The main objective of this work is to investigate the performance characteristics of R134a Heat Pump System for the Battery Electric Vehicle. In this study, the performance characteristics of the Heat Pump System were analyzed for heating, and results for performance were provided for operating conditions when using recovered heat from the ambient above -10 degrees. The experimental work has done with variations of the electric compressor speed, front air velocity of exterior heat exchanger, and the ambient. The heating capacity of the interior heat exchanger was measured up to 5.6 ㎾.

The main objective of this work is development of High Efficiency Heatpump System for Battery Electric Vehicle. In this study, the heating capacity and power consumption of the Heatpump System were analyzed on the air source and coolant source. This Experimental work has done with variations of ambient temperatures in the wind tunnel. And results for test shows that coolant source type is lower power consumption than air source type. And, to make high efficiency, coolant heatpump system is applied some items to grab at heat loss. This work get results that power consumption was saving 25% and 45% by base system at each 0℃ and ?20℃ ambient temperature.

The purpose of this study is development of Automatic Transmission Fluid warmer for the fuel economy. In this paper, experiments conducted to develop ATF Warmer & Cooler with Same Cooling Performance of Conventional Water Cooled Oil Cooler. Stacked plate heat exchanger applied in ATF Warmer to investigate the heat transfer characteristic and relationship between operating parameter and effect of the fuel economy. The results show that the friction of Automatic transmission fluid decrease in the fast warm up conditions and this effects make 0.7~1.2% of fuel economy improvement.

For the prevention of depletion of energy resources and global warming in the world, efficient use of energy is required. By a global movement like this, the most important issue in the automobile field is improved fuel efficiency in recent. In order to improve the fuel efficiency of automobiles, improving performance of air conditioning system is the most important. In this study, it has been the design of the sub-expansion system has enough sub-cooling is obtained in the condenser outlet. In this system, the triple tube heat exchanger and the refrigerant expansion circuit is installed in the condenser outlet for performing heat exchange even more. The experimental results, sub-expansion system confirmed cooling performance to be better than 8% of the existing system.
