직접가압주조한 Al-5%Ni-5%Mg-(Mm) 합금의 조직 및 기계적 성질에 미치는 가압력의 영향

Misch metal (rare earth element, Ce, La, Nd, Pr) which has large influence on high-temperature stability and toughness was added to the Al-5%Ni-5%Mg alloy, and squeeze casting was used for Al-5%Ni-5%Mg-(Mm) alloys. The effect of applied pressure and misch metal additions on mechanical properties in Al-5%Ni-5%Mg alloy by direct squeeze casting has been investigated. The applied pressure were 0㎫(gravity casting), 25, 50 and 75㎫. Squeeze-cast Al-5%Ni-5%Mg-(Mm) alloys had better mechanical properties than those of non-pressurized cast alloys because of the increased cooling rate by the application of pressure during solidification. By the addition of misch metal in Al-5%Ni-5%Mg alloy, better combination of strength and elongation was obtained. The addition of 0.3%Mm in Al-5%Ni-5%Mg alloy improved the heat resistant property due to the formation of fine eutectic phases.

We report the random pattern characteristics of the super resolution near field structure(Super-RENS) write once read-many(WORM) disc at a blue laser optical system(laser wavelength 405nm, numerical aperture 0.85) and the Super-RENS read only memory(ROM) disc at a blue laser optical system(laser wavelength 659nm, numerical aperture 0.65). We used the WORM disc of which carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) of 75nm is 47dB and ROM disc of which carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) of l73nm is 45dB. We controlled the equalization (EQ) characteristics and used advanced partial-response maximum likelihood (PRML) technique. We obtained bit error rate (bER) of 10-3 level at 50GB WORM disc and bite error rate of 10-4 level at 50GB level ROM disc. This result shows high feasibility of Super-RENS technology for practical use.

Al-Mg-Si base alloys have a good strength, formability, corrosion resistance and bake hardenability. But the bake hardenability of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy is better than that of Al-Mg-Si alloy. Mn is added to improve the toughness in Al-Mg-Si alloys. But the precipitation behavior of Al-Mg-Si based alloys with large amount of Mn addition($gt;0.5 wt%) has not been reported yet. Therefore, the mechanical property and precipitation behavior of the Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy with 0.5-1.5%Mn was observed using the hardness and tensile tests, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). The tensile strength of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy increased with the increase of Mn content without decrease of elongation due to the increase of Mn dispersoid. Therefore, the combination of properties such as strength and ductility in the Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be-Mn alloy was better than that in the Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy. The formation energy of β$quot; phase of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy is decreased by the addition of Mn. But The precipitation of β' phase of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy is little affected by the addition of Mn.
PECVD 에 의해 형성된 Diamondlike Carbon 박막에서 DC Self Bias 및 보조 gas 가 광학적 성질에 미치는 영향

Diamondlike carbon thin films were prepared on Si (001) wafer by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition and we observed the variation of the optical band gap of DLC thin films with respect to deposition condition. The change of the optical band gap of the DLC thin films was investigated as a function of DC self bias which was the most important variable in PECVD and the secondary gas. When DC self bias was applied, the optical band gap decreased monotonously and when DC self bias was not applied, the degree of the change of the optical band gap decreased greatly. The change of the optical band gap had a close relation with the concentration of C-H bond in DLC thin films and the content of hydrogen decreased with the increase of DC self bias and we could verify these results by using FT-IR spectroscopy. And, It was seen that nitrogen and hydrogen gas used for secondary gas had a role of increasing the decreasing rate of the optical band gap by the breakage of C-H bond of DLC thin films during the deposition.
자동차 차체재료용 Al-Mg-Si 합금의 성형성에 미치는 첨가원소와 2 단 시효처리의 영향

The purpose of this study is to develop an Al-0.8%Mg-1.0%Si alloy that combined bake hardenability and formability. A differential scanning calorimeter, transmission electron microscope, tensile test and Erichsen test were employed to investigate bake hardenability and formability of Al-Mg-Si alloys. A new Cr and Be addition Al-Mg-Si alloy which combined bake hardenability and formability has been developed. The bake hardenability and formability of Al-0.8%Mg-1.0%Si was improved by the two step aging treatment(120℃/4hrs→180℃/0.5hrs), and by the complex addition of the 0.1%Cr and 0.057%Be elements. Erichsen value of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy is similar to that of Al-Mg-Si alloys, but the strength of Al-Mg-Si-Cr-Be alloy is higher than that of Al-Mg-Si alloys in two step aging treatment(120℃/4hrs→180℃/0.5hrs).
