        There are sporadic descriptions contained in the 「History of the Korea Mission Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.」, but they are consistent with historical materials of YoungNak Church and provide readers with an overall picture of Reverend Han. According to the material, Reverend Han was the following: First, he had an immense interest in mission related to North Korea. Second, he was a great minister. Third, he was the founder of the largest presbyterian church in the world. Fourth, he is a representative Christian philanthropist. Fifth, he was a great Christian educator. Sixth, he had a special fervor for evangelism and missionary work. Seventh, he was a leader of united church projects, the restoration of the church and re-education of ministers. As such, Reverend Han was a perfect minister who had all the necessary qualities. He was a model and mentor to all ministers and Christians.

        According to Jesus there are two kinds of leadership, i.e. Star-Leadership and Servant-Leadership. If the kingdom is Jesus’ master thought, then Servant-Leadership is his master principle. For him, the essence of leadership is: First, Servant-Leadership is in contrast to Star-Leadership, in so far as it involves "lording it over" others; Second, Servant-Leadership is internally consistent with the very nature of a community which seeks to live in Christ - where greatness is ranked by service, and primacy through voluntarily being last; Third, Servant-Leadership takes its ultimate model from "the Son of Man[who] did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many〃(MK 10:45).

        Article 3 of the CUCAK (Christian University Chaplain``s Association, Korea) bylaws defines the qualification of a member as a professor who is concurrently a pastor. This paper takes a look at the qualification and role of a university chaplain in connection with such a definition. Therefore, this paper discusses the following qualifications for a university chaplain: l. A chaplain as a professor 2. A chaplain as a pastor This paper also discusses the following roles of a chaplain based on Jesus Christ``s role (prophet, priest and king): l. Role of a professor 2. Role of a preacher/proclaimer 3. Role of a peace maker 4. Role of a policy maker 5. Role of a pastoral counselor.

        In this paper we have found the following things. Matthew wrote his Gospel especially for the Jews. It is very natural, therefore, that it should begin with a genealogy. Obviously, Jesus, would not be accepted as the Jewish Messiah unless it could be proved by the genealogical records that He was the son of David, for the Jews believed that their Messiah would come from the royal line of Israel’s greatest King David. Thus the genealogy has twofold purposes. First, it has a historical purpose. It aims at exhibiting Jesus as the Messiah of prophecy, the king of Israel, who is come to set up the Kingdom of heaven. Much prominence is, therefore, given to fulfillments of Old Testament predictions. The genealogy is given to show that Jesus is a son of David. Jesus is presented to the Jews not only as their Messiah, but as their King. At the very beginning the genealogy gives the royal line, proving Jesus’ right to the throne of David. Second, it has a theological purpose. God has promised Abraham that in him should all the families of the earth be blessed, and here we see of its fulfillment. Jesus touched all sorts of people in this genealogy, in order that He might save all sorts of people. In other words, the salvation of Gentiles is implicit in this genealogy.
