This study is clinico-statistical analysis and survey of 260 cases who were admited and treated for ectopic pregnancy at Soonchunhyang Hospital from June 1, 1974 to May 31, 1980 The results of this study were as follows; 1. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy was 1 : 34 (3.0%) of deliveries and tends to increase the number of cases every year. 2. The most freguent age group was in 25-39 years of age (81.5%) and the mean age was 31.5 years. 3. Nulligravida was 13.8% nullipara 29.2% and multipara 70.8% and the cases who have experienced artificial abortion ever one time was 65.4% and the last pregnancy ended in normal delivery in 21.2% and artificial abortion in 48.8% of total 4. The mean duration of sterility was 3 years and 4 months and 7.3% was 9 years or more of sterility. 5. A history of previous artificial abortion was noted in 65.4% and previous laparotomy in 19.2% among them, 8.1% was repeat ectopic pregnancy and 5.4% was appendectomy laparoscopic sterilization was 3.8% Pelvic inflammatory disease was noted in 4.6% vaginitis in 3.5% pelvic tuberculosis in 1.5% IUD in 1.5% and cervicitis in 1.2%. The duration between the first and the second ecopic pregnancy was distributed in 3 months to 12 years and its mean was 4 years and 6 months. Particullary one case of third ectopic pregnancy on same side was present. 6. The mean interval between L.N.M.P and onset of symptoms was 6.2 weeks.
