The purpose of this study was attempted to identify the morphological characteristics of male squash players. In detail, it was compared to anthropometry and body composition variables as performance level. In order to attain its object, it was measured to height, weight, skinfold thickness, girth, length, width, % muscle mass and % fat of 104 male squash players. Full profile recommended to ISAK (International Society of the Advancement of Kinanthropometry) was used to measure anthropometric variables. Specially, data adjusted by standard stature (170.18cm) were used to compare with anthropometric data among individuals in this study. The ANOVA was used to examine the mean value of variables on the test and the difference between groups. The results were as follows : The variables such as height, weight, sitting height, skinfold, girth, width, length, % muscle mass, % bone mass, and % fat showed meaningful statistical difference (p<.05) among the three different levels of groups. The results indicate that anthropometric variable is efficiently able to apply both assessment of training and selection of elite athletes in the squash.

This study aims to verify the validity of instructional effectiveness scale for golf players. In order to conduct this, an investigation of the scale structure and the confirmation process were verified with the evidence of customized instructional effectiveness scale based on the previous study targeted for golf players. Afterwards, study subject which was set through the data of 624 golf players were investigated by analyzing the level of difficulty, suitability, and the question response category. The following conclusions were drawn from the investigation. For the scale which consists of 21 questions under 3 factors(sporting life (5), recognized performance (9), recognized leadership (7)), 2 questions related to the recognized leadership were deleted through exploratory factor analysis, and it was found that the structure suitability was valid through the confirmatory factor analysis. However, it was confirmed that 1 question (no. 6) related to the recognized performance and 1 question (n. 16) related to the recognized leadership were not suitable, but in the response categories for the 5 point scale they were within the categories. In conclusion, it was identified that instructional effectiveness scale with 17 questions under 3 factors(sporting life (5), recognized performance (8), and recognized leadership (4)) is a valid scale for golf players. This conclusion can lead to understanding the degree of instructional effectiveness or generalizing the compared information by applying the scale identified in this study based on the golf players. Furthermore. it was concluded that this can be used as a basic material to develop a program which enhances the instructional effectiveness of golf players.

The purpose of this study was to examine the adjustment effect for coaching trust from the influence to the amateur golf player’s achievement goal orientation on self-management and game performance ability. In order to achieve this objective, this study was collected data by using the survey tool after selecting the 219 amateur golf players who belonged to the Korea junior and college golf association, which was an affiliate association of Korea golf association in 2011, and analyzed to be suitable for the purpose of this study by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. The results of analysis is give as following. First, the achievement goal orientation of amateur golf players are not significantly influencing on the game performance, and indirectly influencing on the game performance through the self-management parameters. Second, it was seen that the relationship between achievement goal orientation of amateur golf players and self-management have coaching trust as control variable. With the outcomes above, it can be concluded that if the game performance of the amateur golf players to be improved, it is necessary to accumulate the ability to trust the coaches as well as to manage themselves.

Walter Byers, the NCAA Executive Director from 1951 to 1987, coined the term 'student-athlete' in 1973. This phrase has since become widely recognized on college campuses and within society, and implies dual and separate role of being both a student and an athlete. As the term implies, these individuals attend college for two main reason: to make progress towards a college degree and to participate in intercollegiate athletics. The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing role conflict on personal attributes, athletic performance and role salience among collegiate student-athletes. The sample was drawn from 821 student-athletes who involved in intercollegiate athletics at the university located in Seoul and Kyunggido and enrolled in Korea Sports Council. They were selected by the method of stratified cluster random sampling. A survey was undertaken from 2003, using the self-administration method. All of questionnaires were personally delivered to the respondents, who immediately filled them out. t-test, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression were used to test and analysis the proposed model in the study. The findings of this study were as follow: 1. Female athletes shows greater cognitive and empirical status role conflict and load conflict, cognitive self role conflict, and empirical student-athlete role conflict than male athletes, three years athletes shows greater cognitive and empirical student-athlete role conflict than any other years athletes, and athletes with high level of life shows cognitive self role conflict and empirical student-athlete role conflict than any other athletes with love of life. 2. Athletic success influence cognitive self role conflict, and playing career has effect on empirical student-athlete role conflict. 3. Relative knowledge related in role of student and athlete has effect on all of cognitive and empirical role conflict, relative time spent in role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive status role conflict, cognitive and empirical load role conflict, and empirical student-athlete role conflict. And relative values of role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive and empirical status role conflict, cognitive and empirical load role conflict, empirical self role conflict and empirical student-athlete role conflict, and relative devotion in role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive self role conflict. status role conflict, load role conflict, and student-athlete role conflict, And satisfaction with student role has effects on cognitive self role conflict, and empirical status role conflict and load role conflict.
