴퓨팅 기술 및 영상장비 기술 등의 하드웨어는 우수한 성능으로 발전된 반면, 현재 일반적으로 선박 운항 시뮬레이터에 사용되고 있는 그래픽 렌더링 엔진은 그 한계를 나타내고 있다. 또한 이러한 배경에서 본 논문에서는 선박 운항 시뮬레이션 시스템의 가시화를 위해 필요한 요구사항을 도출하였다. 가시화 요구사항들을 반영할 수 있는 상업용 및 공개용 그래픽 렌더링 엔진에 대해 조사/검토하며, 시스템 요구사항을 만족시키기 위한 그래픽 렌더링 엔진의 장단점을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 선박 운항 시뮬레이션 가시화에 대한 그래픽 렌더링 엔진으로서 OGRE3D의 활용가능성을 평가하였으며, 예부선 운항 시뮬레이션 가시화를 대상으로 OGRE3D 엔진의 타당성을 검토하였다. Simulation visualization technology is an important constituent through which users directly interact with simulators. Simulator users have a needs for more fast, realistic and intuitive visualization. Though hardware-related performances such as computing power and visual equipment have been grown, the limits have existed in graphics rendering engines generally used in marine simulator up to now. This paper has focused on the review of graphic rendering engines available for simulation visualization. We had deduced system requirements for visualization of ship handling simulation, had surveyed graphic rendering engines as commercial and open source, and analyzed strengths and weakness of them. The feasibility study for simulation visualization of tug-barge transportation with an open source graphics rendering engine(OGRE3D) has been demonstrated.
선박해양 생애주기(운영단계) 관리를 위한 표준 인터페이스 관련 조사 및 구축 방안

The survey and analysis of information requirements for the phase of maintenance repair, and operating of lifecycle of ships and offshore plants is needed to manage and support efficiently them with related organizations and companies. The design and manufacturing information produced by shipyards would be managed with systems which could archive and share with classification societies and ship owners for operation and maintenance of ships and offshore plants. We have surveyed and analyzed for information requirements for lifecycle(MRO phase) and considered plans and alternatives of it in this study. Various standards and methods have been considered standard interfaces with feasibility of application and we suggest various plans for making a information model of MRO phase for ships and offshore plants by combination of appropriate standards and methods.
선박 운영단계 정보 교환을 위한 선박 생애주기 통합정보모델에 관한 연구

Recently, in most industries including the aerospace, automotive, and plant ones, research works for sharing the data made from the design and production stages during operational stage have been highlighted. The research for automation in shipping industry is also performed to utilize effectively the data from shipbuilding processes. In this paper, we propose the integrated ship lifecycle information model in order to share and manage the data produced through the ship lifecycle in an efficient way. This information model includes hull information produced during ship design and production, and equipment information with 3D models, drawings, design information, maintenance information, reliability information, and repair history information produced from shipyards and equipment companies. The proposed integrated information model enables seamless information flow and flexible information sharing between diverse and distributed organizations. It means that shipyards and shipping companies could complement each other and could manage the operational lifecycle information systematically and efficiently. The integrated information model of ship lifecycle could be utilized for maintenance and classification inspection in the future.
치골 부위의 CT 적층 영상을 활용한 3D 기하학적 곡면 모델로의 가공

3D CAD technology has been extended to a medical area including dental clinic beyond industrial design. The 2D images obtained by CT(Computerized Tomography) and MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) are not intuitive, and thus the volume rendering technique, which transforms 2D data into 3D anatomic information, has been in practical use. This paper has focused on a method and its implementation for forming 3D geometric surface model from laminated CT images of the pubis. The implemented system could support a dental clinic to observe and examine the status of a patient"s pubis before implant surgery. The supplement of 3D implant model would help dental surgeons settle operation plans more safely and confidently. It also would be utilized with teaching materials for a practice and training.
조선해양 생산 시뮬레이션 요구 및 기능 분석 프로세스 연구

The productivity improvement is indispensible to shipbuilding industry for maintaining the world"s No. 1. Simulation based production recently has been an issue as prat of efforts to high efficiency production and Korean shipyards requests simulation system tools specialized in a shipbuilding industry. IT convergence project between conventional shipbuilding industry and IT simulation technology has been carried out and integrated simulation framework was proposed as a way to overcome sporadic developments. The framework would provide reusability of kernels and modules and also ensure for expansibilities to other production simulations. The fact that production simulation system should reflect shipyard requirement would be most important. We suggest an analysis process of customer requirements and functional requirements for production simulations. It is partially based on concepts of software engineering and axiomatic design. The process is applied to a design of configuration for simulation framework.
해양플랜트의 예지보전(CBM)을 지원하는 예지보전 플랫폼의 개발과 적용

As the offshore plant industry continues to shrink in recent years, oil majors and operators of offshore platforms are interested in reducing costs. They are strategically adopting efficient and economical operation and management (O&M) of offshore plant equipment as part of their cost savings. AIM(Asset Integrity Management) is emerging to responding to low price of oil and high cost of maintenance. They try to adopt as an alternative Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) which is active and aggressive operation and maintenance plans instead of Time-based Maintenance(TBM) which is a conservative maintenance plans. In this paper, we discuss the development and application of a CBM platform to support CBM processes for offshore plants. We firstly describe the definition and related research works of offshore plant condition based maintenance, and introduce the CBM solution which is the software for the maintenance application of offshore plant equipments. Based on these backgrounds, we derive the requirements of the CBM platform and describe the role and function of it, and present the test case of application to the offshore plant equipment using the core functions. The CBM processes are unfolded around the CBM platform and it gives to enable the usage of diagnostic, prognostic, and maintenance services.
해양플랜트 운영 및 유지보수를 위한 예지보전 솔루션 개요

해양플랜트는 복합·대형화 추세에 따라 사용 수명도 20~30 년 이상 장기간 운영되고 있으며, 실제 건조비보다 많은 비용과 노력을 운영/유지보수에 투자하고 있다. 해양플랜트의 특성 상 운영 및 유지보수 (O&M, Operation and Maintenance) 기간 동안의 효율적인 설비 운영이 매우 중요하며, 특히 유지보수 시스템의 첨단화 및 최적화가 해양플랜트의 수주를 위한 비즈니스 경쟁력으로 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 이에 해양플랜트의 예지보전 기술이 대응 방안으로 제시되고 있다. 예지보전(豫知保全)은 장비 상태에 대한 전문가적 진단을 통해 수명을 미리 예지하고 고장 발생 이전에 미리 보수하여 전체 시스템의 원활한 운용을 보장하는 유지보수 방법으로 정의되며, 그 핵심이 해양플랜트 예지보전 솔루션이다. 해양플랜트 예지보전 솔루션은 해양플랜트 SCADA 시스템으로부터 수집되는 정보들을 기반으로 설비의 상태를 진단하고 열화를 측정함으로써 잔여 수명을 정확히 예측하여 고장이 일어나기 직전에 보전을 실시할 수 있도록 지원하는 의사결정 지원 솔루션이며 본 논문에서는 해양플랜트 예지보전 솔루션에 대해 다루고자 한다.
