기존의 수계소화설비(옥내소화전, 스프링클러설비)에 설치되어 있는 기동용 수압개폐장치(압력챔버)를 설치시 압력챔버, 압력계 및 압력스위치 등의 복잡한 구성요소의 설치로 많은 설치공간을 확보해야하는 단점이 있다. 또한 사 용되는 수계소화설비의 수량에 따라 동일 설비를 추가로 또 설치해야 하는 등 경제적 비용과 설치공간의 추가적인 확 보 및 내진설계의 도입으로 기존 설비에 대한 내진성능을 확보해야 등 많은 어려움을 가지고 있다. 따라서 기존의 복잡 한 구성품이 아닌 간단한 형식과 신뢰성 및 다량의 수계소화설비의 제어가 가능한 새로운 전자식 압력챔버의 개발이 반드시 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 전자식 디스플레이 터치패드를 통한 압력설정 기능과 다채널(4개 채널) 압 력설정이 가능하며, 배관에 직접 설치하도록 설계하였다.
