Urea SCR system is well known technology to reduce NOx from diesel engine. In Korea, Vanadium SCRs have been used in heavy-duty commercial vehicles with introducing EURO-4. As vanadium is regarded as the material of causing cancer, Zeolite SCR would be technical alternative to meet next regulation stage. In this study, NOx reduction characteristics have been compared between Vanadium and Fe-Zeolite SCR depending on some parameters like space velocity, NO2/NOx ratio, NH3 concentration, etc. The tested vanadium and Fe-Zeolite SCR have similar tendency in NOx reduction as above parameters, but show quite different performance characteristics in low temperature.

The green house gas(GHG) emission from transportation sector including motor vehicle account for 17% , so various and global actions have been done to reduce GHG from motor vehicles. In addition to regulating engine exhaust CO₂ emission, policies are being constructed to give incentive for CO₂ reduction technologies which could not be well estimated with conventional emission test mode. Mobile air conditioning(MAC) is quite big energy consumption device in vehicle operation. EPA in USA and European Commission is developing how to estimate the increase of CO₂ and to differentiate advanced high-efficiency technologies. In this study, test methods expected to be set up for MAC estimation have been conducted with Korean vehicles of different MAC technology levels. The results show the lower CO₂ increase with more advanced MAC technology but different quantity of increase as test method.

Eco Innovation(EI) means CO<sub>2</sub> reducing technologies where the CO<sub>2</sub> reduction benefit of the technology is not adequately captured on the CVS-75 mode and highway fuel economy test. Light Duty Vehicles (LDVs) CO<sub>2</sub> emission or Fuel Efficiency (FE) have been regulated as Corporate Average Sales Emissions since 2009 in Korea. Car manufacturer selected CO<sub>2</sub> or FE every year and submit the sales volume and CO<sub>2</sub> results by model of the year to Ministry of environment until March next year. Fourteen of the nineteen car manufacturers have been passed the CO<sub>2</sub> levels of the year in 2017. However, all manufacturer are not penalized in 2017. Because, they have already met the limit of CO<sub>2</sub> three years ago. That results have been valid for three years. So they have enough CO<sub>2</sub> surplus of results. But almost car manufacturer will be expected to hardly pass CO<sub>2</sub> target level in 2020. That time CO<sub>2</sub> target is 97g/km. So manufacturer needs a strategy to achieve the target.

LPG vehicles accounted for 13% of the entire vehicle registration number, and LPG Taxi is approximately 11% for full of LPG vehicles. These taxis past the warranty period to easy because taxis driving-patterns. Thus, many number of LPG taxis past of warranty period. Also Atmospheric Environment is expected to have a big impact due to the aging of the three-way catalyst. so, LPG taxis past the warranty period for the three way catalyst exhaust gas test was performed. Test was runnig on a chassis dynamometer, test mode use CVS-75 mode. Test vehicle was select on 13 car. Fix the distance average each 200000, 250000, 300000, 350000km ±10000 km. Compared there distance to stand for 200000km, THC was show to increase tendency -3%, 62%, 68%, CO was show to steady tendency -12%, 10% and 28%, NOx was show to increase tendency -15%, 32%, -14%. But this result is under of new car"s emission standard. and very small. Thus, the reason of not different each other. Only NOx Emission is over from New-car Emission standard.

Emission regulations for diesel vehicles have been dramatically strengthened to reduce air pollutions of urban area. Korea has introduced European strict regulations to light-duty diesel vehicles which Euro6 emission limit was enforced from 2014. Recent studies of on-road NOx emissions have shown that considerable NOx discrepancies exist in driving certification test cycle and on-road. It is regarded as a reason of ineffectiveness of strict vehicle emission regulations on reducing air pollutants such as NO<sub>2</sub>. In this study 20 Euro6 vehicles have been tested in various driving conditions on chassis dynamometer beside conventional certification driving cycle, NEDC. The results have shown very large range of NOx emission values as tested vehicles and engine calibration rather than emission reduction technologies impacted on increased NOx emissions. When vehicles were driven in high ambient temperature with operating air conditioner and in low ambient temperature, reduced EGR function caused excessive NOx emissions. A vehicle emitted high NOx emission in slightly different driving conditions caused by shut-off EGR and was considered to use defeat device.
