설계변경된 sector 챔버를 제작하고, 저장링 챔버로서 성능을 알기 위하여 각종 진공실험을 하였다. 가스방출률은 낮은 10^(-13) Torr.1/sec/㎠이고 누설률은 1×10^(-10) Torr.1/sec이하이며 2회 bakeout과 NEG활성화후 얻어진 최종진공도는 낮은 10^(-11) Torr이었다. 이러한 결과는 저장링 sector챔버의 진공요구조건을 충분히 만족시킨다. A sector chamber refined design has been fabricated and tested vacuum in order to examine performance of sector chamber of storage ring. The outgassing rate is low 10^(-13) Torr. l/sec/㎠. The leak rate is less than 1×10^(-10)Torr.l/sec and the ultimate pressure is achieved low 10^(-11) Torr after twice bakeout and NEG activation. These results satisfy the terms desired of vacuum for the PLS storage ring chamber.

The separation of metal chips from a roller is a very important problem in the performance of a food pulverizer because the metal fragments contaminate the pulverized food powder. It was reported that the metal chip separation is facilitated as the temperature of a roller increases from other previous studies, which means that the surface temperature of a roller is a key factor of the metal chip separation. This study is performed to reduce the separation of metal chips from a roller in a pulverizing process. We changed the design parameters such as a surface shape of a roller, a cooling temperature, and a cooling water flowrate for the cooling of a roller. From the experiments, it was found that the changes of the design parameters greatly increased the heat transfer efficiency, which resulted eventually in the reduction of the separation of metal chips from a roller.
Performance of a Prototype Sector Chamber of the PLS Storage Ring

포항가속기 저장링 진공시스템의 성능을 예견하기 위하여, 초도품 진공 챔버를 제작, 조립 및 테스트를 하였다. 비휘발성 흡착펌프와 이온펌프로 구성되어 있는 다섯대의 혼합펌프와 한대의 터보펌프를 사용하였다. 그 결과 낮은 10^(-10)Torr를 얻음으로서 설계된 진공도를 성취하였다. A prototype sector vacuum chamber has been fabricated, assembled and tested for the purpose of predicting the performance of the vacuum system of the PLS storage ring. The chamber has been pumped by five combination pumps consisting of a 60ι/s sputter ion pump and non-evaporable getter module(s), and a 200ι/s turbomolecular pump for roughing. The pressure obtained is low 10^(-10)Torr which is the designed vacuum. After the chamber assembly and the vacuum system are briefly described, the performance of the vacuum system is presented.

Power conditioning systems (PCS) perform to convert the variable direct current (DC) output of a solar module into alternating current (AC) that is distributed to the electrical grid. For providing high quality power continuously, it is importance to develop high reliable and maintainable PCS in system design and development phase. In this paper, we deal with a RAM analysis of a PCS and build a functional tree in order to define essential functions and components in the system. Also, a commercial simulation S/W, BlockSim is used to estimate the average annual availability and average annual frequency of system failures. Also, numerical examples are studied in order to analyze the target values of MTBF of the components and PM intervals that satisfy the target availability and reliability.
