본 연구는 무용 전공자(현대무용, 한국무용, 발레)의 전공과 사회적 배경에 따른 정서 및 신체의식의 차이를 규명하는데 목적이 있으며 이 연구에서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 무용전공자들의 전공과 사회적 배경에 따른 정서는 유의한 차이를 보인다. 특히 한국무용전공은 자긍심에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 정신건강과 관련하여 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 알 수 있으며, 반면 발레 전공은 긴장, 우울, 노여움, 피로감, 혼돈감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데 이는 발레가 고난도의 테크닉이 요구되는 동시에 부상에 대한 염려가 높아 긴장감과 피로감이 높게 나타남에 기인함을 알 수 있다. 그리고 현대무용 전공은 활력감과 자긍심에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데 이는 현대무용이 가진 동작의 자연스러움과 상상력과 추상적인 내면의 감정 표출 가능성에 기인한 것으로 판단된다. 그리고 무용전공 경력은 자긍심에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 특히 한국무용의 10년 이상 경력을 가진 경우 가장 높게 자긍심이 형성되는 것으로 나타났고, 무용전공 학생들의 건강상태와 수상경험 역시 자긍심에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 무용전공자들의 전공과 사회적 배경에 따른 신체의식은 유의한 차이를 보인다. 특히 현대무용 전공은 내적 신체변인에 영향을 미치고, 한국무용 전공은 외적 신체변인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 현재의 학력과 무용전공 경력, 수상경험 특성, 건강상태의 특성도 신체의식에 상당한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to examine the different mood and body consciousness according to the dancing specialists` demographic characteristics (the Korean dance, the modern dance, and the ballet). The conclusions drawn from this study can be summarized as follows: 1) The experiences of winning prize as dancing specialists affect the emotion- psychological variable. This affects the chaotic sensitivity and pride, especially the modern dancing specialists without experiences of winning prize experience the negative mood due to the discompose and stress in their mind. 2) The students having a major in dancing, experiences of scholarships and winning a prize show similar mental conditions about the body consciousness. This study can be used as the basic material of dancing education through the following processes: researching the relationship between dancing specialists` social background and psychological variable, understanding each individual`s emotion and physical awareness, selecting the major pertaining to each emotion and physical awareness and, as a result, inducing the positive change among them.
