In this sutdy, thermal analysis of in-line motor system. Temperature rise is a important factor affecting the life time and efficiency of motor. For the miniaturization and performance improvement of the in-line motor, the proper thermal management is necessary. The thermal characteristics of experimental in-line motor, including water cooling structure, was compared with analysis using computational fluid dynamics(CFD). In conclusion, anlaysis and test results showed some similar trends.
A Study on the Feasibility of Installing Solar Auxiliary Power for Small Fishing Boats

대한민국의 낚시산업은 레저활동을 즐기는 인구 증가로 인해 매년 급성장하고 있으며 이에따라 규모가 큰 9-10톤급 낚시어선의 수는 매년 늘어나고 있다. 현재 운항 중인 낚시어선은 낚시 활동 중 유류비 절감과 엔진 발생 소음 저감을 위해 엔진을 정지하고 배터리를 이용하여 선박의 필수장비를 운영하고 있다. 하지만 배터리의 방전으로 인한 엔진 시동불량 등으로 인해 해상에서 표류되는 사고가 매년 꾸준히 발생하고 있으며, 이는 대형 인명사고로 이어질 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 낚시어선의 안전확보를 위해 태양광 보조전원 설치를 제안하고, 9-10톤급 선박을 대상으로 선정하였다. 대상선박의 태양광 발전설비 공간 확보 가능성을 확인하였으며, 태양광 발전설비의 적용을 검증하기 위해 조업 중 필요한 필수 부하량을 계산하고 전력분석프로그램을 통해 태양광 발전시스템을 모델링하였다. 모델링 된 태양광 발전시스템에 우리나라의 월별 수평면 평균 일사량을 적용하여 낚시어선의 태양광 보조발전장치 적용에 관한 타당성을 입증하였다. The South Korean fishing industry is experiencing a rapid growth owing to an increase in its leisure-fishing population. Consequently, fishing boats weighing 9-10 [ton] have also been increasing. Current fishing boats operate their essential equipment by switching their engines with batteries to reduce the cost of gas and engine noise. However, stranding incidents have been increasingly recorded annually, in which boats fail to start owing to discharged batteries, and these incidents can lead to serious casualties. This study proposes the installation of a solar auxiliary power system to safeguard fishing boats, particularly those weighing between 9-10 [ton]. The feasibility of securing space for the solar auxiliary power of boats under consideration was verified. To examine the application of solar power, this study calculates the load necessary to operate it for fishing and models such a system using an electricity analysis program The modeled system, which applies the monthly horizontal solar insolation, validated the adoption of a solar auxiliary power in fishing boats.

Sooting characteristics of counterflow ethylene/propane mixture flames have been experimentally studied to investigate the fuel structure effect on PAH and soot formation. Laser-induced incandescene and laser-induced fluorescene techniques were employed to measure soot volume fraction and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) concentration, respectively. Importance of C)-species on PAH growth as well as the H-abstraction-C,H, addition (HACA) mechanism has been emphasized, considering that PAH growth rate is greater for with mixed fuel than for pure fuel flan1es. It was also confirmed that HACA pathways are the dominant soot growth mechanism

Compared with the expensive traditional semiconductor processes such as the photolithography, the adhesion at high-degree vacuum, the conductive ink printing process have merits to minimize the process and toxic waste, manufacturing time. By developing the ink with the various material, the inkjet printing process for orgranic light emitting diode, liquid crystal display color filter production has been actively studied. Conductive inks are used when making electron devices by inkjet printing. Especially, the curing methods are required for improving of electrical conductivity to use metal nanoparticle ink. However, the parameters to improve the conductivity of the ink are dependent on the curing method. In this study, the variation of the resistivity by the temperature and time of the curing are evaluated in performing a furnace curing method. And the variation of the resistivity by the intensity change of laser beam and the exposure time are evaluated with performance of a laser curing method. Consequently, the laser curing method achieved similar resistivity of the ink from the furnace curing method.

A noise map has been developed for globally analyzing special noises radiating from automotive turbochargers. This map could be obtained by replacing the efficiency with noise data in a compressor performance map. The characteristics of a special noise could be easily understood from it since the noise distribution was shown on their operating area. Turbochargers were generally operated under constant speeds for measuring their performance. This paper compared two additional operation modes to the constant speed for the noise map. First, it was operated for almost constant volumetric flow rates in a compressor. Second, it was done for constant pressure ratios. In addition, it was investigated how the maps would be changed by the different sweeping times of surge-to-choke at the constant speeds, 1/2 and 1/4 times of the reference period.
