체외에서 돼지 정자-난자의 상호작용시 투명대내 Lectin 결합

Objective: Lectins are cell-agglutinating and sugar specific proteins or glycoproteins of non-immune origin that precipitate glycoconjugates having saccharides of appropriate complementarity. Because of these properties, plant lectins have been used to help characterize the carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins in the zona pellucida (ZP) of several mammalian species including pigs. Treatment of oocytes with various lectins blocks sperm binding to the ZP in various mammalian species. This study was undertaken to examine the distribution of sugar residues in the ZP of pig oocytes matured in vitro and the ability of spermatozoa to bind to ZP and in vitro penetration in oocytes treated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labelled lectins. Materials and Methods: The lectins of Banderiaea simplicifolia (BS-II, bind to $\beta$-D-N-acetylglucosamine), Canavalin ensiformis (Con A, bind to $\alpha$-D-Mannose), Lens culinaris (LCA, bind to a-D-Mannose), Ricinus communis (RCA-I, bind to $\beta$-D-Galactose) and Ulex europaeus (UEA-I, bind to $\alpha$-L-Fucose) were examined for spermatozoa penetration, binding capacity to ZP and distribution of lectins. Results: The penetration rates were significantry (p<0.05) higher in control oocytes (63%) than those treated with all lectins, but penetration rates ($40{\sim}49%$) were simililar in group treated with lectins. The incidence of monospermy was similar in oocytes untreated and UEA-I, but it was higher in oocytes treated with BS-II, Con A, RCA-I and LCA. The porcine oocytes cultured for 48 h in TC-199 medium were freed from cumulus cells and treated for 30 min with fluorescein isothiocyanate-labelled lectins. When examined under fluorescein illumination, higher (p<0.001) proportions of oocytes showed fluorescein of zona pellucida after treatment with Con A (93%), LCA (93%) and RCA-I (100%) than BS-II (37%) and UEA-I (50%). All of the oocytes treated with RCA-I exhibited strong fluorescein in the outer region of the zona pellucida while those treated with LCA exhibited strong fluorescein throughout the zona pellucida. BS-II bounded mainly to the outer region and UEA-I bounded mainly to the inner region of the zona pellucida, with either strong or weak fluorescein. At 120 min after insemination in vitro, fewer spermatozoa were bound to the zona pellucida of the oocytes treated with BS-II, Con-A and RCA-I. Of the lectins, Con A most inhibited sperm binding. Conclusions: These results suggest that $\beta$-D-Galactose residues in the porcine zona pellucida may act as primary sperm receptors and inducers of the sperm acrosome reaction and these sugar residues may be involved in the block to polyspermy.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the body composition and physical fitness in order to contribute to health management and establishment of fitness level. The subjects were 49 mail Ssirum players. The results were as follow ; 1. Body mass index(BMI) were 25.11±4.31, 26.81±3.18 and 29.32±3.24 in middle, high school and university/semi-pro players, respectively. It also was 27.06±3.75 in total mean. 2. Waist to hip ration(WHR) were 0.89±0.07, 0.85±0.05 and 0.09±0.05 in middle high school and university/semi-pro players, respectively. It also was 0.88±0.06 in total mean. 3. Percent body fat(%BF) by skinfold thickness method were 23.23±9.03%, 21.79±7.79% and 24.74±6.19% in middle, high school and university/semi-pro players, respectively. It also was 22.93±7.68% in total mean. 4. Percent body fat(%BF) by bioimpedence analysis(BIA) method were 14.98±9.36%, 13.90±5.34% and 16.23±4,20% in middle, high school and university/semi-pro players, respectively. It also was 14.78±6.25% in total mean. 5. It were high correlated from 0.657 to 0.868 among %body fat by BMI, WHR, skinfold thickness method and BIA method. 6. In case of absolute strength, grip strength were 0.52±0.09(right) and 0.50±0.09(left), and leg strength was 1.80±0.52, and back strength was 1.65±0.31. 7. Flexibility were 15,84±7.07cm(trunk flexion), 16,94±8,84cm(sit and reach test) and 45,54±10.79cm(trunk extension) in total mean. 8. Power(vertical jump) was 51.86±8.93cm in total mean. 9. Simple reaction time were 257.94±28.59msec(auditory stimulus) and 230.85±25.23msec(visual stimulus) in total mean. Whole body reaction time were 397.12±46,67msec(auditory stimulus) and 375.20±53.05 msec(visual stimulus) in total mean.

Knowledge of ocular tissue development is important in understanding the congenital anomalies and in diagnosing the acquired diseases. For instance, mechanisms of retinal detachment could be precisely explained by developmental features and processes between photoreceptor cells and pigment epithelium. The pre-and postnatal development of rat retina was studied by light and electron microscopy. Ages of the fetuses examined were : 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 days. Postnatal stages were : newborn, 2, 3, 5, 7, 12, 14 and 21 days. The present observation has demonstrated the pre-and postnatal developmental order of the rat retina as follows : Prenatal development : 1. The pigment epithelium differentiates earlier than the retina cells. 2. The ganglion cells form a layer on the 14th to 15th day. Development of the nervous processes originates by vesicle formation at the marginal zone of the cytoplasm. 3. The nerve fiber layer is formed on the 15th to 16th day. The rest of the retinal cells differentiate gradually in the postnatal period. Postnatal development : 1. Outer segment began developing during the 6th postnatal day and was in close association with pigment epithelium. Developing photoreceptor lamellae were seen to be continuous with sER. 2. The outer plexiform layer began to form on the 6th day by the lateral extension of the horizontal cell processes. 3. On the 12th day synapses were formed in the inner plexiform layer. 4. At 14 days of age, differentiation of the retina was almost completed, and its morphologic features were similar to those of the adult.
장애인의 건강에 대한 지식 , 태도 및 습관에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to get ready for the method that can helping to keep or to improve the management of their health after diagnose the current level on knowledge, attitude, and practices related to health of disabled persons. The subject of this study were comprised of 154 disabled persons(the physical handicapped; 77 pers., the visually disabled; 57 pers., the aural·oral disabled 20 pers.) who belong to organizations or associations concerned with disabled persons. The conclusions are as follows; The health knowledge levels of the disabled was low, practices was passive, especially in the case of health knowledge and practices, there were differences as the types of handicaps, the visually disabled had many serious problems in the one case, the physical handicapped had them in the other case. Besides though they wanted to learn health education, it has not been done, and they didn't satisfy the sports facilities, too. Based upon the above, I will propose as follow; First, it is necessary that we must make the disabled learn health education. Second, it must be taken that a proper step(i.e. the sports facilities expansion, the development and the popularization of sporting goods and program, the upbringing plan of the trainer for the disabled) to adopt a positive attitude toward the practices of health. Third, it must be needed the positive mental determination and active attitude of the disabled with self-support.
