본고는 이청준의 <당신들의 천국>에 나타난 작중인물들의 인지행동적 특성을 진화비평적 관점에서 해명하는 데 목적을 둔다. 작품을 분석한 결과, 첫째, 조백헌 원장은 지배와 피지배 관계를 유지하고자 하며, 이를 위해 다양한 지배전략을 구사한다. 둘째, 황장로와 섬주민들은 복종과 침묵의 전략으로 대응한다. 이들의 내집단 이타주의는 호혜적 협력이라는 교환논리에 근거한다. 셋째, 이상욱은 마음읽기로 조원장의 이타주의 이면의 동상을 경계하고 지배자의 의식으로부터 자유를 확보한다. 넷째, 자유, 즉 지배 문제에 대한 제도적 해결책인 상호협의적 지배질서는 당대의 지배이념과 작가의 갈등을 드러낸다. is study aims to clarify cognitive behavior traits of the main characters in Lee Cheong-jun's ≪Heaven of Yours≫ from evolutionary perspective. The findings are as follow. Firstly, Cho, a new hospital director makes use of diverse ruling tactics to keep a dominant-subordinate, nate relationship. Secondly, Hwang, ruling elder and his people react by tactics of obedience and silence. Theirs ingroup altruism is based on reciprocal cooperation. Thirdly, character Lee doubts Cho's conviction and the Idol through mind-reading. He gains freedom over πie dominant by voyeuristic cognitive tactics. Fourthly, the reciprocal ruling order is cultural solution about dominance and exposes the conflict between dominant ideology and writer.

This study considers Park Beom-shin’s Eungyo as an old age novel based on the relationship between the main character and others. The objective of this study is to clarify the ultimate cause of thought, behavior, and mentality of the aged character and its influences on the relationship from the evolutionary approach. First, what drives the characters to pursue Eungyo is not a power struggle between a master and his disciple nor between an old man and a young man. Instead, it is sexual competence in which an old poet – Jeokyo – and his disciple – Jiwoo – compete to attract a mate – Eungyo. As sexual rivalry is a zero-sum game, it leads to a fatal result, and Jeokyo who committed homicide can be considered as a Machiavellian character. Second, Jeokyo is proud of discordance between body image and self-image. However, he is furious with the other’s view in which it is considered as abnormality and pervert and he refutes the socio-cultural composition on the meaning of aging with the argument stating that senescence and death is the law of nature. However, a young man's envy can be justified as Jeokyo's object of desire - a 17-year-old girl - possesses high reproductive value. Third, for Jeokyo, sexual desire is a restrained desire. The strong and vicious desire caused by Eungyo reveals excess and dissolute aspects. Jeokyo represses the sexual desire with heroic self-control. As a result, Eungyo remained as an ideal representing an eternal virgin and an eternal bride. In this perspective, Eungyo shows an ambivalent image illustrating actuality and transcendence, and sensuality and ideality. This connotes Jeokyo’s narcissism. 본 연구는 박범신의 『은교』를 중심으로 노년의 주인공이 드러내는 생각, 행동, 심리의 궁극원인이 무엇이며, 이런 원인이 인간관계에 어떻게 작용하는가를 진화론적 관점에서 해명하는 데 목적을 둔다. 그 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다. 첫째, 『은교』를 추동하는 힘은 스승과 제자 혹은 노인과 청년 사이의 권력투쟁이 아니라, 노시인 적요와 젊은 제자 지우가 은교라는 짝을 얻기 위한 성적 경쟁이다. 짝경쟁은 제로섬게임인 까닭에 살인이라는 치명적 결과에 이르며, 실현되지는 않지만 살인을 주도한 적요는 마키아벨리적 인물이라 할 수 있다. 둘째, 적요는 신체상과 자아상의 불일치에 자부심을 갖지만, 그런 불일치를 비정상, 변태로 간주하는 타인의 시선에 분노하고, 노화와 죽음은 자연법칙이라는 논리로 늙음의 의미에 대한 사회문화적 구성을 반박한다. 그러나 적요가 욕망대상으로 삼은 17세 여고생은 높은 번식가치를 갖는다는 점에서, 젊은이들의 시기심이 부당한 것은 아니다. 셋째, 적요에게 섹스는 자연, 즉 절제된 욕망을 의미한다. 그런데 은교에 의해 유발된 강력하고 포악한 욕망은 과도하고 무절제한 성향을 띤다. 적요는 영웅적인 절제심으로 성적 욕망을 억제하며, 그 결과 그에게 은교는 영원한 처녀, 영원한 신부라는 관념으로 남는다. 이렇게 볼 때, 『은교』에서 은교는 일상성과 초월성, 관능성과 관념성이라는 양가적 이미지를 지니며, 이는 적요의 자기애를 함축하는 것이다.

Especially focus on hypertext, advertisement, cinema, animation, TV, computer game, cyborg and android, this study aims to describe both strategy and it's political fantasy in representation of virtual reality that became marked in contemporary korean novels. It can be summarized as follow: 1. Contemporary novels represent text as sign system, plural and non ending writing. Through networked texts, they especially emphasis the value of opened writing as the political fantasy. Simultaneously they expose the Joss of real world and force the solitude reading to reader. 2. Contemporary novels represent experience of cultural products like advertisement, movie, animation, television. This representation Jay stress on significance of pluralism. Ontological pluralism of world is their political vision. But because non-materiality, the texts are to assume a theological concept of the infinite text. This expose regression in solipsism. 3. Through representation of interactive computer games, contemporary novels represent the post-organic performance of virtual body, the omnipotence of imagination. The games offer the chance to replay. In this respect, this novels deeply accentuate a comic vision of life. At the same time, the vision contains the alienated subject, the whimsical individual, the time obsessiveness. 4. By making cyborg and android novel's character, contemporary novels insist on descent of the subject. But paradoxically this political vision reinforces the egotism, the individual under surveillance, the oppression of feminine body.

황국명 동양한문학회 2012 동양한문학회 학술발표대회 Vol.2012 No.-
그동안 한국현대문학을 공부하면서 한문학 쪽은 저의 능력 밖이라고 여겨왔습니다. 이번에 동양한문학회가 주최하는 하계학술대회에 토론자로 참석하면서, 현대문학 연구와 한문학 연구의 접점을 생각할 수 있었던 것은 저에게 큰 소득입니다. 특히 이홍식 선생님의 연구성과물을 통해 항해(沆瀣) 홍길주의 사유가 현대 문학 및 문화이론, 특히 탈구조주의나 해체주의의 근본 가정과 통할 수 있음을 알고 매우 놀랐습니다. 텍스트에 대한 뛰어난 해석은 물론이고 현대 기호학 이론을 배경으로 항해의 문학세계를 섬세하게 조명한 것은 주목할 만한 연구라 아니할 수 없습니다. 한문학에 전혀 식견이 없는 저로서는 아래의 몇 가지 남루한 질문으로 배움을 얻고자 합니다.
