For the industrial pollution and energy crisis of auto industry, New vehicle system needs to improve fuel efficiency in idling mode. A solution to the Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system is being considered by the auto industry. This paper introduces development of HIL simulation environment, which simulates the behavior of the 12V ISG system. In case of actual vehicle test, it involves a number of constraints of experimental variable control and arrangement, cost for the development. Therefore, in this paper, test-bench based on HIL is developed to build reliable verification environment for improvement research related to ISG system. The key component such as starter-motor and alternator are selected real parts. And the dynamic simulation model of vehicle for HIL simulation is bulilt by using Matlab Simulink.

A solution to the Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system is being considered by the auto industry. In this paper, an operation algorithm and a performance simulator are developed for a 12-volt ISG system. And it is introduced the fundamental research related to ISG system and proposed the dynamic simulation model of the ISG system for the Test-bench by using Matlab Simulink. Its design is obtained from each component such as vehicle dynamics ? Engine, Torque converter, Gear, Tire model and vehicle power system ? Alternator, Starter motor, Battery. This paper proposes configuration of algorithm for build environment about test-bench.
